Food was better than I expected. I like that it was made fresh to order. It was hot and the wait was not too bad. The employees were nice. Price was fair. I would not eat this often. I felt really guilty because I know its horrible for my health literally eating, you feel all the friedness affecting your body. I didn't feel great after. Not sure if it was the grease or what, but whatever. It's fine if you're hungry. read more

I'm visiting my son from Southern California, and he insisted that I try JJ's Fish and Chicken. We ordered the 30-piece wings, two family orders of fries, and three orders of fried okra. After tasting the wings, I was hooked! The prices were reasonable, the staff was friendly, and the food quality and portions were more than enough for four adults and four kids. read more

This was my first time experiencing JJ's Fish & Chicken, and I was thoroughly impressed. I ordered the Big Appetite Special and enjoyed every part of it. The whiting was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the chicken wings were outstanding--enhanced beautifully by the lemon pepper seasoning--and the shrimp was equally exceptional. Although the wait for my food was a bit long, it was completely understandable given how busy the restaurant was--a clear testament to its popularity. The staff were friendly, professional, and provided excellent service. Overall, a fantastic first visit, and I look forward to returning soon. read more

Food was good and had great taste. However there tilapia could have beenseason better. I ordered a fish combo which came with two items of your choice. I got a two piece catfish and tilapia, came with the side of french fries and coleslaw and you got a drink. Service was okay. The lady that was taking my orders was getting frustrated and then miskey my order, she wanted me to pay additional instead of pricing the difference. J J offers delicious food, especially if you enjoy fried dishes. They are particularly famous for their fried chicken. Although the staff may not be very welcoming upon your arrival, the food is always served hot. However, It's a great spot if you're looking for a hearty, indulgent meal. I live in LA now but everytime I come back home to GA my first spot is usually JJ's off Wesley Chapel. I first got introduced to JJ's when they first opened back in the mid 2000's and I was hooked immediately because 1) They was giving food away. I believe back then a 6pc wing combo was less than $6 dollars 2) Chicken was good as a mf Now let's be honest, it's a hood establishment and I'm sure we've all seen the videos of a certain type of rodent caught on video on the restaurant. All imma say is this, everyone has a bad day and Jordan didn't score 50 every game so if you can get past that you'll be alright. Plus let's be honest, if you in this part of the Dec you ain't the scary type lol. Everything hit from the chicken to the fish and desserts. Matter of fact do yourself a favor and get one of their frozen lemonades, it's a perfect summertime refresher and goes very well with your favorite chosen spirit. As with everything prices have gone up overtime but for the price and amount of food you get you really can't be mad. read more

They suck! Don't got right ticket numbers or something then make you reorder and get a new ticket when you come. Slow service but that food good like always. Also when I got in my car to take a drink of my lemonade it was dripping everywhere in my car cus they ain't put the top all the way on there. We have purchased food from JJ's in the past and it was always excellent but it was at the Stone Mountain location. At this particular location (Wesley Chapel), the chicken tenders and catfish were dry, hard and overcooked. The Stone Mountain location was a better experience. I called to ask how this could be rectified. I was told to bring in my food along with my receipt. Normally, this would be OK, but I live in Braselton Georgia. Oh well $40 down the drain! read more

Can't say much about the Ambiance or Service. Very busy location, don't expect to dine in - strictly in and out. If you place order online with credit card be prepared to show card and drivers license when picking up food. Not the cleanest spot and parking can be a little challenging. However, the food was good, tasty and hot. read more

Location: Hampton Road, McDonough, Georgia Staff was rude. I asked if their food was spic as I am allergic to many peppers and spices. They assured me it was not. I ordered food. Took a drink from a cooler. It was room temperature. I asked for ice and a cup. No ice or cups. I sat at table after receiving food. It had a powdery substance on the fish and fries. It was HOT! I tried shaking powder off and succeeded with the fries. I went to counter an asked for salt. No salt. The floor hadn't been swept. It wasn't clear it was a help-yourself- to pick out very cheap plastic ware and napkins. When I complained about their overall service I received eye rolls and laughter. Will never return. If this is the best you can do, close shop. read more

Two, is for the food. The people at this establishment were gawd awful. ATTITUDES WHEW. Took forever and a day to bring out the food. We sat inside listening for our numbers and we didn't hear them at all. So finally i go ask and she says that they've called us already and i said well we've been sitting here and don't hear it and she was pissed that I still wanted my order that we were waiting on. Did she think bc we didn't hear our numbers that we just weren't going to want our food? Also, they knew whose food it was we were directly in front of them, why didn't she just say "hey, u two!" Then they wanted to short us on the sauces.. we ordered 100 wings fries WTH am I going to do with 2 sauces? Just awful. Some places just need to stay in the original city. I usually don't write reviews even for bad food but I just had to for this. Don't eat here. The meat tasted like they had it for a week and forgot it was sitting there and just decided to cook it. me and my sister immediately got sick from it. If they used old meat for me, who is to say they won't do it for your order or for the fish? Don't take that chance. read more

I've been to two different locations one on Wesley chapel road and the one on candler road and neither has disappointed. can't go wrong with those whole fried wings, fried mushrooms, corn nuggets, the fish and coleslaw, just everything. get that special seasoning put on everythin.....it just gives it another kick. be forewarned....it is best to order online and just go for pickup and even then you'll have just a tad bit of a wait. they are always crowded at both locations. now with covid-19 they give you a little notification thing that will buzz when your order is ready so you can go back to your car and wait but still crowded all the time. read more

Short wait for our food to be prepared and it was fresh and hot! The place was packed so we were pleasantly surprised to be in and out of there in less than 10 minutes! That cra*k seasoning is something special. My chicken breast dinner was delicious. The catfish meal had the ENTIRE fish which was nice. Food was so good we started eating outside in the car! GUN VIOLENCE!!! I love jj fish, randomly this day August 6th I googled one near me and it just so happened to be this location on Wesley chapel!! Little did I know my life and a few other customers life could've ended. Literally 2 teenagers with pistols were trying to murder each other!! Bullets flew everywhere (at least 30bullets between the 2 boys). Everyone was laying on the dirty floor inside and outside! No one got killed so you can only image how bullets flew!! Some people left their food they were waiting on and some people ran for safety. This is a day I would never forget. This doesn't stop the fact that their food is good but I'd never come to this location again. Come to later find out, they say this always happens there smh!! STOP THE VIOLENCE read more

THIS JJ Fish apparently has new ownership/management since the pandemic because they now have an completely new staff. I called in my order & the employee that took my order did not give me a number (like they usually do); he hung up so quick, before I could ask. Called back & another employee said, "Ok... I'll give you a number... ahhh..." Like he was pulling it out of the damn sky, really?!? I went to pick up my fried fish and hush puppies order and the fish was hard as hell. Overcooked. I usually love to come to JJ J Fish. Today I ordered a family fish meal. When I opened the pan to put seasoning on it I was horrified!!! A hair!!!! No problem. I just asked that they remake my order. The girl at the counter tried to argue with me and tell me that it was not hair because it was stretchy!!!! How crazy! I said that if it was not fish that I needed a new order. They then wanted my receipt and tried to make it difficult. I must say that one young man. Probably a manager told them that none of that was necessary and to just remake it. All I was asking for was good customer service. Out of everyone there ONE young man understood. Poor customer service. read more

I don't know what's going on today 12/17/16 in JJ's but it looks like a family reunion or maybe a Christmas party. It scared me at first, I almost didn't order because any other time they are slow as molasses. Today I received my order in 18min!! Fresh, hot crispy fried food! I went all out and even got fries. I usually skip fries but I ate them today and got every bit of my $10.78 worth on my chicken/fish plate. I also enjoy the shrimp and fried mushrooms from here. I have been here on more than one occasion but today I felt the need to review. Friendly customer service thru drive up window or at counter inside. You can dine inside there are several tables with a restroom for customers. I have never stepped inside of the restroom but the establishment is clean I'm hoping the same for the bathroom. I don't think there's a single thing in here not fried. Lol The menu was a bit hard to understand and there was a bit of a language barrier. So we ended up with a crap ton of food. I was a bit disappointed that there were no homemade sauces. Everything was generic out of a package. The fish filet was not very good at all, and the catfish nuggets were fried a little hard. There was a little condiment cup of coleslaw and fries for a side. I also tried the fried shrimp which was pretty decent. And they season everything with what looks and taste like salty powdered sugar. The best thing I had was the pineapple lemonade. It was super yummy. Minus the weird Cling wrap they put around the cup. Still unsure of the purpose of that. The wait was also pretty long, but ok because they make everything fresh. Just be prepared to wait even longer if it's a lot of people. I'd probably skip this spot the next time around. read more

I call this place the chick fil a of the hood. Food is always fresh, tasty, and the chicken is flavorful. The seasoning is so good! Everything is made to order which is good. I'm not much of a fried fish person, but the whole catfish is on point and seasoned to perfection. Wing combos come with 2 pieces of bread, fries and coleslaw. You get a lotta food. Fries are decent but nothing to write home about. Combos are around $6 for 4 pieces (no drink). When I'm craving fried chicken JJ's is the move. read more

Running a place with high demand I can understand if it is from the freezer because orders need to go out in a timely manner, but it was unacceptable and really surprised me coming from you guys. I'll still give my business to you, but I'll never get the Hibachi again.

Incredible across the board. I'm not even a big fish guy, but I got the fish and chips and loved it. That alone says a lot. Spinach dip loved it. Fish tacos loved them. Dessert loved it. Beer loved it. There's a ton of variety on the menu, and everything we tried delivered. That kind of consistency is rare. Service was over-the-top good. Attentive, friendly, and added to the whole experience. Price felt exactly right for a date night spot not cheap, but definitely worth it for the quality. Couldn't be happier with this one. And it's worth noting that the drinks are also well above average: I've enjoyed the indulgence of a Bravassi hard Italian soda with my meal on a lazy afternoon, after shopping at the Second Life thrift store. Their drinks are very good, and they serve them up straightaway to savor while you wait for your order to come up. I have not yet ordered a salad but they have an array of excellent / choices, and I know they will not disappoint. I also want to note that although there is not waiter service (which makes it an ideal spot to meet friends) the staff is friendly, and well above average.
