Update..came on a Sunday about an hour prior to closing. I ordered a 20 piece special. UGH! cold fries, wings not fresh nor crisp, and they gave me the wrong order. I tried to call back 20 mins before closing but keep getting voicemail. Won't be back!

We visited Voss Lounge on Wednesday, April 1, excited for happy hour after seeing their Instagram flyer advertising $5 drinks, small apps, and hookah. Well...that's not exactly what we got. Once we arrived, we were told those $5 specials were actually for Tuesdays--not Wednesdays--and that detail was not clear on Instagram. I was told it was listed on their website, but let's be real...this is 2026--people are checking IG and TikTok, not websites. If you're promoting on social media, it needs to be accurate. We got there around 4:15 PM (happy hour starts at 4), and the place was empty--music wasn't even on yet. My party of four was seated right away, and we ordered drinks, food, and hookah. The lounge itself was beautiful--decked out in red and black with a really nice vibe. I had lemon drops and wings--both were actually really good. No complaints on the food or drink at all. But just know, the wings were not $5 since that special didn't apply that day. Now...the hookah experience? A complete mess. The hookah wasn't $5 either--it was $25 if I recall correctly. The hookah attendant recommended a flavor that was honestly not good at all. When we told her we didn't like it and asked to switch flavors (which we were willing to pay for), she tried to make us purchase a refill instead of simply fixing the issue. We asked to speak to a manager. She went to the back and spoke with someone who I later found out was the owner--but he never came out to address us. That alone didn't sit right with me. Instead, she came back, grabbed the hookah, and walked off. No explanation, no replacement--nothing. It felt like, "We won't charge you, but you're also not getting another one." That whole situation completely turned us off. Now I will give credit where it's due--our waitress was an absolute sweetheart. Friendly, attentive, and she did her best to take care of us. But overall, between the misleading Instagram promotion, the poor hookah experience, and the lack of management presence...this just wasn't it for me. Giving Voss 2/5 for good food, a beautiful space, and a great waitress Everything else? Needs work. Unfortunately, I won't be back!

The vibe, the food, the drinks... all on another level. And I will absolutely be dreaming about those sticky ribs until we can go back. We started the night with some frozen beverages, and my favorite was the Watermelon Crawl -- tequila, fresh cantaloupe and watermelon, lime and salt. So refreshing and absolutely perfect for a hot Atlanta night! We shared the 3-meat BBQ plate, and the sides were every bit as delicious as the mains. The brisket practically melted in your mouth, and the cheddarwurst was smoky, cheesy goodness. The smashed potato salad tossed in Alabama white sauce was the perfect mix of tangy, creamy and vinegar-y. Everyone was so kind and the service was excellent! We will definitely be back to try more delicious menu items

The service has been great, and the waitstaff is super knowledgeable about their drinks and food. It's such a cool vibe inside, but it is very dark. The food is always incredible, and I'm partial to their seafood options. I've had both the snapper and the trout, and they were exceptional. Their cocktail menu is 10/10. We snagged an early dinner reservation at 5:15 pm and surprisingly, people were already dining and they just got busier as time went on. We were greeted right away by our wonderful server (forgot her name though) and she asked if it was our first time there and if we were celebrating something. We answered yes to both and they actually brought us complimentary champagne, a sparkling non-alcoholic cider for me because I ordered a zero proof drink. Kimball House is known for their amazing bar program, so my husband ordered a Kimball House served with a side of olives and lemon twist on ice, like what?! I ordered a ginger & honey lime fizz to enjoy. For starters, we also enjoyed Hawaiian rolls, green salad and some oysters for my husband. The rolls and salad came out super fast, but there was quite a wait for our drinks and oysters that I didn't think they were going to come out. The rolls are a must-get here - they're huge and the strawberry preserve it was served with was delicious! The salad was actually split in half, which was a super nice touch and was plenty of serving between two people. We loved the dressing - it was nice and fresh. For our entree, I ordered a trout and my husband ordered the duck breast. I was a bit underwhelmed when I saw my plate because I was thinking it would be a plate full of grits, but what was served was the perfect amount because it was quite heavy. The trout by itself was too salty for my taste, but was best eaten with a bite of collards and grits. My husband enjoyed his meal, but wished the duck was cooked a bit more. For dessert, we both enjoyed a Paris Brest. Our server actually put it in twice so we each got one when she meant to only punch in one, but she ended up taking one off from our bill. I was quite shocked that our whole dinner was only around $190, not including tip, which I thought was quite reasonable. We definitely recommend this place for date night or simply for delicious food.

We also ordered the buttermilk pancakes, fried chicken wings, and the lobster and shrimp omelette that were also really delicious! Since I like to try multiple things, I really appreciated the fact that their menu allowed à la carte options so I was able to get a side of shrimp and grits instead of a full sized entree. The chef came out multiple times to ensure customers were satisfied with the meals so the service was excellent. The only call out to note is that it's an outdoor restaurant so in the middle of the summer it can be hot. However, it was a covered patio and enough fans to keep the air circulating so it didn't bother us much. This won't be our last visit to say the least.

Open Wednesday - Sunday. We welcomed the calm, family-friendly vibe and free parking. Even with the rain, we were dry and toasty. Other than breathing fresh air, you wouldn't know you're outside. Seat yourself and scan a QR code with your phone to order and prepay. Being old school I think you get better tips by greeting the table and giving recommendations. But there was only one server, she was friendly and hustling. I love the grown up music - neo soul and pop (Selena, Ed Sheeran), with enough volume to hear each other, clean restrooms and comfy seating. Food came out quick, hot and fresh. The amiable owner greeted us after to inquire about our meals. We had a party of 7 (4 adults, 2 teens, 1 kid). I loved my pancake breakfast! The filling, not too sweet hot cakes were promptly drenched in warmed Mrs. Butterworths. Applewood smoked bacon? Blissful. Scrambled eggs with cheese? Dreamy. I devoured it all and left full and content. My Dad said the Blueberry Pancakes were the best breakfast he ever had! Ms. Chicken and Waffles thought the poultry was a bit salty yet "well-seasoned with the perfect crunch." Waffle? Delicious. On a scale of 1-5, Mr. Cream Cheese French Toast and Grits Bowl ranked it 10! "Grits were magical, better than Milk and Honey." Teen's Simple Breakfast (potatoes, eggs and bacon) and French Toast "blew IHOP out of the water!" Preteen ranked his Simple Breakfast and side of French Toast "5 quintillion!" The bacon was a bit tough but the bread blew him away! Kiddo - ranked her kids breakfast (large fruit-topped pancake with eggs and bacon) 6 out of 5! Would we return and recommend? A resounding yes! This quaint, low-key family owned business with amazing food gets our vote every time.

I'm a little confused about their hours of operation and when they serve food or not. Looks like a really quaint, lovely place, we are from out of town and would have loved to try it. Today, after reading some Google Reviews it is apparent that other customers have complained about this restaurant's treatment of families with children in the past. This makes me sad. Our children are well behaved and dine out often. Anyway, because we were turned away we took our 8 top to Cherokee Rose and dropped $400 plus tip. That money would have gone to Sweet Potato Cafe.
