I've thought a lot about this experience before writing my review. First, we have used professional…read moremovers (3 different companies) prior to this experience. All of them went well or very well. This was absolutely no bueno. 1. There's a moving special on their Yelp page "First-time customer special New customers get a free fuel with a purchase of $400." We did not receive this as they charged us $80 fuel/truck fee non-metro. 2. The moving vans on their page are clean, have their name, and don't have missing pieces to the door to prevent items from falling out. See attached picture of the van that came to our home. It looked like it has survived downtown Los Angeles. 3. The movers on this page are wearing uniforms. Our movers showed up in plain street clothes. They didn't announce who they were, they walked in, immediately told us they were not advised by customer service/sales how much stuff we had to move which, brings us to #4. 4. They advised that because they weren't notified how much stuff needed moved they already had another customer's items in their truck! This led to two trips, an extra hour of time, me calling/emailing about 10x, and absolute frustration with the entire process. See attached pic (none of the items in the truck belong to us). This is as soon as they arrived and opened the door pre-loading our belongings. 5. I knew exactly how many boxes we had, the crew volunteered we were very organized, our move from a 3br w/ a garage 2 yrs ago took 2 hours from arrival to unloading finished at this address. When the crew walked in the lead told me no less than 5 hours to move a 2br apartment. He then notified me that he wouldn't be able to wrap any of the furniture or it could take at least 7 hours. It ended up taking exactly 3 hours as I had indicated to customer service, plus an hour for them to drive back and pick up a few items that would have fit if they didn't have the other customer's furniture in the truck. This 3 hours included them finally wrapping the furniture. We had to donate some of our own blankets to the cause as they didn't bring enough blankets. 6. After trying to reach customer service for 3 hours, then negotiating for over an hour, we finally got them to waive charging us for the 2nd trip driving time. However, see #1 where they charged us for fuel even though their promo on Yelp (which is how I booked) says no charge for fuel. 7. Overall the move itself was 10x more stressful than it needed to be. They should send an empty truck as they never notified me that they were sending me a partially filled truck. And, they certainly didn't charge me for only the portion of the truck available to me. If you advertise "no fuel/truck charge" then honor it. When your website shows a professional truck and crew wearing uniforms then offer that...it helps a house of ladies feel safer. And, on moving day answer your phone and solve problems within less than 4 hours as it makes it seem that now that you have my money you no longer care. 8. The lead spent the last 20 minutes of the initial unloading time rearranging the previous customer's belongings and GOAT's equipment. So for 20 minutes we paid for 3 crew and received assistance from 2. 9. Customer service were all very polite...even during the crisis they caused. I will be asking for a refund for the portion of the fuel charge that was billed in error. I'm not even asking for a refund for the portion of the truck we weren't able to utilize since the truck was partially filled with another customer's inventory. And, I didn't ask for a reimbursement of my wasted time and my own vehicle's fuel for a 2nd trip. I will not use this company again. See attached photos to back my claim.

They Called us promptly at 0900 and stated that they were to be here in a few minutes. Communication was amazing! This is our first time working with movers so my fiancé and I were a little nervous. When we met Justin Bell and Gus, they had made the whole experience and transition so nice! I was very impressed of how quickly they had moved all of our items and furniture to the moving truck! They wrapped our furniture very nicely and always had an upbeat attitude( Side note, we live on the second floor) Throughout the whole process, they were chatting with us and laughing and just in good spirits, again I am very impressed. Once we got to our destination, they were quick and swift in retrieving our belongings and bringing them down stairs and was able to place my items where they needed to be. All of our furniture and items arrived with no issues and no complaints. I definitely recommend Justin Bell and Gus! If you guys are ever are needing Movers, really, get these guys! They are so much fun and made this move for us a GREAT experience! They are such hard workers and you can definitely see it in their work ethic and attitude! Thank you guys for an amazing job and the laughs! I appreciate you guys so much! Unfortunately,I was not able to grab a photo as they worked and moved so quickly!

They dumped boxes in the carport when they were clearly marked for the house. They put clearly marked boxes in the wrong rooms. They failed to reassemble a bed after they've taken it apart. They gouged walls as they moved around the house. They damaged the concrete front steps with their dolly. Each day as we unpack we discover more problems. Boxes labeled fragile beneath a heavy box of books. More boxes dumped on the wrong floor of the house. On the day the crew loaded the truck, one of the two locked himself into a bathroom (which still needed to be packed) for a half hour and wouldn't respond when we asked him to finish his business and get out. Moving is stressful enough without having to monitor movers and their every action. You trust they'll do a competent job and only find out they didn't after you pay the final bill and they drive off to the next job.

This time the crew was 45 minutes late because they went to the wrong address during the first part of the move despite me being very clear, repeatedly, where to go. That was very inconvenient and my mom had to wait around in her car outside a storage unit while I kept having to message to ask what was going on and barely got a response. I received the final invoice and paid it immediately with a nice tip anyway. A couple days later I started getting a bunch of emails from the company saying that I hadn't paid. I sent them a screenshot of the $0 invoice balance and the transaction on my credit card. It had the name of the owner and a transaction ID and their ZIP Code. They continued to message me every few days saying we didn't get your payment, you must've sent it to the wrong place, they even sent me another invoice like they expected me to pay again. I kept telling them to check in on their side and that I didn't know what else to do. I provided ample screenshots showing that I paid and they kept blaming me and trying to bill me again. I finally filed a dispute with my credit card company which was painful because I'm disabled and making phone calls hurts me. I didn't know what else to do because this is not a small bill and the company wouldn't stop bothering me. Finally they made a call themselves and immediately sorted it out which they could've done in the first place and then they apologized to me and said yes you did pay right away it was an error on our end. This was a complete waste of time and completely unprofessional. It's not appropriate to harass a customer who paid, who has clear evidence of paying, instead of just doing your due diligence and trying to resolve the issue without making me feel doubted and blamed for days. I can't recommend this company and I'm very angry about the way I was treated. Harassed for something that wasn't my fault at all and that they could've resolved with one quick phone call on their end instead of bothering me when I had just moved and they know I'm disabled. Avoid this company.

Due to life hitting me like a bunch of bricks I wasn't able to be fully packed like I usually am, so I sprung for the full service move and they handled my items and possessions as if they were their own. They packed my old apartment quickly and efficiently, at our new place they dropped boxes in the correct rooms, asked for guidance on some furniture and even set up our beds and labeled certain boxes to be opened first (for things that you'd need quickly, like food in the kitchen, or personal items for the bathrooms). While I hope not to need their service for a while because I'm in love with my new place, if and when we need to move again we will always reach out to them first! The price and service are supreme, and you will NOT be disappointed if you hire them!!

They came out and gave an…read moreestimate based on the amount of men, time and equipment that would be needed to complete the move and we agreed. The day of they showed up on time, worked courteously and diligently. Overall we were impressed with the work the movers performed. For the inital estimate they company insisted that a veteran member of the stuff visit the apartment to assess the job. The proposal offered by management was 4 men for 4 hours at the first location and 3 men for 3 hours at the second. On the day we only had 4 men for 1.25 hours and then 3 men for 11 hours. Our final bill was 26% higher than the estimate. I understand that an estimate is just that, and that it may take longer than you originally thought. However, if there is a drastic difference in what was planned and what was delivered in terms of man hours I think it's fair to ask for some consideration. When I asked management to decrease the bill to something more reasonable (which would still be 16% over the estimate; they refused). In addition they started applying pressure to me and my wife to pay immediately. They called my wife the day they emailed us their bill of loading asking for payment. They then called repeatedly the next day demanding payment, threatening enforcement of their contract and trying to drive up the pressure to get paid as soon as possible. The man had the gall to say that we should give them a good review since they showed up and worked so hard (this was the manager/assessor, he was not working as a mover that day). Again, I understand in this industry it can be difficult to collect on a service that was already delivered, but that was really not necessary here and using these tactics within one business day (we moved Friday, they emailed us the receipt Monday and started the pressure on Tuesday) of a major event seemed unwarranted. Overall would I recommend Olympic Movers? I guess I might with some caveats. Their movers did a fantastic job. However, their billing and sales leave a lot to be desired. If money is not a concern I would recommend them; if it is I'd recommend a larger or more reputable company that will deal with you more fairly. I say this because: - They made an estimate based on their own assessment of the job, changed the agreed upon allocation of men and failed to deliver within their timeframe which ended up costing us more. - They refused to accept responsibility on their end for the higher cost and refused to accept a fair comprimise for failing to meet their estimate. - They employed high pressure tactics to collect their money and solicit a positive review.
