Being somewhat computer illiterate, I researched computer repair on my phone and Compucare had all positive reviews with the vast majority being 5 star. There is good reason for that. Eric checked out my laptop in front of me, ruled out some obvious problems and from his experience and knowledge of the manufacturers pointed out from induced symptoms that the problem was the hard drive. He kept me in the loop with many and timely phone calls as to the progress made acquiring the new bigger and better hard drive, Eric made the choice as to which hard drive be my decision. He spent much time making sure all of my data transferred and updated my software. Performed maintenance and operational sweeps with diagnostics. his operation is completely transparent and he worked to keep my bill low. I am one happy camper and I highly recommend Compucare for their professionalism, technical ability, speed of service and helping attitude.

Compucare Technical Services has astounded me with their lack of professionalism. Amidst lies in…read moretheir reply to my Google review (proven via the text and call logs attached) they have accused me of being "angry" because they couldn't get to my PC fast enough. The only reason I was "angry" is because he spoke to me like I was an idiot, claimed he did nothing wrong, claimed 60 degrees celsius was normal, and generally avoided accountability. He has also failed to communicate properly, saying he'd get back to me and never texting back, then becoming passive aggressive when I checked in. Additionally, he searched for my new CPU on Amazon, rather than using Newegg or any other dedicated parts search, and ordered a CPU that would be completely incompatible with my system AND the motherboard he had ordered. If I hadn't caught the incompatibility, I might still be without my PC. Again, I had no issue with the fact that a mistake occurred. In fact I would have been gracious had accountability been taken. It was his communication over the phone on Sunday that led me to take matters into my own hands. No matter who discovered the issue, Compucare Technical Services was blatantly unprofessional and frankly frustrating to deal with on multiple occasions. Additionally, he tried to offer me $100 cash when I said I would be changing my review this morning. And the agreement referenced in his reply states that I must allow them opportunity to rectify the issue before issuing a *credit card chargeback,* which has not happened. CTS has yet again contacted me, despite me specifically asking him not to, and continued to berate me as a result of my review of my bad experience. Besides general computer maintenance, he's an expert at removing virus and malware, social networking, translating techno-babble into English, smartphones and tablets, Apple products, setting up your home theater, advising smart technology purchases, firewalls and encryption, website building, and even contracting for small business IT support. Phew! That's a lot; isn't it? From his website: "I am not just a computer repair man. I believe a large part of my job involves communication and intra-personal skills. My years of work in the corporate world have given me a highly competitive skill set that allows me to approach most any technical problem with the confidence, but it's my superior personal skills that place me above my competition." Andrew Pulaski, the computer repair wizard. Technology can be like a magic--in the sense that we don't always understand how it works. We live in a highly competitive and, most importantly, specialized world. We shouldn't be expected to know all the ins and outs of the systems fostering our business. People like Andrew Pulaski take care of that for you. "While there are occasions where I do repairs at my home office, I prefer to travel to my clients. I find that by meeting with my clients face to face, I am able to develop a better understanding of their needs. Furthermore, it helps to more quickly establish the trust my clients want in a person who is handling data that is often personal and sensitive." Let Mr. Pulaski come to you. He'll fix the problem. 5 out of 5 stars.

Much like when we go to a mechanics shop, thinking we know all about cars, since we drive them all the time, but are shocked by the $1,500 "inspection" bill. Do have a clue, but not as much as they think they do or they would do their own repairs and mods, and/or know the difficulties and just get on with it. C. You have to know that when the warranty runs out, you're on your own- period. If there is no written warranty, mostly things used, you're on your own when you leave the business. Weeks or months later? Get out your wallet. Remember: YOU may know you are honest(Or may actually be wrong? Amazing as it sounds.), but they have no idea. Meantime, I'm going to Fix My Computer, tomorrow, to see what they might have in the "pro" used line. If nothing there, I'll go to Free Geek Penn, in Ephrata(Where, once I get a couple newer ones, I'll take the old ones and all my saved-up no longer used electronics there for recycle. Visit and see why.) and check out their selection of used used, donated, checked-out or repaired machines and parts. You might find them friendlier(?). FGP does repair, too. Then after I left it with him I didn't hear from him for months. After I then stopped in and requested it back to take somewhere else when I stopped in to pick it up. The device was more broken then when I left it with him. A broken trigger and all of the screws missing from the back plate and the heat sink removed from the cpu. Now I can't take it elsewhere to get it fixed because he basically destroyed it. And then had the audacity to say well I'm not going you any money. I absolutely will tell everyone never to go hear for anything the guy is rude and disrespectful.
