They show you pictures of all the broken stuff on your car and tell you what needs fixing the most and really try to help you get your car working within your budget. When we left Verona 8 years ago, there were only two Costcos in the area. The west side one in Middleton was very close to work, was a frequent stop for rotisserie chicken for quick dinner plans. This location opened in Verona since then, and is just as large (probably bigger). Like other Costcos, it has a relationship with local businesses to sell their wares. In our case, I wanted a case of Spotted Cow cream ale from New Glarus brewery ($31.49 for a 24 bottle pack). You can't get that outside of Wisconsin, so was a (somewhat) necessity to bring back to our relatives in IL. The inside was large and wasn't too crowded, even on a Saturday afternoon (with plenty of parking), so was able to find what we wanted and get in line. There were a lot of workers giving out free samples, and I was convinced to buying crumbled blue cheese chunks (just because it tasted so good on a spinach salad). Those were our two things, finding a line that we got through quickly. We paid with our membership card/Visa Costco card, and we were on our way.

They're very honest and upstanding, which is apparently hard to come by when it comes to servicing cars! The Zimbrick Honda dealership's service center (the one on Grand Canyon Drive) in town told my brother that his car was leaking transmission fluid from the axle seals. They also mentioned that his air intake hose was about to tear, and it needed to be replaced immediately. Both of these were strange findings as his car is not that old and has relatively low mileage. So, he took the car to Goodyear to get another quote and a second look. The dealership quoted him for $840 for the transmission fluid issues, while the folks at Goodyear quoted him for literally HALF THE COST of the dealer. However, they also said they couldn't find a leak. Apparently, his car's seals were totally fine. As for the air intake hose, Goodyear found that it's only slightly worn from weather and time, but it looks fine. The mechanic at Goodyear said they wouldn't recommend my brother to go out of his way to replace it until a light comes on for it on the dashboard of the car. Wow, the dealership completely tried to rip him off! BONUS: They're so honest and standup at this Goodyear that they went one step further to say that they weren't comfortable charging him with anything because no services needed to be done. They didn't even charge my brother for the part they ordered because they will just send it back for him at no cost. How amazing are they, right?! This is how you build a loyal customer base. This is how you get customers to come back time and time again. All it takes is honesty and offering fair prices for good service. Highly recommend this Goodyear location to save money and not risk being ripped off! You'll be treated right here! (Also, do NOT go to Zimbrick for servicing, obviously)

I knew I needed an oil change and they were able to get that done as well. I spoke with one of the owners in depth about their business philosophy of repair instead of replace parts when possible and always taking care of customers. They were super helpful and nice and took the time to explain everything. I will be going to this spot for all my car issues for the rest of my time in Madison.
