All the 5 star reviews are from years ago..... not currently!…read moreHere are only a few of the several items that they messed up! Do NOT go there! Soooo many mistakes and some things ruined! My husband brought his brand new tuxedo in for alterations and they made several mistakes.... one pant leg is longer than the other (see pics), they shortened the sleeves and put the buttons on crooked, there were lumps and bumps at one of the armholes that they altered and said it was "because of the fabric" even though the other one was fine. They altered my sequin pants with the sewing machine instead of by hand and they look awful! Plus the quality of work is terrible (see photos). I had to undo the hem and hand stitch myself.

If I could give Jeff Fishman & his Gold Medal Cleaners 100 stars I would!! I had a house fire &…read morewhile we got out of the house safely, the inside suffered much smoke damage. Within a couple of hours, Jeff came to my house & told me to gather a couple of days worth of clothing for emergency immediate cleaning. My warmest everyday coat was buried under a pile of rubble. It looked like it had been through World War III. Jeff didn't even flinch when I handed it to him. I received our smattering of clothing from him a few days later in exemplary condition. My coat looked better than ever. You'd never have known it had been totally trashed a few days earlier. Our reconstruction company was beginning to come in & pack up our house & Jeff & his crew were there to take all (ALL- yikes) of my clothing, shoes, some of my fiance's things (his closet wasn't affected due to its location) & our stuffed animals. We then had another rush job since we had a burial to attend. Again, all our necessary items were all set & ready to go. All of our clothes, coats, shoes & hats have been cleaned to perfection!! Absolutely no trace of smoke!!! I'm so incredibly grateful. Oh - another huge plus: they recycle the hangers! You can't get any better than Gold Medal Cleaners!!!

I first dropped off a coat last year and had it relined, which was just over $80.00. When I took…read morethe coat home, there were two huge holes in the lining. I wanted to give them a second chance, and dropped off two basic cotton tops, and asked them to hem them by two inches. Nothing special, just straight across. When I paid, the total was $80.00. To hem two cotton tops. I am dumbfounded by that price. I think it's important to pay people for their work, but $40.00 to hem a basic cotton top is unbelievable. It's my fault for not checking the price first, but I had no idea it would be so extremely expensive.

There are some questionable 1 star reviews here for Kenilworth Cleaners…read more One person writes that the clothes smell like "chemicals" and therefore it can't be "organic" or environmentally friendly cleaning. This is poorly informed. All cleaning uses chemicals. The way you clean, is you have to use a lipophilic agent that removes dirt and oils from clothes. There's no magical way around that. The important question is whether castile or plant-based cleaning agents are used. In which case, that is what they use at Kenilworth Cleaners. Either way, I have been getting most of my dry cleaning done at this mom and pop shop for the past 3 years and my clothes have never smelled better, been pressed better, and have been cleaner than any other dry cleaner I've used. As for the second 1 star review that says "the owner was rude because she asked me to call back later because she was already helping a customer"...umm, that sounds like the caller herself needs a 1 star review. In fact, I read through her reviews on her profile and she goes around town giving everyone 1 star reviews, always asking to speak to a manager and finding out they are "rude" as well. There's an old saying about this.... The people who work at Kenilworth are absolutely wonderful. I recommend checking it out for yourself.
