He always seemed sincere and honest but that trust is gone. He neglected to forward my braces and companion video to the manufacturer for three months. The video was actually not sent/received until last month. He blamed a vacation, being under staffed and overworked. He forwarded a note from the repair facility that said there was nothing wrong with the bilateral KAFO Stance Controll Braces. I suppose that it was an attempt at shifting blame back on me. But why did he take the video and send them in for adjustment if he didn't believe that it was needed? He told me that the Office Manager hired a "girl" right off the street because they were so desperate for help. This might explain why all my calls go straight to voicemail. There are a couple other companies in the desert. I recommend you check before you have a similar experience. Good luck!

During my 20+ years of being type one diabetic I learned a few things: Don't ever go to an office that doesn't show you respect. They never will. I've been to offices where I wasn't even treated like a human. You know the whole "You did this because your diabetes isn't in sparkling control." Or whatever other reason they have to be disrespectful. The fact remains, there really isn't much help training diabetics out there. I have a recently diagnosed friend who was released from the hospital with no training whatsoever on carb counting (and they wonder why there is a problem). So often, almost every medical office, we get that disrespecting. That "Oh she's a bad diabetic" Which is utterly humiliating. So during my visits with the orthotist/prosthetist Shaun, I feel respected. Shaun has never made me feel defensive about my condition or my sister's condition. He just wants to help make things better. My sister is developmentally disabled (on top of everything else) and Shaun is great working with her. The orthotics really help. Shoes these days (especially cute flats) don't have a lot of support. I love my orthotics because I can wear pretty much any flat shoe as long as the orthotic fits.

He was extremely thorough and answered all my questions and concerns. Everyone there is friendly and professional, yet easy to talk to. The office is very clean and the whole experience was great! I received my braces in a timely manner exactly when they said I would and I went back to pick it up and they fitted me into it and did some adjustments and sent me on my way. They told me if I had any questions at all or if anything happens with the brace to let them know and they will do their best to fix it. so far I've worn my brace not as much as I should have but the times that I have wanted it has helped a lot! Our son was recently diagnosed scoliosis and honestly we were scared out of our mind. Everything was going so fast . We were referred to this clinic to have our sons brace made and we couldn't be happier. They eased our mind, talked us through every bit of what was going to happen. During the creation period they allowed our son to go through hundreds of colors and patterns to make his brace uniquely him. Once complete, they were able to create a brace that made our sons spine straight in X-rays. Straight. Completely straight. We cried. We know it's a long road but with hanger clinic creating our sons brace throughout we know he will be in good hands.

Jose Ledezma, one of their prosthetists, visited me while I was still recovering in Vibra Rehabilitation Hospital. On the first visit Jose inspected my stump, took measurements for casting and provided me with extra shrinkers and socks. He said he would come back in 2-3 days to cast my first socket. I remember thinking that nobody works that fast but if he returned within a week or two I would be happy. Jose's word is as good as gold because 3 days later he was back in my room making a cast for my first prosthetic. What was even more amazing was I had my new leg later that same day. Jose was friendly, patient, understanding and above all else extremely professional. He answered the dozens of questions I had and explained the process I would be going through expertly and in a way I could understand easily. I'm home now and learning how to walk again using my new leg. There is a steep learning curve and I frequently have questions. Jose has always made himself available to answer those questions and to offer his support and advice. I called the office on Thursday July 29 and asked if they could squeeze me in same day because I felt like I needed an adjustment. They were able to see me and when I told Jose what my concern was he said he saw it immediately and proceeded to fix the (minor) issue in about 5 minutes. As I test walked around his treatment room Jose offered encouragement and some good conversation while making a few more minor "tweaks" to my leg. Jose and his coworkers at CV Ortho have been nothing short of amazing. They have delivered on everything they said they would in the time frame they said they would and that is exceedingly rare these days. Jose and his coworkers have made this challenging time in my life so much easier by helping me to navigate through some serious issues. If someone ever had need of their services I would recommend them 100% and without any reservations whatsoever. Jose and everyone else at CV Ortho has been polite, professional and understanding every time I've dealt with them. This is an exceptionally well run business with people who genuinely care about the health and well being of others. I could not be any happier with their business and particularly with Jose. First, let me say that the people at the front desk are great - very friendly…read more I was referred here ( now called LEGACY PROSTHETICS) by IEHP because my orthopedic specialist ordered a custom CMC (thumb) orthosis. At my first visit, I was given a prefabricated wrist brace instead of the custom CMC orthosis listed in the referral. When I mentioned it, the technician went to check the order and came back saying, 'Oh, you're right,' and asked me to return on a day when their custom specialist was available. I returned for my 2nd visit today. The prescribed custom CMC brace should have rigid reinforcement (usually a metal stay) to immobilize the thumb joint. What I received was not a custom orthosis at all, but a low-temp plastic wrist splint made in front of me in just a few minutes, with flimsy, detachable Velcro straps and no real structure. For a true custom device, the mold is typically sent to an off-site orthotics lab for proper fabrication - that did not happen here. The material is flimsy, the straps can be easily pulled off the plastic base, and the thumb section doesn't support the CMC joint the way a real custom brace should. It feels more like a temporary ER splint, not durable medical equipment. Per my research, it's a temporary wrist splint - not even close to what the Dr. prescribed. I can't wear it on bare skin without irritation - I was told I had to use an old sock with a hole cut in underneath. I pictured like high school football player. To be fair, the technician was polite and tried to be helpful, but the product itself simply didn't match the referral or my medical needs. I hope this helps other patients who come here expecting a true custom orthosis.
