We paid IK Service Appliance Repair an $89 diagnostic/service-call fee for a Frigidaire gas range where two burners would not ignite. The technician recommended replacing both right-side burner/igniter assemblies plus the spark module -- although there was no indication anything was wrong with the spark module. The person present during the visit did not observe meaningful troubleshooting, cleaning, or testing that isolated which component had actually failed. When I later called IK Service for clarification, I was told there was no diagnostic report available and that replacing the spark module along with the igniters was the manufacturer's recommendation. I also followed up directly with the technician, Vova, asking for the basis of the diagnosis and the claimed manufacturer recommendation. He was not able to provide diagnostic test results, a written diagnostic report, or documentation from Frigidaire supporting the recommendation. I then called Frigidaire directly, and they told me they do not automatically recommend replacing the spark module when those burner assemblies are replaced, and that the burner assemblies and spark module are separate components that should be diagnosed separately. They also noted that basic troubleshooting and cleaning should be part of diagnosing this type of issue, neither of which appeared to have been done during the visit. As no meaningful diagnosis was actually done, I requested a refund of the $89 diagnostic fee and contacted IK Service at least four times. I was repeatedly promised callbacks that never happened. My issue is not that I declined the repair. It's that I paid for a diagnostic visit and never received a clear, documented diagnosis supporting the recommended $471 repair -- and management/the owner (Igor Kasadzhik) showed zero interest in resolving the concern afterward. Based on my experience, I would not use IK Service Appliance Repair again.

We used Matt in March 2025 and he came quickly to fix our washer. He replaced the belt and showed us how to. Belts should last 5-7 years. It's broken and shredded again. We tried to get him to come out again and he scheduled for yesterday between 11-1. We gave him the model number so he had the parts days in advance. We asked the day of if it's possible to come closer to 12. He said no and that he could come the next day. During the next day we called to confirm the time and he said he didn't know if he could come and that he doesn't know which parts so maybe next week. After seeing he doesn't have a verified license, I'm glad he's not coming back.
