The ambiance was fantastic. We had a reservation for 4 at 8pm and because it was so crowded had to just wait an extra 10 minutes. Our waiter, Charlie offered a free app because of the wait. He offered great insight at to the menu and was extremely attentive. Avocado bomb was delicious and would strongly recommend it. Ask for Charlie for great service! read more

Just came for lunch after Easter mass with my family, we were seated immediately and our server Jose got us our drinks in a very timely manner. My NY Strip was delicious and cooked to perfection! My sister said that she just ate the best Caesar salad of her entire life. My parent's steaks both came out a little under cooked, but the manager came and checked on us and was able to get them brought up to temperature. Because of this they did offer us dessert on the house, the Key Lime Pie and Crème Brûlée were absolutely fantastic! In addition to the great service and food, the atmosphere of the restaurant was very comfortable. It was nice and quiet and the design was very modern. A big thanks to our waiter Jose and the very kind manager for making our lunch a very special one! We will be back! read more

Finally got to try J.Alexanders and it did not disappoint! The service from Billy was some of the best we've received - he truly made our anniversary celebration special! First and foremost I want to say thank you to Mike for accommodating our large party in advance. Our server was Michael was awesome, attentive and very knowledgeable. The reason as to why I am writing this review was due to the quality of a few steaks we had ordered. Three of us had ordered the steak mauis with a medium rare temperature and unfortunately when we received the steaks two of them were over cooked, and in addition were also dry without a good sear. Now normally I would send it back but it had already taken awhile to get the food and the kitchen was starting to shut down and I had to eat as it was already late. Again this is nothing on the services fault but maybe something to tweak for the future as my crew loves J Alexander's and frequents the locations in plantation and Ft. Lauderdale, however paying high price a steak and it not delivering on the usual quality especially on a birthday event was a bit of a let down. Nonetheless, everything else was from the attentiveness of the wait staff to the restaurants ambiance was great. read more

The ambience was very nice. The service was very good but there was a few hiccups . We were two couples.. one lady ordered a Pinot Grigio and they brought her a Pinot Noir and said that's what you ordered. We said we are sorry but no, she ordered a Pinot Grigio. They nicely took it away and brought the correct drink. I ordered a crispy chicken salad and they brought me a crispy chicken sandwich. The server offered to take it back but since everyone had their food, I said no I'll eat the chicken sandwich. And a manager apologized and offered to comp the chicken sandwich. We said thank you very much. Overall, the food was very good.. We paid the bill and on the way home. I was reviewing the bill and noticed they charged us for the Pinot Noir. We weren't charged for the chicken sandwich so I guess it kind of balanced out. read more

Restaurant is stuffy. if you have more than 3 beers they will judge you and the staff is absolutely horrible. food is better at publix grocery across the street. read more

I've been to this restaurant now 3 times and to be honest will never be back. Well possibly at the bar for cocktails. Overall the food is horrible. Just really, really bad. They couldn't even get a steak right which I say because they had to try cooking a filet 3 times and it just didn't come out right. Even the manager was frustrated. The broccoli was raw and had raw garlic on top that was suppose to be cheese and the manager insisted upon until I made it clear it was indeed raw garlic. Tried to get a pork that they swore up and down was an incredible dish. Well......, not so much. The texture of this meat was the oddest thing I've ever seen for meat. It took over 2 hours of my time and left without eating dinner. They did send me home with wet chicken piccata meal as a parting gift lol. They did however apologize and they did comp the meal. And inherently they should have which was nice and the right thing to do. We tried it again this evening to a halibut fish meal with couscous and broccoli. The broccoli was the star on the plate. They again were more than accommodating and apologetic and offered us a free meal to take home. I opted out but my buddy took advantage and took home some prime rib. I'm done here. So just a word to the wise. Maybe they should be focusing on the food were they are a RESTAURANT! But will give a big shoutout the bartenders that have been amazing. read more

Hugely disappointed. 4 of us all ordered different meals --- all 4 were mushy and tasteless. We waited 45 minutes for our table - were told that we were next in line - only to see a foursome walk in and get immediately seated. I asked the hostess "We have been waiting for 45 minutes, told that we were next, only to see someone who just arrived get seated. Why?" Her response - "we ran out of silverware so couldn't seat you." I guess the other foursome must have brought their own?? Besides the long wait, bad food, unhelpful hostess --- the ambience was not cozy -- super bright lights and very noisy. This is by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in Naples. read more

WAY TOO LOUD!!! I have been to other J Alexander's and the ambience is nothing like this. between the noise and the manic activity of the staff, it isn't a comfortable atmosphere. I used to have many business lunches and dinners at an J Alexander's up north and we could hear. please add some noise absorbing panels, slow down your staff's movement because the food is good. read more

My husband and I went to the bar on Friday evening and the place was bustling and smelled amazing. I had ordered the chips and queso just to snack on as we just came from eating elsewhere. After two chips in I noticed a very long black hair across my chips and lost my appetite. The good news was the bartender handles it properly and was very apologetic and brought me out new chips and queso but I was a bit turned off. I will definitely give them another chance as their menu looked amazing! read more

We were looking forward to having dinner here, as we had heard many great things about the chain. We waited until they were open for a few months, giving them time to get fine tuned. The restaurant has a great look, and a beautiful bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the volume level during a busy dinner hour makes it almost impossible to have a conversation. Some acoustics need to be fine tuned. Possibly lunchtime might have been a better choice. Service was very slow for a weeknight. The other 3 people in my party enjoyed their meals, but I had what was probably the toughest pork chop of my life. These things can happen, I know. Mentioned it to the server, there was no offer to replace it with something else, and by this point I was so hungry I finished it. So, not a great experience, but would consider trying the restaurant another time before making a final judgement. read more

Sad to leave this review because I love their food and their service is usually good but today it was unbelievably bad. I called this morning to ask if they had reservations for tonight, they rudely said no and had an attitude.. okay it is Valentine's Day, they're probably getting a ton of calls. I get it. Called again to see if they were still taking walk in's or if they were pretty much only going to have space for reservations tonight.. again she was extremely rude and acted like I was an idiot for even asking. Responding with a rude tone saying things like "uh I guess" and "obviously". Finally it's dinner time and I decide we'll just pick up the food, I went to their website and tried to order to avoid calling and annoying them further and it said they didn't take online pickup order at the Naples location... okay so I called and I get the same rude little brat on the phone saying they don't take pick up orders over the phone either. Which first of all is insane, so I said "okay so I have to drive all the way there and order multiple steak dinners to go and wait 30-40 minutes when I could've called ahead to save me time and you guys space in the waiting area" and she just said "YUP". Shocking a place this nice would hire such rude trash as hostesses. read more

let me just start out by saying everything was immaculate! from the food to the atmosphere and ambiance, and service was A1. my server was very tentative and helpful. explained each dish that i was uncertain about to a tea. I ended up getting the prime rib and I don't think I can eat any other prime rib other than J Alexander's! was really tender and juicy. Alongside I also got the spinach con queso, superb dish, savory and rich! Now I'm not a fan of cocktails but I ended up giving one a try, and the sparkling paloma hit the spot to wash everything down. On top of all the excellencies, the wonderful manager, zack, checked on my table and he has all the bells and whistles to bringing the best service and hospitality to one restaurant. Zack is for the people as I seen him not just check on one table but every table and seen helping the bar and run food. He can do It all! We just celebrated our Anniversary tonight at J Alexander's, first timers! The food was outstanding. We loved every course we had which was 4. Drinks were excellent & served perfectly. But most of all the service was top notch from the minute we entered the front door. We had reservations and were seated immediately but in the middle of the front dining room near the kitchen. Since it was our anniversary we asked for a table that was in a corner and more remote. The hostess made this happen and was happy to assist us in creating a memorable evening. Shortly after moving to our new table Justin introduced himself as our server. Wow! what a great asset he is to J Alexanders, he was friendly, helpful with the selections on the menu. We wanted to take our time to enjoy our meal and our night of celebration. Justin never rushed us and we enjoy small talk with him. He made us feel very welcomed and relaxed for our special evening. We will be back and will share with others. Justin is an amazing server and a great asset to the restaurant. if you go ask for Justin. But I do have to say the entire staff we encountered was very friendly and customer service driven. Thank you For helping make our anniversary wonderful. read more

We ate there Sunday night (today is Wednesday). The first thing we noticed was how loud the place was. We were ushered to the back, to a nice booth that accommodated all 6 of us; it was slightly less noisy there. But the sun came in through the open drape, hitting one of us in the eyes and the wait staff couldn't do anything about it, even when asked. So, that was not pleasant. The food was OK, nothing special. Two people had trout, one a French Dip and one a cheeseburger. One had a Caesar salad and one had simply a baked potato. The baked potato was covered in salt, which was hard to remove, since the grains were so small. The French fries that came with the 2 sandwiches were very skinny but plentiful - neither person came close to finishing them. The wait staff was pleasant and otherwise helpful. Given the rather high price for the dinner, I expected it would have come with bread for the table but it did not. I don't think we'll be back - we prefer a quieter place where we could talk without having to talk loudly. read more
