My family and I had a very unpleasant experience with this business and in particular with the Office Manager Claire DelTufo. We hired them to fix a leaky pipe in my brother's home that we are trying to sell. After the first time around that the two men showed up to "fix" the pipe, my dad took a look at it later on and noticed it was still leaking so he called and asked them to come back - turns out another part was needed because the worker broke that part when trying to work on the pipe so my dad bought it and gave it to them to "finish" the job (we'll see if they decide to charge us for the part my dad bought with his own money based on the conversation I had with Claire which I'll get into momentarily.) We then find out that the pipe is still leaking because an assessor came in and mentioned it. So my dad fixed it as soon as possible as it was clear that Del Tufo Plumbing & Heating is unreliable. I then gave a call to the office and the first woman I spoke to was very pleasant but she said that Claire would have to give us a call back to get more information from us. A couple of minutes later, Claire called us and had an attitude straight off the back. When we explained what happened, she was like "Well what do you want? Money off the bill?". I of course said that would be nice since they didn't actually fix the pipe but she then refused that request in a very loud and aggressive tone. I then said ok to the denial of requesting money off the bill but then asked if she could provide feedback to the men that did the job since they did not actually fix the pipe and I do not want this problem to happen to someone else. She proceeded to scream at me about how she trusts her workers and doesn't understand why she should give them that type of feedback and that we should expect a bill soon. I would not recommend this company to anyone, especially if you need to deal with Claire as she is incredibly mean, rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional.

I did a Google search for "BEST Electricians in RI" and decided to go with Chevalier Electric not only because of the solid five star reviews but also because I appreciated how I was treated with compassion, patience and professionalism right from the start while speaking with Rafaelina Chevalier. Moises Chavalier (the owner) and his team, Edison, Max and Marcus arrived first thing in the morning and started working right away so that by 4:30pm they were finished. They upgraded the panel and also added more electrical outlets and fixed some light switches. I was very impressed at their teamwork and comraderie, because it made things go smoothly. Had PM service done on A/C. My girlfriend was told the capacitor was dead and refrigerant, R410a…read morewas no longer approved by the EPA. Tech Alex claimed they aren't able to replace the refrigerant anymore. Said the unit was too old to be serviced and that the blower in the attic was corroded and needed to be replaced. Performed none of the required maintenance and gave her a quote for a new unit. $18,000. Keep in mind I do maintenance for a living, so I know a few basic things. I got home and looked up the refrigerant and it says you can still use R410a refrigerant, but new units can't be made using it. Lie #1 I opened the unit and did some voltage measurements to find no voltage coming in to the contactor. I checked the breaker. Was fine. Opened the Disconnect box and noticed the red service handle was set to OFF. I pulled it out, flipped it to ON and sure enough, the unit began working as if nothing happened. If the capacitor was bad, it wouldn't have come on. Lie #2 I opened the case on the condenser to find it had not been cleaned at all. I cleaned it. Vacuumed all the leaves and sprayed the coils off with a garden hose. I've heard this company has changed owners recently. Obviously, they don't have the customer's best interests in mind. I am pissed.

At no point did Louie and his partner, Elijah, cut corners or rush to finish.
