My family and I had a very unpleasant experience with this business and in particular with the Office Manager Claire DelTufo. We hired them to fix a leaky pipe in my brother's home that we are trying to sell. After the first time around that the two men showed up to "fix" the pipe, my dad took a look at it later on and noticed it was still leaking so he called and asked them to come back - turns out another part was needed because the worker broke that part when trying to work on the pipe so my dad bought it and gave it to them to "finish" the job (we'll see if they decide to charge us for the part my dad bought with his own money based on the conversation I had with Claire which I'll get into momentarily.) We then find out that the pipe is still leaking because an assessor came in and mentioned it. So my dad fixed it as soon as possible as it was clear that Del Tufo Plumbing & Heating is unreliable. I then gave a call to the office and the first woman I spoke to was very pleasant but she said that Claire would have to give us a call back to get more information from us. A couple of minutes later, Claire called us and had an attitude straight off the back. When we explained what happened, she was like "Well what do you want? Money off the bill?". I of course said that would be nice since they didn't actually fix the pipe but she then refused that request in a very loud and aggressive tone. I then said ok to the denial of requesting money off the bill but then asked if she could provide feedback to the men that did the job since they did not actually fix the pipe and I do not want this problem to happen to someone else. She proceeded to scream at me about how she trusts her workers and doesn't understand why she should give them that type of feedback and that we should expect a bill soon. I would not recommend this company to anyone, especially if you need to deal with Claire as she is incredibly mean, rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional.

They replaced my side lights in the kitchen, put in two outlets in my bedroom. They added a switch in the kitchen for one of the side lights. I did a Google search for "BEST Electricians in RI" and decided to go with Chevalier Electric not only because of the solid five star reviews but also because I appreciated how I was treated with compassion, patience and professionalism right from the start while speaking with Rafaelina Chevalier. Moises Chavalier (the owner) and his team, Edison, Max and Marcus arrived first thing in the morning and started working right away so that by 4:30pm they were finished. They upgraded the panel and also added more electrical outlets and fixed some light switches. I was very impressed at their teamwork and comraderie, because it made things go smoothly. Almost all the representatives that contacted us noted that a failed compressor was the problem Another problem was that our unit was located beneath the roof in a third-floor attic. We decided to go with Continental Engineering, the same company that installed our unit 24 years ago. While each of the representatives was knowledgeable and courteous, it was Richard DiRocco from Continental Engineering that impressed us the most. Not only did he give us a reasonable estimate, but he also described how that unit on the third floor could be accessed and removed. Our min contact was Pam in the main office who made all the arrangements. When the day for the new units arrived, Roger and two assistants installed the new units. They were amazing. Before they removed the original unit, they put cloth over the stairs and other areas where they would be working. Everyone we dealt with at Continental was informative, helpful, and very professional. We look forward to many more years of comfort with our new unit.

He was down to earth, empathetic and explained what the job would entail. He sent one of his guys, Cody, out to do the assessment. He was extremely professional. When they came in to do the work, they arrived on time, worked all day and did a great job. I'm so pleased with the work done. Everything they've done has looked professional and clean. Their pricing was reasonable as well, which is always a plus. We left msg with that dude several times, & he didn't even have the courtesy to return the call & say sorry, too busy! Anyway, Romano was one of 3 who returned our call. Chris wasnt able to come by the same day but said he would call us the next day. The other 2 electricans left us with a "I'll call you next week if I have the time to come by" vibe. Translates to; let me see how my cash flow is going, & If I need money, I'll go by. Not Chris! He called us back within 30 min of our original call. Apologized he couldn't make it that day, but would be here the next day by a certain time. AND HE WAS! Dressed neatly, worked neatly & kept the mess (dust etc) to the minimum. Cleaned his work area as he went along, realizing he was in a kitchen & sawdust didn't mix well with food. Worked quickly. The following day we realized another switch wasnt working. We called him back. He was a bit confused a moment bc he hadn't touched that circuit, but was determined to solve the mystery. Our house was built in 1850. Layer of ceilings covered old wires from several decades ago. He was able to trace the wiring & power without cutting a large hole in my ceiling. Just 2 small squares. He was able to find the short in the wiring & patched the ceiling quite well too. Chris will be my first call in the future.

For that reason, we hired them to come in and install dimmers on the inside lighting. Simple job, good work, and we paid them immediately; no issues. In 2015 we had more electrician work and tried to hire them again. Called repeatedly, left messages and spoke to the office and was told multiple times owner Jerry would call back. He never did. I even went so far as stopping in their office one day and to my face Jerry wrote down my number in his appointment book and promised he would call me. 4 months later; he still never has. Too bad Jerry can't be honest and simply say the job is too small or too far from Warwick to South Kingstown or whatever the real reason is. Business must be good for these guys that they don't need/want work. So unless you are a developer or looking for a sub for a large job, don't waste your time with these guys. Look for someone who is honest and really needs and wants the work.
