I have come here for over a year now & decided I no longer will give Ivy Nails my business. I began to notice how rude they are when doing my nails. It wasn't just one mail tech but several & on several occasions, male & female, who made criticizing comments during my mani & pedi. Several times the nail tech (Mary) pointed out how dry my hands are, I tried to explain to her each time that I suffer from psoriasis of the hands & that's why; but each appointment she'd bring it up; so I stopped going to her. The last time I was there the nail tech struggled to do a simple flower design then when I said it didn't look right had the audacity to call me picky when I'm paying over $100 for their services! Then 2 days later my gel polish peeled off smh. If I could give them lower than a 1 star I would. I will be going to Cali Nails next since they have 5 stars. If I could give 0 stars, that would be too many. Went there for a pedi last Friday. I took these pictures on Saturday morning. I've been going there for over a year and this is the worst pedi I've ever had! Two of my toes were cut from the file. I asked her (not sure of her name) to round and smooth the edges and she just kept cutting them. I went in today to talk to the manager. She asked me who it was. I told her it was "the blond lady". She didn't know who I was talking about. How many of those are there?? She asked me what i wanted and I told her that I thought my next pedi should be complimentary. I told her "I paid $35 for that. Would you be happy with that?" She didn't answer me. She said they would remove the dead skin next time and that was it. My two toes that were cut hurt. This place is dirty and unprofessional. there was food just sitting around. when I sat down to get my nails done, the guy was flossing his teeth and then grabbed my hands. I was grossed out from the beginning. Then I said I want dip nails and he grabbed acrylic and I told him again I wanted dip. He just shook his head and applied the acrylic even after I pointed to the wall of dip powder AGAIN. he wasn't listening so I gave up. the worst part, he didn't properly prep my nail he just took the Dremel to it and cut my skin instead of pushing and cutting the cuticles properly. I had three fingers bleeding and one large cut on my pinky that he stuck his DIRTY NAIL into and applied pressure. I told him I need to go wash my hands and he told me I can't and applied a TOOL CLEANSER to my cut. it burned so bad so I finally got up and washed my hands. it kept bleeding so I kept it under water and then applied pressure with a clean towe. when I got back to the chair my finger was still bleeding so I kept pressure on it and he just grabbed my hand and dumped the tool cleaner on it again. I told him that hurt and I'll just keep pressure on it and he told me no. I should have left but I felt weird and uncomfortable. he "finished" my nails and they were uneven, I had glue under and on my nails, dry blood and my skin was roughed up from him not properly caring for my skin. I will never be back. I talked to the owner and they won't do anything about it. read more

This was my first time at this location and I can tell you that it will be my last. I have never had an experience where I was so frustrated with expressing the type of nails that I wanted to the gentleman doing my nails. They were poorly done and he kept hitting my hand out of the way when I was trying to show him what I wanted. I was so grateful for the woman next to me who had to jump into the conversation and help. The hot towel for my pedicure burned me extremely bad. When I told her it was burning me, she rolled her eyes and left it there while putting the second towel to my other foot. I said it was too hot not once, but twice. My legs flinched, due to the towels being EXTREMELY hot, and the towels fell off. Then, she apologized. I had been to this location a couple of times and had very good experiences, but not today. I went for a full set of nails with french tips. The guy put tips on smaller and narrower than my nails. When I told him I didn't like the way it looked he got a little stand-offish. The "boss" came over and started talking to him in a foreign language and between the two of them they decided only 3nails needed fixed. I agreed and said I wanted someone else to fix them. So then the guy starts cutting off all the fake tips he put on and angrily cut my left pointer nail way too short and made me bleed! I just got up and walked out. NEVER AGAIN! Nothing fancy but they did a good job. I got a pedicure and my niece got a manicure. As of today, my pedicure still looks good. My niece chose this place because they were one of few open the day after Christmas and they had the lowest price for a full set of nails. We wanted a together experience and I didn't realize there wasn't a way for us to do that since the spa pedicures are in the back and the manicure stations are up front. You can get special foot scrubs for an additional cost but I didn't. They will offer you soft drinks or water, too. My niece was very pleased with her nails. They were beautiful. She said the guy asked her before he came up with a "design" but she didn't understand him. In the end, it didn't matter because she loved her accent nails. When we went, there was a winter giveaway. Spend $35, get a very nice bottle of massage lotion! I believe the pedicure was $25 and the full set was $35. read more

I got an acrylic full set two days ago and not only was the lady who did my nails in a rush, but she also began using the wrong color to paint them after acrylic powder application. Additionally, my nails were white when I first got them done and over the past two days the top coat has reacted and formed these streaks and marks and the color had yellowed. Very bad quality. All the nails are also varied shapes and lengths. I paid 45 dollars for this. Very disappointed. read more

I was humiliated by the owner of ivy nails yesterday. This is what happened. The Mrs boss splashed water on my face, twice!!! She didn't say anything n pretended nothing happened. Even worse, Mrs boss rudely interrupted my conversation with my nail technician during nail process. N asked my technician to charge me extra for the design. My technician said she knew but Mrs boss just wouldn't leave her alone. Obviously Mrs. boss has an attitude and like to bother her customer. At the end, Mrs. boss had to stared at me finishing everything up n paid her. It was so ridiculous. The way she treated customer like a thief absolutely unacceptable! In my opinion, Mrs boss was very rude and unprofessional. She dressed a pajama kind of skirt, without makeup, the way she stared at me made me really uncomfortable n sick. I won't go back! Absolutely not! She charged me $115 for my mani&pedi, Which i can go anywhere else be treated fairly nice! In my case, Mrs.Boss of Ivy nails either a racist or a bad attitude or both. I accidentally just spent 70$ on a pedicure because I pointed to a color in the color book and no one told me it was gel. It's whatever but I won't make that mistake again. Buyer beware. They gave me chemical burns doing a pedicure. When I told girl it burned, she sprayed alchohol on my feet- kid you not. Burns are healed but scars on tops of my feet now. When I told manager they offered me another free pedicure, not to retrain staff or pay medical bills. They're lucky I'm not the type to sue. read more

My friend and I both got INFECTIONS from pedicures we got there. Extremely painful and they clearly do not sanitize their tools. I have been there twice and the first time was for my wedding and my friend got the infection, they were trying to get rid of an ingrown toe nail and cut her which then led to an infection. I went again about a week ago with my daughter and they were doing the same with an ingrown toe nail and I now have an infection. Getting TWO infections on TWO different people, months apart and at the same place is very alarming. This is extremely painful and would NEVER recommend this place to anyone! Stay away! read more

I ran to bed bath and beyond sat and sat and sat when I got back. They had forgotten about my appointment even though it was in the book and they told me to take a seat when I got back. Then a woman rushed over to me and began sanding down my nails for acrillics. I was not getting acrillics. She rushed to paint my nails with shellac and didn't even cover the whole nail. The lady that did mine cut me and proceeded to take an old dirty towel to wipe the blood off and put my foot back in the gross water. I always like going there for pedicures & are great for walk-ins. They have recently remodeled and added some more pedicure chairs. The shop is nice and clean. The owner Max, is always there and is very accommodating. A woman named Shirley does my nails but I have to call ahead to make sure I can be scheduled with her. I had many people recommended this place to me, but I will not be going back. When I walked in everything went smoothly, I was greeted and told it would be about a 15 minute wait. I waited about 10. Once I sat down the lady started doing my nails, she was cutting off my cuticles and managed to cut three of my fingers by the cuticle and they bled for at least five minutes. I have gotten my nails done many times at other salons and never had this issue. I should have left right then. She shaped the nails on one hand and then before she started the next I was switched to a different person with no explanation. The shape of my nails were different on each hand and after about a week the pink color started to turn brown! Terrible experience, I will not be back. read more

I've always been pleased with the outcome of my nails but this last time I had them done, my nails were cut shorter than I had asked and they gave me the wrong color. I went one time...They are so RUDE! and I don't know why They are NOT Good at all. nails are thick, nails are not the same shape or length, and they are rude. I got a fill, a nail broke a week later, while I was waiting to get the one nail fixed I noticed a nail was not the same shape as the others. When I sat to get the nail fixed, I asked Kathy if she could file that other nail to match the others. She said "next time tell the nail tech you want them square". Uh they're suppose to be coffin shaped but apparently your nail techs need to be better trained at what a coffin shaped nail is. One nail out of 10 was rounded. So many better nail salons out there. listen to the reviews and avoid this place. I came in under the assumption that there wouldn't be a wait because they seated me at a nail tech chair right away, I was wrong. I ended up waiting for about 30 minutes. The guy who did my nails was rude telling me if I didn't soak my nails in the acetone he wouldn't be able to do anything for me-even though I had been soaking them in acetone for 20 minutes and only stopped because I didn't want my nails to get brittle. If that wasn't annoying enough, I was asked to pay for my service before he even started on my nails. I have never been asked to pay before I've been serviced. Lastly, they used a cheap generic base and top coat. Please just save your money and go to a different salon in the area. read more
