My long search for a nail salon is finally over! Everything is very well-kept and clean. Their sanitary practices of nail tools are the best I've seen so far. I hear Julie is the best, but she is often very busy due a large request load. I got Tina, she is also very good. Tina takes her time and makes sure your nails are as perfect as possible. Definitely a perfectionist. She's quiet, so if you're looking for conversation, don't be offended if she doesn't talk much. I personally don't like to talk with my nail person since I want them to concentrate on my stuff lol, but that's just me. I will always make a request for Tina now. Only negative thing is the smell is pretty strong in there. read more

I really do enjoy coming here! Julie takes her time and I always get what I expect! Awesome place to go read more

Julie and Tim do a great job . Nice people. I drive 25 mins to get a pedicure. Very through.

amazing quality every time and great pricing. I will forever go here in Kenosha and so does my family! I wanted blue on 3 fingers a pink with zig zag print and she did just that love them! read more

Located right next the Piggly Wiggly, I've been looking for somewhere to get my nails done in my neighborhood. Opened in early February by former employees of Fancy Nails have spared no expense in this new place! Very well ventilated with a super deluxe system and fancy new chairs that keep your back well massaged and the water well heated. It actually has a heater built into the baths! Two TVs for those in the Mani area AND Pedi area. Pedi was great! They scraped away the tragedy that was my winter feet. Toes feeling Summer Ready! 3 pedi chairs, 5 mani tables read more

Overpriced. Left nails looking awful. Never fixed an issue I addressed multiple times. Crooked nails that were barley attended to. Streaky polish job. Late both times appts were scheduled. First time was 45 minutes with no apology or even a discount. Nice people but for being in the business for so long, work should be better than what I got. Never have I paid so much for a set in my life and been SO unhappy. Over 15 years of getting my nails done and this is top 3 of awful product. I came home and filed them myself to make look semi decent. 65 for a full set is beyond outrageous. Awful. Awful. Awful. read more

Poor color selection unless you want dark, fall colors. The tech who did my nails didn't clean them well and I kept having to point out polish she left in the nail. Application of the coats was sloppy and two nails had no polish for about 1/8 inch on one side. I pointed it out twice and she said she'd fix it, but just dabbed some polish at the end which left a ridge and very uneven color. I could do that for myself at home. She had a "it's good enough" attitude, and that's all you get. Perhaps it's just a bad technician, but I won't be back. read more

This is a very impressive little place! I took my daughter there for a walk in on her birthday and our two male nail technicians were so nice and did a great job! We felt very luxurious thanks to the spa pedicure treatments and the nice chairs. The facility is clean and the prices were reasonable, we loved it and will be back read more

I made an appointment for 330, arrived at 325, signed in. No one greeted me, I sat down to wait. Fifteen minutes later one of the ladies yelled from the back to ask what I needed. I stated I have a 330 appointment. Seventeen minutes later I'm told to pick a color and come back. A white couple walked in and the technician furthest from the door, literally at the back of the shop greets them!! WTH?!? The tub is filled with water but something is floating in it so I asked if it was cleaned after the last customer, she said yes. I asked if she had put something in the water, she said no. As you can see, there's clearly something in the water. She was working on a customer and didn't stop to look. So I'm sitting here, refusing to put my feet in this water and wanting to see how they are going to handle this. 24 minutes after my scheduled appointment she looks in the water and sees that it's dirty. I told her I watched the previous customer get up and the technician did not clean the tub. He was working near by, looked over and said he did. She said it's still dirty, and went back to finish her customer. Now she's back to clean the bowl. I'm going to stay and see if the pedicure makes up for the rest of the bad service! I sure hope so! read more

Love this place!! I started coming since she moved from another salon and opened her own. Julie is great and her staff is always kind and do an awesome job. I just discovered they have free WI-FI!! Hey, who doesn't love that. read more

I have been going to this salon for years and have always been satisfied with the service. The nail technicians are nice and helpful and they have even repaired my chipped or cracked nails when they broke. I only go to this nail salon when I am in town. read more

Don't waste your time or money! They don't know how to do SNS (dipping powder) properly. They messed up and had to start over, and still had the nerve to charge me full price. They also never apologized for the screw-up. And even after starting over, it was still wrong, so I gave up and will go somewhere else to fix it. There are better salons that will charge the same price, give you a much better experience, and know how to do nails well. I was in a pinch and tried this place because most other places were booked. I now know why this place wasn't. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else! read more

I decided to come here with my daughter for pedi's based on reviews. We were greeted fine, but my pedicure was just ok. There were 2 other nail techs and all 3 pulled out a tray of tools. Any nail salons I've been to, have their tools in a package that they open up in front of customer. However, I did later (while waiting for nails to dry) see my tech wash the tools at the sink and then pit tray in device thing with a light (don't know what they are called). The water was luke warm in the tub. She didn't ask me if I just wanted my nails filed or cut. My nails were already short and she just started cutting. I have a sore nail that hurts with pressure, which I pointed out. She put pressure on each time when doing her massages, taking polish off, etc. She didn't have a pink nail buffer to buff the nails after filing (none of them did). The massage was with some oil (looked like olive oil) that was then wiped off with a towel. Never had lotion put on. Any salon I have been to, puts lotion on. She also dropped the calous scrapper in the water with my feet. Wasn't comfortable having that resting on my foot. The massage was quick with little effort. There was no spray that you usually have to aid in drying quicker. Needless to say, I will not be back. I have lived in various states, so I've experienced many nail salons. This salon was one of the lesser ones as far as what my experience was like. I will say my pedi was the basic one and only $25, which is the cheapest I've had. So, I guess the experience matches the cost. read more

I'm getting married this weekend and me n my daughter thought wed try Julies Nails because of the good reviews n deals. Now im just stressed out even more because my pedicure looks like a 6year old polished them..my cuticle are ripped and both me n my daughter got cut:-( only one person I could explain myself to because the others didn't speak English, also it really takes alot for me to be unhappy and today was it.. The owner was not there and I heard she does a great job. Too bad she was away, but overall not a relaxing experience at all. The massage was super short n felt rushed.. That's suppose to be the best part, No? Learning experience I guess. Can't recommend this place at all. Sorry I even tried :-\ read more

I moved to the area recently and needed a new nail salon. Found a place but was way too expensive. Was searching and found here. Not going anywhere else now. Coming back for sure. I love it here they are meticulous on their work. Nice and engaging in conversation when you are with them and always willing to help you figure out what you want if you don't know what you want. I love it here. So nice! Close to home to do it makes it another plus. Decent/average prices for a nail salon read more

Had appointment for 930a. Arrived at 920a. Doors locked. Sign said hours for today 9a. Saw people arrive at 945a. Went in extremely RUDE lady did not even greet me asked what do you want. I explained I had an appointment at 930a and was here at 920a. No apology for opening late no acknowledgement at all. I left if that is the way treat a NEW customer forget it. Will spend my money somewhere else. Good luck keeping your business with that type of customer service. read more

I definitely after much consideration will not go back to this place again. They create prices for people instead of using a pricing board the way every other salon does. I was charged $45.00 for a no chip pedicure and that is way too much. The husband did my pedicure and he was very rough. Lifting my legs almost completely up to do my heels during the pedicure. Not very relaxing and it was embarrassing. I found a wonderful nail shop in North Chicago, Illinois. It is about a 25 minute drive from my house in Pleasant Prairie. But it is worth it. The mom (owner of the shop) is extremely sweet. She does the best nails of the bunch although they all do a great job. I feel very welcome there and everyone says hello when you walk in no matter who you are. If you are ever in the North Chicago or Waukegan Illinois area check them out. They did not even charge me to fix a broken nail one time (no chip). Unlike Julies nail salon that over charges for everything. Again I won't go back to Julies. Sorry. Today was the first time i've ever been to this establishment. I was very impressed. The pedicure chairs were absolutely heaven and Tatiana, my nail tech was very kind and obviously a hard worker. She did not half ass and i didnt feel rushed through the pedicure and manicure. She also painted and manicured my fingers and toes so well i thought they should be in a magazine! Tatiana will definitely receive my business again. Julie, the owner is great as well. She waxed my eyebrows and they are the best they have ever looked, ever. She was also friendly and welcoming. The prices are very reasonable especially for the job they do. I HIGHLY recommend going there. read more

Was told to come in at 330pm. Came at 315pm and sat there for over an hour waiting. First off they painted my daughters fingers, and the next day it bubbled and popped off. For me, it was the worst pedi I ever experienced. My feet had skin hanging off from them using the cheese grater thing and then I was told after the fact, the card machine turns off and stops working after 4pm on Sundays. So I was expected to go next door to the grocery store to buy something to pull money out. What if I didn't have my debit card with me? They should have a sign or say something before the pedi if there card machine doesn't work. I will never step foot in this place again. Total waste of money. read more

I have no clue why there are so many positive reviews??? Very old, dirty equipment. Nail polish brushes have all seen better days. The nail tech added so much water to the cuticle softener, it was like just poring water over my cuticles, that he barely clipped anyways. I have more polish on my cuticles than on my nails. Since they had already charged me for a chin, lip and eyebrow wax, before I had a chance to see what my finished nails would look like, I had no choice but get it done too. Again a terrible job, I will have to get it redone. I would NEVER recommend this place to anybody, very dissapointed. read more

Our visit the day before Thanksgiving was at first wonderful. They took me and my daughter as a last minute walk in. Very nice. The girl who did our nails was pleasant and though she didn't file my nails very well or give a good hand massage, I didn't mind. I was thankful they took us as a walk in. The next day as we were sitting down at dinner my daughter showed me that all her polish had already come off almost all her fingers Mine had chipped in places but I chalked it up to prepping the meal and was willing to write it off. However I did decide to take my daughter back to have hers fixed as the manicure should last more than a day. The owners were both there and not exactly friendly about fixing her manicure. They said "a regular manicure is not guaranteed for more than a couple days." I reminded them we came in just 2 days before. Finally they said come in tomorrow so the other girl could fix it. When we returned on Sunday the girl was tried to argue with us and told us a regular manicure is not guaranteed more than a week. Again I pointed out to her that we just had them done and could not return on Thanksgiving or until Sunday as we had company. The owners told her they ok'd the fix. My daughter decided to go with a plain color as the glitter polish may have been the issue. The girl did her nails and after said we had to pay $7 as it was a polish change. I said all the nails had chipped and they all needed to be fixed so it was not a color change but poor work or bad nail polish. I also pointed out mine had chipped but I didn't push that. In the end I told her to take her charge out of the generous tip I left her the other day. I also said I would not return and I would inform all my friends. BAD experience and I don't recommend going here!! read more

Amazing customer service, clean work stations, and best of all no funky "salon" smell. Julie did my nails and I couldn't have been more pleased. She took her time and really did an AMAZING job on my nails. She kept the conversation light and airy with no gossip or negativity. I can't say enough good things about this place. read more

I've been getting my nails done for the past 20 years and I recently move down here to Kenosha, trying to look for a reasonable priced nail spa and still no luck! I went to Julie's Nails and Spa thinking this will be it. I walked out last week with an awful color that they thought it was nice, my full set nails were shaped horribly (not what I had asked for) at first they tried saying that all the nails shape are the same . After all it was said and done and I showed the lady what I wanted in her own nail salon? She continued her day by saying "oh yeah, I didn't notice the Nails that you wanted were the shape that we offer? Really? I went back the next day cause they let their customer(me) walked out of their establishment that way and told them I didn't like it and they needed to fix my nails. They semi fixed it and I went with a darker color. Walked out of there once again with thick nails and the nail polish all smeared. Last time I ever go there! If you only need a no chip mani and pedi the only worth person to get your nails done by is Nana. Ask for her! read more

I went in for a mani/pedi. Ended up getting the sea salt pedi. I don't know her name but she was a younger girl that provided the services. She was super slow and watching the TV often. It took almost 2 hours for my mani/pedi. It took her foreeeeever to paint my nails. And the polish ended up very thick and unprofessional. I ran out of there 10 minutes after she was finished because I needed to make it to an appointment and ended up messing up the polish on 3 nails. I never thought a mani/pedi would take 2 hours ever. Maybe 2 hours with drying time, but the 2 hours didn't include drying time. Only plus was that my toes had almost an hour to dry due to her slowness. read more

One word - horrible. I went in February 13th (saturday) to. Get a gel fake nails. I spent almost 50 dollars, she did not tell me that getting a tiny flower painted on one finger would be an extra 3 dollars. She didn't listen to what I asked for or said my price range was. I sent home semi disappointed to begin with. She also quizzed me on really personal matters, asking me what was wrong with me because I'm 20 and single...asked me if I had depression and if that was why. Among other things. Finally, I went to work where I filled out paper work all day Saturday afternoon and sunday, and when I woke up Monday my finger tips were bruising. There were huge air pockets under EVERY nail. I called and they said my nails were too oily and I said that I've never had this issue before, and they were like we'll we will redo them. No if they aren't working out after 4 days I don't want to keep coming back to you to have them redone every few days to get my money's worth out of them. So I said no I want a refund and they said sure sure come in and we can do it. I went in they all started yelling at me that they don't do refunds, (which isn't posted anywhere in their store.) She was able to take them off, but not by soaking my fingers in acetone, like you normally experience when getting them removed. She used an old tip that was bent and broken to SLIDE the nails off. Which was incredibly painful. She didn't apologize for the damages to my real nails, or the bruising. She didn't apologize that they didn't work, infant she said she could redo them...by a.) Re gluing the old nails back onto my fingers or b) by charging me another 50 to re do them. Which was not gong to happen. Needless to say, I'm pissed and for sure never going back or recommending them. read more

I would never go to this nail salon again and would definitely not recommend! Had a pedicure. Customer service is terrible, and the place is definitely not a a nail salon to come to for foot massage or pampering of the feet. Made an appointment and still had to wait 30 minutes. Pedicure only lasted 15 minutes. This place is not clean by my standards and needs an update. This place is a big step down from Utopia! All beware, and take your money to Utopia for top notch service! Only reason I went was because I had an old $35 gift certificate for mother's day that they would not honor, and still had to pay $25. What a waste!!! I'm sure this place has their regulars who don't mind this kind of establishment, but me, I want better! read more

Went here for a pedi for the first time today after reading reviews on here. My tech's name was Nidia, and she was wonderful! She took her time and did a great job. She paid attention to what I did and didn't want and was very accommodating. I also brought my granddaughter and her tech gave her a pedi and mani. I don't know her name but she was wonderful and patient with my granddaughter. I will definitely return! read more

I took my mom here wen visiting for mani/pedi. Never in my life have I seen someone rush through a pedicure the way the owner did. All chairs sat down within minutes of each other & the other ladies hadn't even gotten to the massage portion & my mom was completely done. A complete pedi in under 25 minutes... Really??? No leg massage whatsoever. Then she just left her to do a mani on someone else & left her sitting. BTW, this is AFTER scheduling an appt. with her (based on reviews). Wen I had an opportunity to see her toes, (I had been getting a mani), there was pink nail polish smudged on skin around toes that hadn't even been cleaned up not to mention polish on the toe cuticles. No wonder it only took 25 minutes! The lady who my Mom had been pawned off on (owner had moved on to multiple new customers) said she would fix it but her pedi shouldn't have looked like that in the first place. I will say, Tina was the only bright spot of this experience. Extremely disappointed & rest assured, will NEVER go back. read more
