I'm furious. I had to cancel my pedicure due to a family emergency. I called before my appointment, spoke to the receptionist, and she rescheduled me for another time. Later, I get a text saying I was a "no show" and would be charged a $22 fee. When I attempted to dispute it, I was told that no matter the circumstances, that I would still be charged. So apparently, compassion and customer loyalty mean nothing here. I've been a dedicated client since day one, but this is the thanks I get? I even asked her to look up and tell me how long ive been coming to this 2nd location (im not even counting the 1st location the years ive gone there). In 5 years at this new location i have only cancelled 1x in 2021 and 1x in Feb of this year... but they have a zero care or compassion. The manager April is rude. Saying someone was a "no-show" to an appointment means they were scheduled to attend but did not show up and didn't notify the business or provider ahead of time to cancel or reschedule. I've gone for pedicures here twice. The salon is clean and organized. The pedicure room has nice dim lighting for relaxation. Prices are on par with other places. There is a cash discount. I've deducted a few stars because the foot massage and polish work aren't the best. I had a gel pedicure and the previous polish wasn't fully removed so dark blue specks shoe under the pale pink. One toe the polish was not applied smoothly, so it feels bumpy to the touch. read more

Then today 5mins late and they stated tried to call to see if I was still coming. However, they dialed an incirrect number and said they had a policy and the Tech left. I love this business, I've gone a few times now to this specific location, and every experience has been good. They offer hand sanitizer at the entrance before you walk in, and there is some at the front desk as well. That have enough space in the pedicure room and in the nail room so you aren't close to anyone. Social distancing is followed here and they are very clean during your service. I usually just get a pedicure when I go and I've gotten a manicure once. I forget that just getting regular polish on your nails doesn't last long at all! Let me tell you about the pedicures tho, nice relaxing atmosphere with a low lit room. The only lights on are the fireplace Inserts they have in the room, and of course the light of your feel so that can see. Massage chairs are big and comfy while getting services completed. Mmm, the hot wax massage with the warm rocks and the lights turned off are so nice. Overall best pedicure I've ever had and I have enjoy my experience every time. They do offer a cash discount but I always for get to get cash before. They do have an ATM in the lobby for you to use. I have been a customer for years and the staff is like family to me especially Jimmy and Angie. They are all very professional and knowledgeable. I am very particular with mani/pedis and haven't found another place like utopia. As soon as you walk in you are greeted and informed. They have so many types and colors to choose from. Angie helps me pick out what looks good and what's in. She is the first one that has never caused me pain for my pedis she is awesome! Utopia always goes over and above to accommodate any appointments changes. The location in Kenosha I go to is close to Woodman's so it's nice to pickup groceries and even dinner on the way home. I also like the discount for paying in Also if you pay cash it's discounted plus they have an ATM in the salon. I definately recommend! read more

Very very inconsistent. Went in with my SO which got us for a post red-eye flight reflexology pedi. This our second attempt to validate Utopia Nails II bears out a huge degree of variability in their process, practices and internal quality expectations. Karen did a great job on the massage portion while Dan clearly either clearly missed training day only has knows one trick... up and down repeat. My SO had a poor experience with his efforts. Clearly they not trained in reflexology so they just call it a foot and leg message. Their process and cleanliness leaves one with more questions and doubts over assurance that things are clean and safe to be honest. Tools and stones are just in a box - clean? Sanitized ? Sterilized? Single use items? Towels are beat and thin and stuff gets wet with water and oil all over. Impossible to be sure but the issue is where there is smoke there is usually fire in my book. It's all way to causal and unprofessional feeling to inspire confidence. Also the seats and furniture are beat up so badly that again it feels like the little effort or focus is really given on quality. It's like watching some one with cats have their cats walk and eat on their kitchen surfaces... no, I'll pass on your cookies with the cat hair thanks. It's a great bargain but I'd have to see more dedication to best practices along with some pride in the repair of the furniture and space to recommend it in anything other a pinch! read more

Ohmigosh... Most heavenly experience I've ever had. The Pedi room is a "quiet room", fireplaces behind each seat, soft relaxing music playing In the background. I decided to get a 15 minute Foot Reflexology massage as well as a Mani-Pedi. It was amazing. Thank you Utopia II and Michela for the journey away from reality! This was my This was my first time at this particular Utopia location. It was generally a clean environment, with a well organized polish selection and very friendly staff members. While my pedicure turned out well, my manicure did not. For a gel mani this should have lasted me at least a week, ideally two. It's been 4 days and the polish started chipping yesterday. My impression was that the tech was inexperienced (she had to redo 3 nails entirely - after 2 coats of polish; two of those are now chipped). Other notes were dust/dirt inside the UV lamps, my cuticle was snipped and started bleeding, and no moisture/lotion after a hot towel, leaving my skin incredibly dry. In the future I would rather pay $45 and get what I paid for or pay the extra $20 for a quality service. This ended up being a waste of $70. read more

I realize that I asked if my pedicure could be fit in 45 min slot... the receptionist agreed, the technician understood... but instead of getting of a full pedicure I got my toenails cleaned and repainted... very quickly ... and it was indeed done in 20 min. The remainder of 20 minutes the technician has offered massage which was nice..: but I didn't realize until the very end that she has forgone bottom of the soles almost altogether... I have a picture I took as I put on socks... and when I asked why, she said that she was trying make time and that she clean the bottoms sufficiently by pumice stone... Got my nails done Sunday 6/13 and the second the tech applied the first coat it was separating and not bonding to my nail. She did 4 coats total. They all started chipping the next day. I attempted to call, email, and message with no luck that entire week. I called Friday. They got me in Sunday 6/20. Gave me slack for not wanting to use the same nail polish per their policy but it was clear the polish was bad. Same thing. Polish was not bonding to my nails and the tech applied 3 coats. 6/21 started chipping and know they are coming off WHOLE! Im so over the beauty industry and its clear they don't care about the products they use on people who spend big money there. What a waste of 2 days and $120 read more
