Don't waste your time or $$ going to this place. A friend of mine took me here, as she wanted to treat me for a XMas present. She requested that I get an experienced manicurist for my gel nail application. When we arrived, they stuck me with a "newby"! A woman in the shop would came over several times to supervise his work. I guess I was his guinea pig! He said about 3 words to me the whole time he was working on my nails. I don't know if he spoke English, as he only signalled me with his hands as to what he wanted me to do. I chose a color of polish from the samples, when he started to put it on; it came out "nothing" like the sample. He put it on the first nail, and I told him to stop, because I didn't like the color. He didn't talk to me but just kept pointing to the little box the polish came in. I didn't know what that meant??? There was another bottle of polish in the box, so I asked him if the bottle he was currently using was put on first then the 2nd bottle in the box is applied to get the color I picked out. All he did was mumble and quickly put his head down and continued to apply the color I didn't like. I believe he didn't understand what I had asked him, UGH!!! This was the first time getting my nails done, so I didn't understand the process. I'm thinking he'll use the 2nd bottle to put the actual color on that I chose. NOPE, he just kept putting the ugly color on. As I left this business, I told my friend I hated the color. We went back in, and I was able to choose a different color from the bottles on the shelf. Since then (few weeks) 2 of the nails have popped off; I had to reglue them. I was extremely disappointed with the service. I didn't get the person I was suppose to get, I got someone who had to be supervised, who didn't speak or understand English, who did a lousy job, and my friend had to pay full price for this pathetic service. How can this type of business have someone working with customers who cannot communicate with the customer?????? How is the customer suppose to get what they want????? If they want a "newby" to work on a customer, they should ask the customer if that is OK with them, and then provide the "newby" service at a much reduced charge. Why should the customer suffer? DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!! read more

I only get manicures and iv never been disappointed each person who has done my nails seems to get better if thatd possible lol I give 4 1/2 start the remaining 1/2 is because they are small so they are usually short staffed closed Sundays and Mondays and hours are short other then that my favorite place everyone is nice, sweet and pleasant I also love they always got kids movies playing I watched Maleficent the other day one of my favs. It could use a facelift in there and a little more dusting but I'm sure in time they will dazzle it up but that's not a complaint I love the place read more

I could paint better at home. I got a manicure. The Revlon color I chose from their collection was very thin and required 3 coats. Lilly made a mess of it and didn't finish by removing the polish from my fingers. Also, the restroom wasn't clean. Aside from these things, it was a very pleasant experience. The technicians were very friendly. They spoke to everyone who came in as though they were old friends. They "yelled" across the shop making jokes with the customers like we were all at a family dinner for 20. They rarely spoke to each other in another language and they speak very good English. I peeked into the pedicure room and it looks divine. It's dimly lit with brown hues and looks like a real spa. Overall, very friendly. Manicure costs $16. You may have to tell your technician how to do it well but you could have a really good experience with a different person. I know more than 1 regular who thinks they're the best in town. They get very busy even during the day. You may walk in but I recommend an appointment. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I came here Friday to get my nails done for my wedding that was on Saturday. I read mostly good reviews so I thought they'd turn out good. I was so wrong! All I had done was a manicure with a gel French manicure... No accrylic or anything. The woman filed my nails down so much and none of them had the same curve nor were they evenly curved. Then she was freehanding the white for my tips which would've been fine if she actually knew how to do it. It was jagged, bubbled and so uneven. I honestly believe a 3 year old could've done better. When I looked at them I was horrified! I told her I was sorry but they looked really bad. She goes which ones... i just asked her to look at them and tell me what you think. She played dumb and was like they look fine. So I pointed out every single finger and what was wrong with it. So she proceeded to take out the white again and add on to the already crap job trying to even out the lines telling me she was already taking a loss on my nails! They looked slightly better but the white tips were so uneven I asked if maybe a colored line under would help... Nope, It looks like my 5 year old niece did my nails. After spending 3 hours and $44 there I was beyond done. I will never return and will tell people about the horrible job she did! read more

Went in for a French tip shellac manicure, and my nails cracked two days later. I am one month away from delivering a baby so I don't use my hands now as much as I used to but Ace continued to say I hit them and that if I made food or did dishes they would crack which is absurd. He continued to blame me and said I was too picky and lying. I think that when you're providing a service like this it should be what the consumer wants. If you speak up here about how you want your nails then they will say that you are too picky. Horrible service when It came to resolving issues. read more

I don't get my nails done very often at all but I've been to several salons in Racine and have never been really impressed with the results. I thought I'd try Nail Luv since I saw a few good reviews and it's close to home. It's a ticky-tacky little place, not a bit of thought put into the way it looks inside; (and it's in a dying strip mall) it's clean enough, but really needs a lot of spiffing up. I went there for the first time two weeks ago to get my nails done, french manicure shellac/gel and a pedicure. Gail did my nails and it is the BEST and most long-lasting manicure I've ever had. My experience was very nice (even though the place is NOTHING to look at!) I WILL GO BACK for such a decent price and a great mani-pedi. Try this place! read more

This is the best nail place in town, hands down! I've been going here for quite a few years after the place I used to go moved to Kenosha & it was very too far to go. I tried several other places before finding this gem. They were disasters. One of the places (across the street in a very large, long, bldg w/ many different peddlers selling their wares - {wink, wink} ) was so bad that a nail broke off right after I left there. I hadn't even started my car yet, just remote unlocked the door. I didn't give them a 2nd shot to screw up. I went right across the street. Been going there ever since. They have great prices, great service, and friendly staff. I, personally, see Ace, but they're all equally talented. He was the one who fixed me up the night I got this rotten junky nails so I stuck with him. Whether you have (or want) acrylic nails, gel nails, or your natural nails need a manicure, you won't be disappointed! And make sure you have one of their FABULOUS pedicures in one of approx. 6 massage chairs & you personalize the settings just for you! You can even add heat! While enjoying your back massage, your feet enjoy a spectacular whirlpool bath that feels so divine, you may almost feel a guilty tingle. I didn't, but some people who haven't yet experienced much 'me' or 'mommy' time might yet may. And, FTR, I did say *almost*. I would NEVER recommend anything that would interfere with receiving the maximum benefit from this heavenly pleasure, esp guilt or any other form of negative energy! I've been here several times. They do a great job! Their prices are reasonable & I prefer their pedicure because they will get all the dead skin off. They also give you a decent calf and foot massage. The also have movies playing if you care to watch. Their salon isn't as new as some. I'd give a 4 1/2 if I could. They could improve their selection of nail polish and make sure that whoever smokes in the back keeps it out of the building. Also, they've replaced all pedicure chairs. I don't recommend this place to anybody! 1st of all one of the techs went to smoke at the back door with the door open and smoke blew into the pedi room almost choking me!! 2nd: I had a mani/pedi that was just awful and very unprofessional looking. Tech did not do a thorough job with Pedi - my feet still look like they did before the pedi. Mani paint job looked as if it was homemade. Wish I would've spent the few extra dollars and went to a professional Spa!! read more
