This small restaurant in Robertsdale is sure to please anyone who enjoys a small atmosphere and amazing food. This gem is located just off the busy Hwy. 59 but you would't know. Small and tight quarters add to the fantastic atmosphere. Wait staff along with the hostess were all phenomenal. As far as the food goes, well, it was just flat out wonderful. I enjoyed a Filet oscar style which turned out to be one of the best cooked pieces of meat I have ever enjoyed. The wine list, although limited, is very diverse and well rounded with quality choices. The only downside is due to the small atmosphere is the amount of noise that can accumulate due to al larger party. Overall, great place to eat and we will definitely be joining again. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great meal and a romantic/quant atmosphere. read more

The service was great, everything else was lacking. I had the grilled chicken breast which was two grilled chicken breasts over fettuccine alfredo. The chicken tasted raw even though it was cooked. My husband had a steak, that was heavily seasoned with a strong sauce. His comment was he couldn't even taste the steak for the seasoning and sauce. This was my first time at Ivey's and it was a pleasant experience. . A simple meal was well prepared...A steak with baked potato and salad. The salad was fresh though minimum in the serving size and was not served with a roll or bread, just pieces of fried bread pieces. Guess I am just accustomed to getting bread with my salad. The steak was cooked to order and was garnished nicely. The price was as expected for a good place to eat...not to high. The meal came with bread pudding which was excellent. My only real complaint was carpet on the floor. I feel that this is not the place for carpeting. Italian tile or a wood floor would probably be a better choice. For me, carpet always looks dated and worn in a dining experience. I will probably try it again. If not for the carpet I would given a 5 star review. read more

Had dinner their with 2 other couples. We all had different entries and none of us were disappointed. My orange glazed salmon was cooked to perfection as was my wife's duck. Others ordered shrimp, chicken and steak and everyone was happy. The atmosphere here is really nice and even with a party of 6 we were all able to hear each other. This place is not loud as you find in some places. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and helpful with the selections. She visited our table several times to make sure everything was going ok. Priced a bit on the high side but the quality of the meal and service supports their pricing. Only draw back is they have a very limited selection of wines and alcoholic beverages. We will definately go back read more

This is one of my favorite places. I have ordered shrimp and grits at many places. This is leaps and bounds over any and all that I have ever eaten. The whiskey ribeye is delightful. March 3, 2016 the Fort Morgan Supper Club feasted at Ivey's Fine Dining in Robertsdale, Alabama. The table for 12 was ready when we arrived. We were served perfectly by Cherie. She was delightful. The wine list and bar choices was abundant and reasonably priced. No one got appetizers. Entrees ran the full range from Angus steaks, grouper specialties, eggplant and pasta dishes, to duck. All were reasonably priced from $18 to $29, and included dinner salads, and appropriate accompaniments. The portions were generous, the quality excellent, and the presentation worthy of a photo. There are private dining rooms for small groups such as ours, as well as two main dining rooms. We sampled Carmel topped cheesecake, chocolate gonache, carrot cake, and the best hot New Orleans bread pudding ever. We all agreed that Ivey's deserves many repeat visits. read more

This is by far my favorite restaurant hands down. Everything served has a taste of high quality and cooked very precisely. To the people complaining about the silverware, it wouldn't matter if they served their food on a paper plate and with a plastic fork. It is still some of the best food you will ever consume your entire life. If you're wanting to have heaven in your mouth, go to Ivey's. The chef Danny is fabulous. I had the stuffed filet and it was cooked perfectly. The sauce was outstanding. Our waitress Amy was great. She was there when we needed her and absent when we didn't. It was perfect. The only reason I gave this place a four instead of a five is the baked potato was served with little itty bitty prepackaged butter, and some sour cream. No goodies, cheese, onion, bacon etc. the entrees were fantastic and so was the dessert menu. read more

Delicious seafood crepes. Similar to an étouffée sauce featuring shrimp, crawfish and crab tucked inside two delicate crepes. The portion size was so generous I took half home. The service was good and it had a nice atmosphere including linen table cloths. Only downside was the side dish of white rice which was a little unimaginative but a actually complimented the rich main dish with its plainness. Could have been improved by green onions or sesame seeds. Price was very surprising at just $18 including salad. I'll be looking for an excuse to return. read more

Had lunch this afternoon. What a find. Linen tablecloths and napkins. Lunches come with fresh crisp lettuce. I had the Crawfish fettuccine which was outstanding. My husband had the grouper almandine-minor criticism is too many almonds. Got carrot cake and chocolate ganache cake to take home. Made in house and are wonderful. This is a lovely place. We hosted a rehearsal dinner here prior to my son's wedding. We are from Louisiana and had never eaten here before. Being accustomed to the good Cajun food in Louisiana, I must say I thought I was at a restaurant down in the French Quarter. The food was excellent. The service was outstanding and the bread pudding is "to die for". They were very easy and accommodating with the arrangements. Will definitely have to visit often and come to Iveys. read more

A very disappointing birthday meal on Saturday 11/26/2016. My wife's steak (Bourbon Ribeye) was the poorest cut of meat we have ever gotten at a restaurant. Full of gristle. I had the Asparagus veal, which was tasty but a very poor value. Probably no more than 2 ounces of veal, wrapped around 6 spears of asparagus, and served on a massive (and inexpensive!) bed of fettuccini. Worse yet, we received bread slices and no butter - unlike the two tables adjoining us, who got butter without asking. SO: indifferent service, poor value, no recognition of stated birthday - we will not be back., read more

We were in Robertsdale last week and stopped in at Ivey's for a late lunch. It was great! I had the Pan Seared Salmon which was a nicely seared piece of Salmon served over a bed of Julianne zuchini and carrots in a butter/cream sauce. My wife had the special, Pecan Crusted Chicken served with a large serving of sauteed green beans. A salad and a side of rice came with both dishes. We ordered Bread Pudding to go for later and it was very good. The total even with tax and tip was just $30. There was only one other party there when we were there, but it was really late for lunch--after 3 PM. This place could make it in New Orleans. Very unexpected treasure in sleepy Robertsdale, AL. You just don't anticipate a white tablecloth place in the middle of this little town -- especially at lunch. With a combination of Northern Italian, French and Cajun food on its menu, it was difficult for me to select an entree. But a local at the next table recommended seafood crepes. They were fantastic. (Portions are very large here, by the way.) Stuffed with shrimp, scallops and crabmeat, they were topped with a delicately spicy pink seafood sauce and accompanied by white rice (which helped sop up the sauce) and a simple cold, crisp green salad. Also unexpectedly, the wine list was interesting. I had a glass of pinot grigio to complement the seafood entree. A comfortable but elegant ambiance. I hear reservations are recommended for dinner on Friday and Saturday. Prices very moderate. read more
