    Stuffed crab mushrooms
    Julie C.

The service was good. I can't say enough about that. We go here all the time as we are locals. And we love it here. I hate to leave a bad review but they did nothing. We decided to get a different appetizer as my husband wasn't that hungry and wanted the unlimited salad bar with an appetizer and so we picked the mushrooms. Well, they were hot on top but cold everywhere else. I had to spit mine out. I told the server and he said sorry. So I said well, I guess we will just take them home and warm them up then!!? Cause they were too cold to eat! And he said ok well I'll bring you something to take them home in. He did! Well, I left a note on the receipt that the mushrooms were terrible at the end also. And yes, I left a full tip. But those mushrooms I don't know why they were cold but don't order them. I love Wolf Bay just get something else!!

My group of 9 Grannies Gone Wild ate dinner here. It was AWESOME and Shannon was our server. He was the best! We all highly recommend this great place. And they have an awesome gift shop too!

First time here for the Thanksgiving buffet. They knocked my socks off!!! I saw people saying to go here on social media, so I tried it, and I'm SO glad I did. It was a gaggle trying to get in the door-that's how many people know about this place. I would only change this for a busy time-allow people to text to get in line. People were all over the place waiting and the food was located as such as half the patrons had to walk through the gaggle to get to their seat. It was just me so I chose the open seating at the bar. My Lions were playing so I was in my glory-good food and football!! Just like when I was with my family over the years-a Detroit tradition! The food was OUTSTANDING!!!! Everything was seasoned to perfection and the turkey was moist!!! The dressing was prob my fav along with the candied sweet potatoes. I would have preferred a more traditional baked Mac n cheese, but they did a good substitution. Gravy and homemade mashed potatoes were good too! I don't eat beef or pork, so I cannot speak to the greens, black eyed peas or prime rib. The salad bar was fully stocked so I had some salad too, to get some veggies in, with my carb feast I missed the traditional peach cobbler and banana pudding but the strawberry parfait and the chocolate whatever were amazing. The service was outstanding too. Well done!!‍ can't wait to try the regular menu!!

We were seated quickly each time. 1st night for just two, second time later in the week we had 10. The wait staff were very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. We visit each time we come to the Foley and Gulf Shores area. Food is excellent. Love the little gift shop! My husband loves the salad bar. Every dish I've had and my friends have had has been wonderful. I have pictures of our last two visits: shrimp and grits, fried flounder, stuffed flounder.

Had a great early dinner here. Medium crowd on hand early. It was HH so I got a $3 whisky sour which was just ok. I ordered the AYCE mullet for $18 and added a $4 salad bar trip. My wife ordered fried shrimp and grilled fish with a salad bar side. The food came out on time after the salads and was piping hot. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed it. Mine came with cheese grits and beans and she got a loaded baked potato. Our server, David, was right on top of things and very friendly as well. Our total with nice tip was $78 and we will return again to try more of the menu. Nice job WB.

He rattled off a bunch of options, but none of them sounded right. I found this place on Yelp, saw the reviews, and decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did. The menu is stripped down to the essentials: three burgers and three side options. Fries, onion rings, or frings. That's it. No giant menu trying to be everything to everyone. Just a team that has clearly decided to focus on doing a few things exceptionally well. The burger was outstanding. The smash patties had an incredible sear. The pickles were sliced paper thin. The lettuce was chopped instead of being a giant leaf hanging out of the bun. The sauce had a familiar Big Mac-style vibe but was clearly their own thing. Every ingredient was there for a reason. What really impressed me was the attention to detail. The temperature contrast between the hot burger and the cool toppings was perfect. The texture and layering of flavors were exactly what they should be. Somebody has spent a lot of time thinking about every component of this burger. The onion rings were hot and crispy. The fries were crispy, salty, and exactly what you want them to be. Nothing felt like an afterthought. The atmosphere fits the food. Simple, confident, and authentic. The staff had their own vibe, the place had personality, and nobody seemed interested in following trends for the sake of trends. They just make great burgers. I've already decided I'm coming back to work my way through the other two burgers on the menu. That's probably the highest compliment I can give a restaurant. If you appreciate craftsmanship and people who have truly studied their craft, this place is worth a visit.

On a recent boys day out I took a few of my Buds to check out this new addition for Arizona BBQ,…read moreyeah you read right, Arizona. Colt Grill BBQ & Spirits just opened in downtown Foley, AL, and I was curious to see how their smoked meats and Western vibe would fit in with our Southern scene. This place is a big deal for Foley, it's set up in the historic Foley Bakery building, a 100-year-old landmark that's been closed since 2007. The building, at the corner of North Alston Street and West Laurel Avenue, got a major facelift over the past year, and now it's home to this BBQ joint downstairs, with apartments and an office upstairs. Colt Grill started in Arizona, with four locations there, Prescott, Prescott Valley, Cottonwood, and Village of Oak Creek. Foley's their first venture outside Arizona, and they picked it because they loved the South's charm and Foley's small-town feel. Walking in, the place feels cozy yet upscale for a BBQ spot. The exposed brick walls and custom furniture, sourced from the owner's family of furniture builders, give it a warm, authentic vibe. Brenda Marie Clouston, the owner, has a background in interior design, and it shows. The setup is pretty unique for the area: you order at the counter, but there's a full-service bar where bartenders bring your food if you sit there. My buds and I grabbed a table, but the bar looked tempting with its lineup of bourbons and signature cocktails like the Foley Bushwacker and Colt Margarita but only one pal took advantage of the spirits. And they have happy hour :-) The menu's got all the BBQ classics, but it's not just ribs and brisket. They smoke nearly everything pork, chicken, turkey, even their mac-n-cheese over oak hardwoods. I went for the sampler platter to try a bit of everything that included baby back ribs with campfire sauce, pulled pork with Kansas City sauce, brisket, smoked turkey, and a turkey brat sausage. The meats were tender and packed with smoky flavor, and the variety of sauces let me mix it up. Classic sliced white bread was served with mine but we tried the jalapeño cornbread, which was a standout, spicy but not overwhelming. The guys got a brisket plate and a pulled pork sandwich. They liked it but I thought the brisket could have been a little moist and tender. Overall the food was good and I will return. Service was friendly, though it got a bit hectic during the lunch rush. The staff was hustling, and you could tell they're still finding their rhythm since opening in early this yesr. I liked that they give back to the community every "Cowboy Cookie" sold donates a portion to Secret Meals for Hungry Kids, a local charity. The atmosphere was lively and the Western decor made it feel like a little piece of Arizona in Alabama. Bottom line: Colt Grill's a great addition to Foley. It's not just another BBQ joint, it's got heart, history, and some seriously good food. My buds and I are already planning our next visit. If you're in the area, check it out and come hungry! I have a few faves like the cheesy mushrooms and the BBQ shrimp, and nowadaya you can't just look at the regular menu. You have to check out their daily specials board because they are constantly knocking it out of the park with creative new dishes and fresh catches. The atmosphere is just even more welcoming, but the outdoor seating is much improved with some sand and stage, perfect for enjoying the coastal breeze.
