Superior Crab is a seafood restaurant with a bit of a Mexican flair which makes sense as it is right next to Vallarta Mexican Restaurant. I'm not sure if the same people own both places but they do share a sign together and are both in the same building. I had read a menu online that apparently was no longer accurate which had indicated the burgers came with 2 sides which that is no longer the case so I got charged for my two extra sides. So I got a cheeseburger that came with their special sauce I didn't care for (I never seem to care for "special" sauces) and for the sides )I thought that came with the burger) I got a cup of seafood gumbo and mixed vegetables. I also did get a free bread pudding which was nice of them to do. The seafood gumbo was actually decent which is often NOT the case once you get outside of Louisiana although it certainly didn't quite taste like a Louisiana gumbo but it was full of shrimp. My mixed veggies were alright and a good sized portion. The burger had a smaller patty of meat and larger bun the that meat bun ratio was lacking. The flavor of the burger was on the more overcooked side to my taste and I wasn't asked how I wanted my burger cooked. My order also came with hush puppies which were actually quite nice and they had a bit of corn inside them. The fries were the biggest disappointment as they were lacking any nice crisp crunchy exterior so they could use some changes with how they are cooking those. Overall it was a mixed experience with some good and some less good. Service was friendly and took good care of me. Obviously sticking more to the seafood is probably a better idea here so I will have to make a return visit to see how one of the seafood options is. I do like to sample the burger in places that offer them though as that gives me greater insight into how the skills are in the kitchen.

This place is brand new and worth a look see. I had mahi and shrimp. There was plenty of food and it was good if a little pricey. The waiter was attentive and the food came out quickly. The decor is really nice, we were all remarking about it. I was surprised this place was here and it wasn't very full for a Friday night, so I'm hoping this review gets them some more business.

Nice and convenient location to get seafood. I ordered garlic mojo shrimp. Shrimps are cooked just right!

Out for family dinner with daughter and son-in-law. Superior Crab had just opened a few months and decided to try it. The restaurant was new, clean, bright and nicely decorated. The Diablo Shrimp was very hot. Enough to have a red face. Perfect. The fried shrimp had medium batter and tasted delicious. The coconut shrimp was excellent. The rib-eye was perfect. The French fries were slim with a crisp outside and soft potato on the inside with a Cajun type seasoning. Those could be eaten by themselves as a meal. The service. Well Francisco (sp) was great. He was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without hovering. The price was $17- $30/ plate. We decided we will be returning. It was very good.

-waitress was very nice & helpful. -food was excellent. Tasted really great! -not overcrowded or noisy.

The service was horrible. When we entered the building we stood at the front desk for at least 5 minutes before we were even acknowledged. Once we were finally seated, it took another 6 minutes for someone to take our drink orders. This was NOT due to the restaurant being busy. We could see the employees were laughing and joking in the back. The menus were wet and sticky. We had to ask for another one. It was sticky as well. We finally ordered appetizers and seafood. Our seafood made it out 1st, we had to remind her that we had ordered appetizers. The food was OK. The only thing that was fresh was the stuffed jalapeños and they were actually pretty good. We ordered 2 HOT and one extra hot, it was not spicy at all. They both tasted exactly the same. The margaritas were ok. They were definitely cheap tequila. They were $20. We had to ask for drink refills twice before we received them. They were never offered. Overall the food was just ok. It was definitely a family friendly atmosphere. The tables and menus definitely need some cleaning. And as you see on the sign with the daily specials....tips are only included on "some" tabs. It was included on ours. $35 on a $200 tab for horrible service.

It's a fun bonus that makes the experience feel a bit more unique. We came in with a group of 16, and they were able to accommodate us in a separate space across from the main area, which worked out really well. If you're planning a visit with a large group, I'd definitely recommend calling ahead. Major shoutout to our server--she handled splitting the check six ways like a pro. Everything came out correctly and fairly close together, which is no small feat with a group our size. I ordered the mahi sandwich, and it was delicious. The bun was perfectly buttered, and the fish itself was flavorful and well-prepared. They also offer a salad bar if you're looking for something lighter. Prices are on the higher side, but that's pretty standard for seafood. Some dishes were served whole--bone-in and all--which caught a few people in our group off guard, but to me, that's usually a sign of freshness. The food did take a bit of time to come out, but given the size of our party, it was understandable. Overall, I really enjoyed our visit and would happily come back.

Our waiter was very polite and very friendly. It pains me say this, but we had awful experience with our food order. I ordered the grilled shrimp plate and husband ordered the fired oyster plate. My grilled shrimp plate, was over cooked. My husband fried oyster plate, " he found a long black hair... wrapped around one of the fried oyster". Manager took the fried oyster plate off our bill. That said, I still had a good experience overall--my wallet and cholesterol just might disagree. We showed up as a large group of 13 people with five separate checks, and our server handled it like an absolute pro. Everything was correct, and their patience at the end of a long day deserves major props. Parking was a pleasant surprise--a spacious private lot conveniently located right by the soccer fields. As for the food, we opted for the fried shrimp because everyone had talked it up. The portion looked big, but most of that was the thick breading. The shrimp inside was tiny and unfortunately lacked flavor. It wasn't bad, just bland and overshadowed by the heavy coating. The restaurant itself is huge and perfect for large parties. I definitely recommend calling ahead. They offer TVs, a salad bar, and a full range of drinks--from cocktails to beer. It's very family-friendly. Prices felt a bit high for the portion sizes, but to be fair, seafood is always on the pricier side. They do offer non-seafood options too, which is nice for anyone in your group who isn't a seafood fan

We came in on a Friday afternoon for a lunch after coming across Yelp reviews while in search of a local place with fried oysters and fried shrimp. The claim to be the "best friend shrimp in the entire civilized world" is a big one, so of course it needed to be tested. I'm not a seafood eater, but my husband and in laws believe they have earned the right to make that claim. I ordered the Island Chicken and added a side of okra. So good! I loved the fries and their hush puppies. The ranch I used to dip my fries in was tasty too! My husband and in laws all ordered a variation of the create your own platter with fried shrimp, fried oysters, and crab cakes. My MIL says she rarely eats cole slaw because she's always been picky about it but she LOVED hers here. She even made sure I got a to go box to take the portion I didn't eat with me. She's been wanting fried oysters since they got their condo earlier this week and said the ones she had here did not disappoint. My husband loved that he could add a cup of gumbo onto his fried platter for only $3. I asked everyone for their meal rating since I don't feel I can rate a restaurant that primarily serves seafood solo because I don't eat it. Everyone said they deserve the full 5 stars, except my father-in-law who said the dessert makes it a 10! I had a key lime pie while they ordered the banana. Everything was great! My only regret is that no one had enough room to even attempt to try a world-famous bushwhacker. Sadly, we leave after this weekend to go back home. However, I'm confident they'll be coming back often to eat more fried shrimp!

It's smells clean not like stinky fish. They have a counter full of ice for fresh items, coolers for premade goods, and freezers for frozen items. There is also a very easy to understand menu. We were feeding 4 teenagers and 2 adults so we decided to go with 3 of the boils. We added in crab legs to two. The crab legs are frozen so you just pick out which pack you want. You have 3 seasons to choose from, mild, medium, or Cajun. We did the medium and Cajun. We also grabbed a container of their lump crab dip and a peanut butter pie. Oh and you can't forget the garlic butter. They even warmed it up for us. I will say with everything we got we probably could have fed at least one more person. We did have one teen that wasn't fond of shrimp but she ate plenty of other things. Our meal cost us just under $200. That's just over $33 per person with dessert for 6 people. The sausage was really good. It was the main thing the kids wished we had more of, that and potatoes. They are big potato fans. I didn't think the potatoes really had a chance to soak up the flavor but if you cut them open and rubbed them around it was good. I thought overall everything was a bit salty and that's a lot coming from me. I'm the girl that salts my chocolate chip cookies. I like my salt y'all! The shrimp was a bit over cooked or something because it was extremely hard to peel but wasn't rubbery. We got the large shrimp and the headless reds. To be honest with you I couldn't really tell a difference. If I did it over again I wouldn't waste the extra money on the reds. The dip was very good. It was loaded with flavor and clumps of crab just like it should be. It did not have any shells that we came across which is a big plus in my book. The peanut butter pie was very tasty. I highly recommend it! We are already planning to stop back in when we head back down for our next wrestling tournament. You really can not beat the price for seafood in the area.

Our waiter Holden promptly greeted us and brought us drinks. He gave us a few minutes to look over the menu and we finally decided on country fried steak. A gentleman came around with fried okra before our meals came out and it was delicious. This was our first time trying okra and it did not disappoint. Our meals came out pretty quickly and we sat waiting to have rolls "throwed" at us. My husband spotted the roll thrower, put up his hand, and had a roll "throwed" at him that he ended up partially catching with his hand and his chest. I was slow raising my hamd and had to wait for my roll. Surprisingly, I caught the roll. It was soft, but heavy. We then waited for the girl to come around with the apple butter and molasses. We each got a scoop of apple butter and proceeded to enjoy our rolls. We also had the fried potatoes with onions which was the best side second only to the rolls themselves. The sides with our entree - french fries, corn bread, peaches- were okay, but I could do without them. The mashed potatoes and gravy were a good pairing with the country fried steak. The real winners were the "throwed" rolls, friend potatoes with onions, and the okra. Holden was wonderful and attentive. He provided a box to take my leftovers, offered us togo drinks even though all we ordered was water, and went back and got me togo silverware so I could enjoy my leftovers in the car. I don't know if we would go out of our way to return, but it was a fun experience and we enjoyed most of what we ordered.
