I left a 5 star review for them then, and I'm going to do the same here. I'll just hit the basics that you all are interested in. This time, we had two trees in our backyard trimmed. They were in desperate need of trimming. Branches were hanging over our fence into our neighbors' yards. One tree had a limb actually touching the ground. The second tree was starting to concern us as it was coming close to rubbing against the house. 1) Price. I won't paint them into a corner on a quote, but Joseph was, again, the best quote we received out of three. Significantly so. We saved a good deal of money over other companies' quotes. 2) Professionalism. They were able to get us scheduled just a few days after the first visit. They provided us with the quote and documentation of insurance in a timely fashion. They showed up on time. The entire crew was courteous and professional. Their cleanup of debris from our yard and our neighbor's yards was thurough. It is always a relief when you entrust a project to someone else, and it goes off without a hitch. We will enjoy several years before our trees will need another trim. I will absolutely reach out to Jimenez Tree Service again when that time comes.

We are extremely pleased with 1st Green for the landscaping job that they did at our house in Anthem Ranch, Broomfield, CO. Their team showed up early every day as expected and worked very hard throughout the day, no matter what the weather was (mostly very hot). Their organization with other contractors to do various parts of the project was perfect & they also showed up when expected and performed their assignments as detailed in the contract. We found their overall cost to be reasonable and realistic without any surprises in the final billing. Any additional adjustments we requested were done to our complete satisfaction and any questions were addressed immediately. They also cleaned up the site at the end of each day. We highly recommend 1st Green for any landscaping project, big or small. The design that Chris did with our input made the implementation very seamless and allowed for adjustments as the job was progressing. We are very pleased with the "new look" of both the front and back lawn areas of our property!! Chris has a very good knowledge of plants that thrive in our climate and knows the restrictions of the Anthem Ranch Architectural Committee so that our plans were accepted immediately without any required changes. Chris made many recommendations that enhanced the overall "new look"

Chris Schroeder was there for me with irrigation challenges when i first moved here last July and any time I've called on him since. He is professional, pleasant and trustworthy. Thank you 1st Green Colorado! I look forward to working with you throughout the season.

Of the eight landscape designers I reached out to, Dave was the only one to get back to me within 24 hours. His responsiveness continued through the life of the project. That alone would be worth repeat business, as I'm sick of having to chase contractors down when I'm trying to give them money. We asked Dave to give us a bid on about a dozen individual projects in our yard and then let us select which ones to actually implement. He was happy to accommodate and patiently answered a multitude of questions. The actual job went smoothly and quickly. It started on time, there was no fuss or drama, and a few minor changes were easily accommodated while the work progressed. We plan to hire Glacier again.

We had a…read morefair amount of river rock we wanted removed from the side of our yard, and given the fantastic job he did before we wanted to go with Dave again. Nearly five month lead time and a crew was sent out to dig it - by hand - in nearly 100 degree heat in the middle of August. They did the best they could given the temperature and lack of oversight, but in the end the job was left 90% completed. Gatorades and freezer pops couldn't have saved them. Dave came to the door seemingly in a hurry, asked for the check and left, not checking up on the work his crew did (who also left without saying anything to us). I've already hand-dug and hauled four dump-carts full of rock with, I'm estimating, maybe four more to go. I'm happy I didn't have to do the whole thing so am grateful for that, but the stark contrast between the first job and the second had our necks feeling like we got whiplash. What happened? It's great that Glacier View has blown up, meaning more work for his crew, and it's likely that we're such small potatoes now it's barely worth scheduling us, but it sucks to be treated as an afterthought. Maybe they aren't great for repeat business. {edit}: Dave reached out offering to finish the job, and while I'm admittedly still a bit sour over the extra work I do respect how he tried to make it right. More importantly I'm satisfied with the acknowledgment of the lack of communication and a reassurance of improvement moving forward: small job or large. So, I'm increasing the rating to what it should be.

If you were to see my other reviews, you would know that I am very discerning when it comes to landscape work. I have hired and fired three landscape companies due to how bad their service was. This company is the absolute opposite, and they have earned a lifetime customer. I had a backyard landscape job that I designed and they installed. Jason, the owner, worked with me every step of the way. I was impressed by how dedicated he was to picking the best trees and plants and getting the placement just right. He helped me with my plant choices when I wasn't sure about what I wanted. And his crew is so skilled, professional, kind and attentive. They all admire and respect their boss Jason (which to me speaks a lot about the kind of leadership he provides as a boss). I have to say, the whole process was actually a complete pleasure. My landscape looks incredible! Way better than I even expected. I give this company 5 stars across the board for everything from skills, to attentiveness, to cleaning up any messes, to cost, to timeliness, to responsiveness. I would give them 100 stars if I could! If you are trying to find a good company to do your landscaping, give Cedar & Soil a call. I know you will be delighted with your landscape. I don't feel it was an unreasonable question.....I see other comments stating they're super communicative, so maybe just a bad day. Here was the reply: I don't know where you got the impression that an account manager is not an actual landscaper, but our account managers are horticulture degree holders with years of field experience. All of them were landscape foreman prior and worked their way to that role. Good luck finding someone for your project. Yikes!
