From start to finish Jody and her team were wonderful to work with--they were highly knowledgeable, professional, communicative, and responsive, and took the time to make sure everything was designed and completed to a high standard. This project is something we'd been wanting to do for years, and it came out better than we could have imagined! We had a lot of different goals for what's a fairly small front yard with quite a bit of shade: we wanted an attractive design that would reduce water use and maintenance needs, support pollinators throughout the full growing season, create a firebreak near the house, have a nice space for our kids to enjoy, and add some edible plants/berries/herbs if possible. Wild Heritage went above and beyond in delivering on all of these criteria, and it's a strong testament to their experience, passion, and deep knowledge of landscape design, sustainable planting, water management, and construction. Our new front yard has quickly become a favorite place for our whole family to spend time, and our kids love running around the path, sitting on the rocks, watching bumblebees and ladybugs, and admiring each new flower that blooms. Our 6-year-old son now asks to go outside with us every night to read on the patio and is beyond excited to pick strawberries, gooseberries, honeyberries, and cherries as the plants grow and mature. And thanks to the high-quality soil, customized drip irrigation system, and detailed instructions Wild Heritage provided, the plants are already growing like crazy just a few short weeks after being planted. We've already gotten tons of compliments from our neighbors (both on our street and some that have been driving by), and we can't wait to see how our garden grows and changes over the coming years. Sept. 2026: Came down the stairs one day and heard a huge whooshing sound, and I just knew my…read morebasement must have inches of water in it! Ran downstairs: nothing! Went outside...a pipe to the sprinkler system had busted because of settling or something over the past 26 years. (Go figure!) Called up A 3 in 1 Irrigation Specialists, and Nathaniel and John came out (on time, right when they said they would), and fixed the broken pipe in short order! I showed him another broken sprinkler head, and he made quick work of that too. Oh, and I needed a new bell thing, and he got me all fixed up on that also. A few weeks later I asked them to come back for 2 reasons: 1: When Rod Martin's Complete Basement Systems installed the sump pump in my subfloor, it shoots water out of a pvc tube up to ground level, then goes underground for about 20 feet before dumping out a vent thing in the yard. But the pvc was the lamest, thinnest kind possible, and going over the buried pipe with the riding lawn mower caused it to crush the pvc pipe down flat (underground, under the grass, but I could see little shards of white plastic here and there.) So Nathaniel and John laid down a new, stronger pipe for me. The 2nd reason they came is because I've been noticing that when it rains, the water does not go down the downspout and into the pvc pipe and away from the house, it just stays there overflowing right up against the foundation of my house. I had a plumber tell me about a year ago that the roots from the fir tree above the pipe had busted through the pipe, and there was nothing he could do without removing the fir tree! All's I wanted him to do was to roto root the pipe, but apparently it was too full of roots to do it, or maybe he figured it also had cracks and holes in it. So I let that go until I decided to let them remove the fir tree, because I thought it had to be removed to lay new pipe. Well, I had Nathaniel take a look, he and John dug to find the end of the pipe, and guess what? It wasn't the fir tree's roots, it was the big maple tree in my front yard! And the pvc was entirely intact! When they built my house, they ran the pvc from the downspout, to under the sidewalk, it went about 18 inches further, and then it just stopped! There was no cap on the end or anything, just good old hard Colorado clay soil. So as the tree grew, its roots found that if it went inside the pvc pipe, it would have lots of water, so that's what it's been doing for the past 20 years. Mix that with the leaves and dust that have come DOWN the downspout and into the pipe, and you have a nice big rope of small and large roots, mixed with lots of mud. So Nathaniel and John added some pipe to bring it further into the yard (additional watering for a very dry spot in my yard!), and put a pop-up drainage thing at the end, so that whenever it rains, the water comes down the downspout, through the pvc, and the pop-up thing lifts up an inch and lets the water out into my yard. The rocks around it help absorb the heavy impact of the water, until the grass grows nice and strong again, then it will fill in around the rock. And NOW those pesky tree roots won't have a way to clog the pipe again! Just look at what 20+ years of roots in a pvc pipe looks like! Like a 15 foot snake! Anyway, Nathaniel and John are my Go To guys now, they went above and beyond at every turn. Once they located all my irrigation boxes (there are 5), and by located, I mean they were covered with bark and dirt across 2 sides of the house, I mentioned that I would get some flags so that we can find them easier next time. Guess what? They quickly grabbed their flags and flagged them for me! And there was a lot of leftover dirt piled up after the new pipe was laid, and Nathaniel asked me where I would like for them to remove the dirt to. I said "Oh, I think I have an idea of where I want to put it (hidden behind one of my bushes), don't worry about it, just leave it and I will take care of it." But they would not leave a job a mess, and they moved all the dirt and mud for me, and of course replaced the sod they had to remove to lay the pipe. So like many others here on Yelp, I had a fantastic experience with both Nathaniel and John. We found J&P on Yelp, and they were able to start w/in a fairly quick time frame. The crew was on time, every time. We didn't have the funds to nail down our whole project in one season, but put a good dent into the final project this year. These guys laid pavers for a pretty good sized patio for us, and we've gotten numerous compliments on how great it looks. They spent a tremendous amount of time measuring, leveling & cutting all the pavers to get them perfectly in place. The project took longer than I anticipated - but only because they spent so much time working on getting everything laid out and level. Our final project calls for a pretty good sized outdoor fireplace. In addition to the pavers, they planted some trees and threw in a couple trees for us, and they did the rough ins for the gas line once we actually get to the fireplace. We are quite pleased with our choice of landscapers and can't wait to get everything finished up.

I replaced everything going from the house to the sprinkler control boxes with my plumbers and then and then looked to an expert for sprinkler repair. Billed for an estimate on repair when I was unaware the tech had shown up or done any examination. When I viewed the bill and was surprised the tech had shown up I inquired what was the best way to proceed. This company accepted my inquiry and needed to cancel end of July or early August. At end of August I got a bill via email and when I asked about the bill via phone number on the bill I unfortunatlly caught the billing person a little unaware as she answered my inquiry on the phone while she was driving home. We resolved she would get the information from the tech and call me back when she was able to catch up. I was very clear I was interested in getting sprinkler fixed but was disappointed I had not spoken to tech as the remodel and landscaping change reconfigured my sprinkler needs. deck and patio removed most of the back yard and the front yard needs changed because of lawn removal. I told her I was surprised her tech could work up an estimate without my self or my contractor being there. when I did not hear back it had moved off my priority list and I also forgot we had not resolved the issue until I listed the property for sale I took a concession on a non working system. I get a hateful voice mail a few days ago end of March seven months after our conversation demanding payment for services last year I called back immediately after I got off work 430 pm thirty minutes after the hateful voicemail. I was unfortunately able to again talk to this person again on the way home from work and again she did not know the details of my bill but would look in the morning and call me back. next day she call and tells me she had just sent me the work order. I answered I don't have access to my email can you read the details to me. she responded she didn't have it front of her. I was stunned why would you send an email call the person confirming you sent the email and then be unable to view the email. I explained my frustration that her taking business calls on her phone while driving and then not being able to follow up when she was back at work was a waste of all of our time. I asked when I could expect a call from her boss so we could resolve this as my confidence in her ability to solve this issue was now exhausted. Mike called later in the day and I missed the call. I saw the missed call and returned his call. I identified myself and asked if this was the sprinkler guy. The conversation started with his statement he would not talk to me without an apology. taken aback I replied we can discuss the issue and at that point determine if apologies are owed on either side. His response was apologize or go to collections I will not discuss this. I will not be black mailed. I said the money isn't the issue the bill is 80$ I just want some clarification if anyone ever did any work and if they did where is the estimate or even how much is it. His answer apologize or go to collections.I don't want your money I want an apology. So black mail inept followup and I don't know about the service ad I still don't have an estimate or a time frame of how we could get this work done before I sold house.

Weeks ago, we got it running by having our trustworthy regular sprinkler man replace the controller and troubleshoot a few sprinkler heads. To our surprise, it worked. That is, until we received several notifications from Aurora Water that we were using tremendous amounts of water. We got our regular guy back to the house, but he couldn't find any apparent leaks. He also couldn't find the second (backyard) valve box. It's a pretty big backyard. So, I started to trace the front yard valve box wire to the second valve box by digging it up. It quickly became apparent, it was the equivalent of finding the Titanic unless I wanted to spend days, perhaps weeks, searching for the elusive valve box. I contacted our regular guy again, who many of you know and appreciate, and he referred me to Irrigation Genies. They specialize in sprinkler systems of all types. They also specialize in complex sprinkler issues including locating lost valve boxes and leak detection. I emailed the company and Chris Cortez, the owner, sent back a message with a few possible underlying scenarios...and the various costs to fix them. I shared as much pertinent information that I could and scheduled an appointment date, yesterday, 7/25. Chris showed up on time and got right to work. It took about 45 minutes or so to locate the buried valve box with an electronic device. He noted each of the 3 backyard valves were ancient and 1 was broken, leaking. Chris spent about 6 hours in tremendously hot conditions, and replaced all 3 valves so we wouldn't revisit that problem any time soon. Chris was methodical, professional and friendly. Considering the amount of work he completed and the complexity of the problem, he absolutely nailed it. I cannot praise him enough. He worked in a stepwise manner, located the mysteriously hidden valve box, fixed the problem - and more - and did it with an A+ attitude. If you don't already have a sprinkler company, I highly recommend Irrigation Genies and Chris Cortez. Otherwise, if you have a complicated sprinkler problem, call him today. I am incredibly thankful and impressed by Chris, the work he performed, his manner, attitude and professionalism. I think you will be too!

Updating from my prior review and removing photos from the first job three years ago. We had a…read morefair amount of river rock we wanted removed from the side of our yard, and given the fantastic job he did before we wanted to go with Dave again. Nearly five month lead time and a crew was sent out to dig it - by hand - in nearly 100 degree heat in the middle of August. They did the best they could given the temperature and lack of oversight, but in the end the job was left 90% completed. Gatorades and freezer pops couldn't have saved them. Dave came to the door seemingly in a hurry, asked for the check and left, not checking up on the work his crew did (who also left without saying anything to us). I've already hand-dug and hauled four dump-carts full of rock with, I'm estimating, maybe four more to go. I'm happy I didn't have to do the whole thing so am grateful for that, but the stark contrast between the first job and the second had our necks feeling like we got whiplash. What happened? It's great that Glacier View has blown up, meaning more work for his crew, and it's likely that we're such small potatoes now it's barely worth scheduling us, but it sucks to be treated as an afterthought. Maybe they aren't great for repeat business. {edit}: Dave reached out offering to finish the job, and while I'm admittedly still a bit sour over the extra work I do respect how he tried to make it right. More importantly I'm satisfied with the acknowledgment of the lack of communication and a reassurance of improvement moving forward: small job or large. So, I'm increasing the rating to what it should be.
