From the get-go, he was rude and uncomfortable to be around. When we asked what he was here for because we weren't expecting anyone before 12:30 pm, he just said "sprinkler" in the most unfriendly tone. When my parent, who did know the sprinkler system, got home, they called him back to the house (he had already left). What happened next made the whole household feel super uncomfortable and unsafe. When he arrived, he got out of his red truck, furious that he had been called back. My parent then asked what he did that cost $140. He then went off, he started mocking my parent, yelling and screaming profanities at them, and acting like such an asshole. Never calling these people again, worst experience from a sprinkler guy ever

Flatiron Sprinkler sent a couple guys over within 2 days. They did *excellent* work, and were totally dedicated to making me happy. There were two defective solenoids, which they replaced. Then in testing one zone was still exhibiting the symptom so they found that my clock had a defective breaker module and swapped that out. I know they weren't over-selling because the foreman showed me before-and-after swapping the module how it solved the problem. Then at my request they extended my sprinkler system. Again, they were super dedicated to making it work just the way I wanted. I'm delighted with the result. Would definitely hire them again.

https://irrigationgenies.com…read more We have a rental property - from the 1950s - just south of the Central Park neighborhood with a sprinkler system likely from the 1980s. Weeks ago, we got it running by having our trustworthy regular sprinkler man replace the controller and troubleshoot a few sprinkler heads. To our surprise, it worked. That is, until we received several notifications from Aurora Water that we were using tremendous amounts of water. We got our regular guy back to the house, but he couldn't find any apparent leaks. He also couldn't find the second (backyard) valve box. It's a pretty big backyard. So, I started to trace the front yard valve box wire to the second valve box by digging it up. It quickly became apparent, it was the equivalent of finding the Titanic unless I wanted to spend days, perhaps weeks, searching for the elusive valve box. I contacted our regular guy again, who many of you know and appreciate, and he referred me to Irrigation Genies. They specialize in sprinkler systems of all types. They also specialize in complex sprinkler issues including locating lost valve boxes and leak detection. I emailed the company and Chris Cortez, the owner, sent back a message with a few possible underlying scenarios...and the various costs to fix them. I shared as much pertinent information that I could and scheduled an appointment date, yesterday, 7/25. Chris showed up on time and got right to work. It took about 45 minutes or so to locate the buried valve box with an electronic device. He noted each of the 3 backyard valves were ancient and 1 was broken, leaking. Chris spent about 6 hours in tremendously hot conditions, and replaced all 3 valves so we wouldn't revisit that problem any time soon. Chris was methodical, professional and friendly. Considering the amount of work he completed and the complexity of the problem, he absolutely nailed it. I cannot praise him enough. He worked in a stepwise manner, located the mysteriously hidden valve box, fixed the problem - and more - and did it with an A+ attitude. If you don't already have a sprinkler company, I highly recommend Irrigation Genies and Chris Cortez. Otherwise, if you have a complicated sprinkler problem, call him today. I am incredibly thankful and impressed by Chris, the work he performed, his manner, attitude and professionalism. I think you will be too!
