I asked to get a quote. Oscar responded within an hour. His quote was in line with the others. He gave me an estimated date to start. He was there as promised and at 8am. Worked all day in the heat. Finished the next morning. He also cleaned up after finishing. He also suggested different options for the gate. It looks awesome and very happy with the work. I hired Oscar to re-sod a high-traffic area of my yard and to re-fresh gravel pathways that had been ruined by years of dogs and kids, and to remove some old shrubs, including a huge shrub near utilities that had to be carefully removed by hand. He was responsive to my questions and concerns, prompt, professional, and fast. The estimate he gave was itemized and transparent. I thought the estimate was fair for the work done. Repeat customer here, but just had to highlight how wonderful Mendoza and Sons is to work with. Many companies won't even give you the time of day for a small project, but I reached back out to Oscar for an new project - removing some grass and soil from our front lawn. Not only did Oscar respond immediately, but Jose was able to get me a quote in person in less than a day. Jose was early on the day of the job, ready to start immediately, and was able to complete the work within three hours. He took so much care around the sprinkler heads and made sure to clean up everything. Highly recommend!! read more

We received services from Mr. Oscar Mendoza and Sons business in August and we were blown away by their work! We moved into a rental home that had a very unkempt filthy yard, we along with our dog were not able to roam safely in the yard due to how much vegetation, bugs, and debris were in the yard. We needed support with the clean up of debris in the front and back yards and Mr. Mendoza was able to visit the property, gave us a very reasonable and fair estimate, and a few days later we were able to schedule them in to help with the yard clean up. Mr. Mendoza and his other team member were professional, kind, competent, and went above and beyond in the yard debris clean up! We attached pictures of before and after and to this day whenever we go outside we are so thankful for Mr. Mendoza providing such superb yard services! read more

Mendoza & Sons came in and resod my front yard, as wall as putting new rock, metal barrier, munch on my side walk and around two big trees. I went from having the worst looking front yard in our block to become one of the better looking one. We were happy with the work and so do our neighbors. I got a few quotes and they were all in similar range, so the price were reasonable for the work done. 1 week turn around time from first contact on yelp, estimate and having the work done. Overall 5 stars experience. read more

Jose and Oscar kindly offered me a good deal for my garden project. They came early and worked very hard to cut down and dig 4 evergreens' stumps, trim 1 bush and 3 Lilacs. I hired Mendoza and Sons to build a retaining wall, put in a concrete walkway on the side of my house, build a new gate and clean our gutters. From start to finish the experience was top notch. Oscar responded to my initial inquiry very quickly and they were out to my house to give me a quote within 24 hours. Their quote was very reasonable for the scope of the project (I got 3 other quotes) and they moved quickly once we signed the agreement. They show up BEFORE their stated start time and are actually working by the time they say they'll start (instead of just barely showing up and slowly getting things going). The entire project was done within days and they were extremely efficient, no wasting time or giving excuses about why something wasn't on schedule. Overall I recommend Mendoza & Sons to anyone looking to have work done, you will not be disappointed!! (Multiple neighbors have come by asking for cards after seeing the final product) read more

Our neighbors dogs broke a few panels of our fence and we needed someone to come fix some broken fence panels and stabilize the fence with another set of backer rails. They were super responsive and were able to get these 2x4's up on our fence within a day of me asking what days they had for availability (which we will end up staining this summer). The most important part was that this job was clean, they had competitive pricing, and the rails and replacement panels were installed quickly to make sure that our neighbors dogs didn't make any surprise guest appearances. Many thanks to Mendoza y Sons! read more

From start to finish everything was fabulous! Oscar was quick to reply to my initial inquiry. He set up a visit to take a look within several days. His quote was reasonable. His communication was fabulous about what was included in his quote and timelines. And the work he and his crew did was exactly what we wanted. We were left with a finished product that exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend. read more

Oscar Mendoza and Jose Marcial make a great team. They removed and replaced the broken sections of our concrete driveway, rebuilt our front patio by removing and relaying the brick pavers, and replaced the timbers around our front garden area. They listened closely to what we needed, offered suggestions, and were efficient as they tackled everything in a strategic sequence. It was all done in less than 4 days. I had received estimates from 2 other companies, so I know that Mendoza and Sons' pricing is fair and competitive. I highly recommend them, and will hire them again. If I had known how easy it would be to work with them, I wouldn't have waited so long to start giving our landscape the facelift it needs. Hire these guys. You won't be disappointed. read more

These guys are awesome! I had them come out and prepare my back yard for a complete re-do which involved scraping the top soil/weeds off, grading, and removing about 7 sumac stumps some of which were right up against structures. They got it done in a single day and did an amazing job. The stumps were all painstakingly ripped out which will prevent those sumac trees from trying to come back. It was obvious these guys know what they're doing and they were super easy to work with. The price was also the best I could find and very reasonable considering the amount of work they did. Highly highly recommend! read more

We have used Mendoza and Sons twice this year (so far). Some tree trimming and stump removal for the first job plus removal of an old staircase and backyard path of flagstone that was in a great state of decay. We didn't know what to replace it with and Oscar and his crew came up with the idea of a "breeze" path, which was very affordable and perfect for our purposes. Oscar has been extremely responsive and also available, punctual, great communicator and professional. Jobs were left very tidy when completed. He also took out our old concrete stoop and hand crafted a new one to replace. I won't hesitate to contact Oscar again when I need help with something. read more

Oscar at Mendoza & Sons was the first one to get back to me. Oscar asked me what my availability was and came over the same day to look at the project and give us a quote. My neighbor and I needed our leaning fence fixed with new concrete posts. Most people we reached out to wouldn't help us, but when we called Oscar from Mendoza & Sons he came right over and gave us a really fair quote. We scheduled a time for the job and Oscar and crew we right on time and knocked out the job in one day. They cleaned up after themselves and were complete professionals. I'm having them come back and fix my other fence line I share with another neighbor. The are one of the few honest and reliable tradesmen left in Denver. Oscar, (Mendoza & Sons), they were punctual, communicative, professional and did a terrific job for me. Their pricing was fair for the replacement of the broken fence posts. After the job was complete I wish to note that their cleanup was impeccable. Called and they came out a couple of days later and gave us a reasonable bid and we were able to book the appointment later that week because we had a large area of our lawn that was dying and needed to be ripped up and new sod put down. Jose and Oscar not only pulled out the old sod but dug deep enough to add fresh dirt before the new sold was put into place to promote good growth. They discovered some sprinkler problems during that dig up and they helped us address the problem to hopefully prevent future damage to the new lawn down the road. They did great work and we told them we would use them again! Two weeks later we had them out to trim and thin out some large trees we have and they again, did fantastic work. They will be our go to guys for all outdoor work moving forward! We are already discussing some projects for next spring we want them to take on! Thanks Oscar and Jose for great work! read more

I reached out to Oscar Mendoza and he immediately called me back. I told him what I needed and he went to the property and gave me a quote that same day. Extremely professional, hard working and they did an outstanding job! We will definitely be using them for future projects. We are beyond happy with their work. Thank you! read more
