Every worker I came in contact with was professional and did an outstanding job. Roof Worx looks solid on paper. The company has great reviews and since my initial call to the company, I've been treated like a valued potential customer. Victor got in touch with me quickly and promptly came out to assess the damage to my roof caused by the wind storm on April 17, 2018. We were off to a good start, or so it seemed. Sadly, the incompetency, behavior and attitude of one person at the company caused the company a customer. Allow me to explain: During inspection of my roof, Victor assured me that he would have a tarp installed to avoid water damage to my house as we were expecting rain and snow during the next couple of days. I came home from work and noticed that the tarp was in place. I had a feeling that something wasn't right about the tarp - it wasn't draped over the top of the roof and I wondered if water would be able to penetrate the top of the tarp. I figured that a "professional" who is in the roofing business would be familiar with the basics of a simple tarp installation and I dismissed my worries. On the night that it started raining, I was woken up by all of my smoke alarms going off. Disoriented, I ran around the house looking for the cause, though I couldn't see nor smell anything smoke and/or fire related. Shortly after the alarms went off, water started coming into my bedroom through the ceiling-mounted smoke detector. I couldn't silence the smoke alarms even after I disconnected the smoke detector that was getting soaked by water and I ended up shutting off the electricity. Frantically, I tried calling Victor to no avail. It was well after 10 PM on Friday, understandingly pretty late for anyone to answer their phone. The rain was just getting started and the water was now coming in quickly. I called another roofing company and ended up with a person at my house close to midnight, doing all he could to save my ceiling from further damage. I was shown pictures of Victor's tarp installation and what I saw was something that any person with common sense would recognize as a sloppily affixed band-aid! My initial worry about the way the tarp was installed had been correct. When I finally connected with Victor and told him about what had occurred, he told me that the tarp could not be draped over the top of the roof because a vent was in the way. What was the point of the tarp then, decoration? I have water damage to my house because a roofing company project manager decided that my attic needed to breathe during a rain storm. During our phone call, not once did Victor ask about the damage that I had sustained to my house, nor did he apologize that the tarp had failed due to its poor installation. Victor did not offer any options in an attempt to rectify the situation. He seemed indifferent about my predicament and I got the impression that there's nothing to worry about since insurance can cover that damage as well. After hearing Victor's response and approach to the issue, I had decided that I would not want him as my project manager. The worst part of this unpleasant experience was Victor's major attitude change after I told him that I will be inviting another roofing company to meet with my insurance adjuster to go over the damages. Victor's demeanor went from bad to worse in an instant! He was very upset and angrily questioned me, "So you'll hire another roofing company just because some guy came out to help you at midnight?" Absolutely! I will NOT hire the guy who is incapable of handling a tarp and treats people like garbage when he doesn't get his way. Victor tried to make ME feel guilty as if I'm doing something wrong by not hiring the company which he so poorly represents. With his remarks and behavior, Victor destroyed any chance for any potential future projects. I will gladly do business with a company that respects its customers. read more

Reached out to the company to look at redoing my gutters. It was not a large job so I was worried that I wouldn't get very good treatment. Boy was I wrong. They sent one of their crew out very quickly who ran down all of the options that I had. One of which was simply repairing the existing gutters and possibly not needing to replace everything. It didn't seem to matter to them if I was spending $500 or $5000. I can see with as busy as denver has been in the trades it was really nice to be treated more than just the next project.I will use these guys for everything exterior from now on. read more

After our roof was totaled earlier this summer, we were bombarded by different contractors trying to gain our business. I have about six broken concrete tiles on my roof from a job they did after the hailstorm four years ago. They show up and fly a drone and say there is only one broken tile and that it is caused by a foot fault or settling which are not covered under warranty. I go up on the roof, find six broken tiles -send them pics and they still say they are not covered under warranty. I explain that they are in many different locations on the roof and that no one has been up on the roof to break them. They give me an estimate to repair and I ask them to split it with me because we disagree on the cause of the breakage. They refuse cover anything under my warranty which renders their warranties useless to customers. I had to have them come out several times to fix gutter leaks and my gutters still hold water because they are not sloped properly. If you think you are getting a warranty from Roofworx- think twice and their gutter contractors stink. read more

My house incurred hail damage in the summer of 2014 and after filing an insurance claim, I choose Roof Worx to perform the repair work. The actual work is fine and I do not have problem with the workmanship. I take issue to their billing. After signing the contract estimate, I expected to pay something very close to that number. On the estimate, several items were written in such as ridge venting for a specific amount ($ per x of linear feet). After all work was completed and a final bill was sent out, they wanted more money for the ridge venting even though it was clearly included on the estimate. Additionally, there were no permit fees included on the estimate. Perhaps I should have caught that, but I am not in the construction industry and you would think that their own professional estimator would know to include that fee. Hell, you would think this would be a dedicated line item on the estimate. So of course, they wanted that fee to be paid as well. And then there was tax on the materials. They already knew how much material to purchase because it was all written out on the estimate; so why wasn't this included initially. I just don't understand why they would leave stuff out to surprise the customer at the end? There were a few other more minor things that I don't feel the need to go into here as I hope the reader gets the picture. All told, they wanted almost 8% more than the written, signed estimate. I tried disputing this but when they sent a certified letter for payment; I just paid it to be done with it. A shame, because I would have agreed to split the amount. I informed the insurance company of the issue and told them as a long standing USAA member, I could not recommend Roof Worx and hope they inform their claimants to not use them. It is unfortunate that this took place. If you decide to use them, perhaps you should keep all this in mind. read more

I talked to a few other roofing companies after my initial meeting with Victor and Roof Worx.(while avoiding the storm chasers). Roof Worx just "sat right" with me and I'm glad I made them the choice. Entire process was painless, there was an actual site supervisor that came by a few times each day to check the work and make sure I had no concerns. I'm a perfectionist and after going up and looking the roof over I have to say the work impressed me! Cannot say enough good things about everyone at this company down to the receptionist that took my final check at the office! After contacting multiple companies about roof repair, I was confused about what actually needed to be done to have our roof fixed. We had a different company come out and do the work (it basically came down to the first company available since we had water coming into the house), but we had a hard time communicating with them about the work that was done. Jessica was nice enough to come by, take a look at the work after it was done, and explain the importance of having the company come back to do a "water test" on the roof to confirm the work was done correctly and the leak would no longer be an issue. She also encouraged me to work with our insurance, which resulted in the insurance covering the damages both inside our house and on the roof. Roof Worx built my home prior to getting into the roofing business. Strange they should choose this industry to enter as the only problems I have had w my home are roofing issues! Upon leaking water in the home, we contacted them to assist in finding and repairing the leaks. Both issues I have learned were repaired poorly. Upon speaking w owner to readdress the issues, even offering to pay to fix, he refused to fix. I just spent $9,070 to correct the issues. That is when I learned that both the original construction of the roof and the repairs that were completed by Roof Worx utilized inadequate membrane materials that deteriorated and improper vent selection and installation..
