This was the communication from Blue Lotus. I am not a landscaper, I'm an RN. "Are you free anytime this week? I can have an account manager come meet you any afternoon this week." To someone who isn't in the business, does the title account manager sound like a landscaper? Would you want clarification? This was my reply: "Thursday afternoon might work, say 1 or 2, but I'd prefer an actual landscaper to an account manager." I don't feel it was an unreasonable question.....I see other comments stating they're super communicative, so maybe just a bad day. Here was the reply: I don't know where you got the impression that an account manager is not an actual landscaper, but our account managers are horticulture degree holders with years of field experience. All of them were landscape foreman prior and worked their way to that role. Good luck finding someone for your project. Yikes! read more

In response to Blue Lotus' reply, I will re-iterate that Blue Lotus sold me the irrigation system and now will do nothing to help me obtain management rights to it. I repeatedly asked for someone to speak with me over the phone and they ignored all my calls and requests. I also asked to set up a maintenance plan so they could help me further and still no response. They responded only with refusals to help so now I have a remote system that cannot be programmed and a company that I purchased this through that refuses to provide any further assistance. read more

A year ago I fired Blue Lotus for bad service and bad work after year of tolerating there excuses. I am still paying for their poor workmanship. As I write I am having work done on the irrigation system Blue Lotus installed. This has not been a good experience. read more

We have worked with Blue Lotus for the last 4 years, starting with a landscape architectural plan and two phases to get everything installed and planted. Why such a long timeline? Well, it was a big investment and we found you get what you pay for! Now that everything is complete, we are thrilled with the finished product! Our neighbors can't stop commenting on the improvement and we are spending so much time outside enjoying our two livable spaces: front porch and private side patio with shade awnings. This has been a blessing with our small(ish) Highlands area home. Owner Tom Zingaro takes great pride in the work they do, as well as his right hand man Juan. The Blue Lotus design team worked with us to develop the right-fit design for our space, budget, and use desires. They were patient with us as we became educated consumers and the design evolved. Our project included significant reinforced-concrete demolition and large tree removal both of which were completed cleanly and quickly. The installation was similarly satisfying - so much fun coming home to progress, and the crews were always smiling and friendly. Our post installation experience has been good as well - site visits to tune the sprinkler settings as the plants took root, lawn care for our new sod while we were away on vacation, and a text to make sure that the sprinklers were blown out when that early cold snap hit (and a post-haste trip out to get it done immediately!). read more

We used Blur Lotus to redesign our backyard and also for maintenance. I can't speak highly enough about the work they did! The design team was amazing and came up with a very exciting plan for the space. They were timely, reliable, and very respectful for our property. Finished ahead of schedule, and responded right away when I have questions or concerns. During COVID, they wore masks throughout and made us feel very safe. I had them back to clean up for winter and they did an amazing job. I would definitely recommend them! read more

We moved into a new-build home in Montclair, Denver, in 2018. Tom and his team at Blue Lotus worked with us to turn the drab back yard that came with the house into something truly unique and wonderful -- friends and guests have said it's 'out of a design magazine.' The project included a bunch of demolition, and the creation/installation of a deck, pergola, lawn, lots of trees and shrubs, landscape lighting and irrigation. It's really transformed our home and extended our living space into the outdoors. Tom and Jen (designer) spent time up front understanding our needs and wants, our tastes, and our space, and worked with us through multiple iterations of the design. The final design was quite extensive, but they laid out options to contain costs and phase the work to make it more manageable. Their attention to quality and detail is exceptional. Anytime small mistakes or imperfections came along, Tom would without question fix or replace whatever was wrong -- including swapping out a beam on a pergola (after it was installed!), because the color of the wood was slightly darker than the other beams. We felt like he was even more committed to things being perfect than we were. Now that the project is done we are grateful for that commitment. There may be cheaper options out there, but ultimately you get what you pay for, and given the quality and the attention to detail we feel like we got really good value from Blue Lotus. Dave created the overall design and then Blue Lotus Outdoors detailed out the water feature that was central to the project. Blue Lotus Outdoors did all landscaping at our project at 3000 E. Cedar Ave., #7. Tom clarified what we were looking to accomplish. The project was done on project and on time. Called them a week ago and never returned my call. Can't expect good service on the landscaping side if they don't call back. Hard pass.

I live out of state, our house was on the market and the yard was in desperate need of a complete clean up to get ready for showings. I called Blue Lotus and DeAnne was wonderful. She got gardeners to go out that same week, she listened to everything that needed to be done and assured me that they would take care good care of us. True to their word, I heard from the neighbors that the yard looked beautiful and that they had done a fabulous job. The only downside is that they are quite expensive. When the bill turned out to be twice as much as I was expecting, the owner Tom sent me an email and was willing to adjust it given the misunderstanding. Unfortunately, they are way too expensive to use on a regular basis for maintenance, but I would highly recommend if you need high quality work done timely and fast. read more
