He had more excuses doing my yard I think it was more then he could handle and then he set my system up on his telephone the watering system because I was on vacation when this whole thing went in and he won't come out and help me put it on my phone and figure out how to get started on the system he installed. He stood me up time and time again and I'm done so that I gave him 6 weeks and then he had my system on a timer on his phone only he can work and now he forgot to turn the backyard on and burnt my yard that I just paid 19,000 for in the back and it's all burned up very irresponsible. I would only recommend maybe a sprinkler blowout but no big jobs. He never came back to put the system on my phone or to show me what kind of system it was nothing I was out of town. He told my husband when I got back. He would put it on my phone, I've waited six weeks and I'm done waiting. read more

Michael is the absolute best. He has been doing this for over 40 years and is clearly an expert. He turned on my sprinkler system in the spring and spent a long time teaching me how everything works and setting up the program so my grass would be green and happy all summer. He immediately noticed and repaired a couple of issues in my system. He also winterized my system this fall and pointed out a significant plumbing problem that had been missed by a different company the year prior, and could have caused damage over the winter if not repaired. I've hired Michael for sprinkler work for several years across 3 properties for full system installation, winterization blowouts, spring turn-ons, fixing leaks, replacing heads, and just about anything else you can think of related to sprinklers. Michael and Daniel work incredibly hard, are easy to work with, are reliable, and have very fair prices (generally cash or check only). I honestly wish every business operated like how Michael does. Michael has been in the industry for decades and is a bona fide expert in his work. He has a very lean operation so getting through on phone/text may be difficult during peak season as he personally answers every call. I schedule at least a month in advance before peak season and have no issue getting on the books. If you call for last minute work you may be disappointed if his schedule is full already. read more

I have never met Mike Gorman, but I can tell you he is fantastic with sprinklers! My former lawn guy recommended Mike for my sprinkler blow out a couple years ago and I've been calling him to do it ever since. My lawn guy mentioned that I had a sprinkler head that was broken (not that I would notice, since they're set up to go on at like 4am), so I had Mike fix it for me and he set up my water timer and settings perfectly. I had a nice beautiful, green lawn this year (unlike the year before when I set them up myself). I work full-time, so it's really difficult to find time to be home when work needs to be done at my house. I trust Mike to do the work when I'm not around and bill me for it. Believe me when I say, I've had less than stellar things to say about some contractors, but Gorman's is not one of them. I highly recommend that you have Mike take care of your sprinklers. read more

We had a different company come out to fix our leaky sprinkler system. After a couple hours and a few hundred dollars of work, it appeared the problem was fixed. However, two days later it was leaking again. We called the original company to come back, which they did, but once again the sprinkler system was still leaking. Finally, a neighbor recommended Gorman's. Michael and Daniel came out and fixed the system, including re-doing some things that the original company had botched. I had a broken valve that was flooding both the valve box and the yard around it. Based on my initial calls, I thought I would have to wait for two weeks to get it fixed. Then Michael responded to my Yelp query and came over the next day. He and his son were quick, professional, and did a great job replacing the valve. Had Michael and his brother design and put in our sprinkler system over 13 yrs ago and it's worked great ever since. Even after all those yrs, Michael still knows where he placed the lines which is helpful when a pitchfork, as in gardening, cuts the line.
