I haven't heard a word in text email or call from Sam since our last check cleared. Again, great work, but very strange that there's no support or follow up, so beware of "warranty" support. Thankfully we haven't needed it but it would make me hesitate to recommend these guys to other folks.

Sam was very prompt, personable and professional to meet with. But once the work was done, the…read morequality and workmanship was shoddy in a number of areas. He claimed he would send people back out week after week to fix issues (and collect MORE money) but never did. They were slated to do both my patio and build a pergola, but after the patio was done I had no interest in in letting them build the pergola. And good thing - the eventual replacement I found did fantastic work, at HALF the price of Sam's estimate!! Here are some of the issues; 1. I have a sprinkler head that feeds a drip system. I told him day 1 it was very important NOT to cover it. He said ok, and so crew moved the head over a couple feet... THEN COVERED IT ANYWAY!! Now if there's ever a problem with that head, I'll have to tear up the patio to get to it. His response? "It'll be fine." Seriously!! 2. It's a square space, but the paver stones were laid at a 5-10 degree angle?? Then the edges were cut perfectly straight at the ends, leaving an ugly unnatural finish in a very obvious place. 3. They rebuilt our bad step, but it was already cracked the day he finished. It's not even by the door to be stepped on, why is it broken already? 4. Polysand (the cement-like hardening sand they use to keep it together) was left splattered all over my house and screen doors and windows. I had to scrub the house clean, but the screens are shot. 5. The patio slopes in three or four different directions, but I'll allow the weird Broomfield soil and my original slab take some of the blame for that. After weeks of waiting for any contractor to get back to me in this overwhelmed market, I was thrilled to finally have someone to work with. But I would not recommend their services to a friend after this.

inconsistent pricing, unreliable scheduling, aggressive communication, threatening and erratic…read morebehavior. Pricing issues Chris gave us an initial quote and was very confident, saying that other companies could be ripping us off by including extra work he claimed wasn't necessary. Once the job had already started, he changed his position and said the extra work might actually be needed. He then tried to charge us an additional amount that was higher than the price quoted by other companies we had contacted. Scheduling problems We never got a clear time for estimates or work. I constantly had to ask for an approximate arrival time. When he came on Friday, he worked for less than two hours and then stopped, saying he was "too tired" and would need to come back on Monday to finish. Unprofessional and aggressive communication When I followed up on Monday, Chris said he couldn't come as promised because he wanted to spend time with his kids. He said he could come Tuesday but "don't know when. maybe late afternoon." When I told him I was unhappy with that and the possible additional charges, the conversation escalated. He raised his voice, blamed me for "not letting him be with his kids," and kept yelling. I ended the call to stop the interaction. After that, he repeatedly called and sent a series of long, hostile text messages. In those messages, he called us "ungrateful," for him saving us and our tree, and criticized other tree companies, painting himself as the only one who can do the job. Most concerning, he sent a text saying he would come immediately to "undo" his work and that the tree would "fall and hit the house." Because of how serious that statement was, we told him we would contact the police and take legal action if he intentionally made the tree fall. Erratic behavior About 30 minutes after sending the angry messages and blocking my number, Chris showed up at our house acting like a completely different person. He apologized multiple times and even offered to finish all the work for free. We chose to pay the originally agreed-upon price just to end the situation and avoid further conflict. Sexist and dismissive behavior Chris was dismissive toward me when I asked questions. His tone was noticeably better when speaking to my husband. In one message, he said that hanging up the phone was "not adult-like" and specifically criticized me for "hanging up on men." Bottom line: This was an extremely stressful experience involving unclear pricing, constant schedule changes, aggressive communication, and statements that felt threatening. Chris said that even if we posted a negative review, he "doesn't care" because he is retiring in 2 years and he has enough clients who "love" him. We would not hire Chris again. If you care about clear estimates, reliability, professionalism, and being treated with respect, I recommend choosing another tree service company.

My wife described the issue in detail, scheduled a tech to come to the house, and was promised a multi-hour appointment . When the tech arrived he wasn't aware of the repair and thought he was there to blow out the sprinklers. He only had 30 minutes available. My wife tried to schedule a corrected visit over the subsequent week, but the scheduler claimed repeatedly only the owner could approve it for some reason. The owner didn't respond to multiple messages. We finally asked our realtor to contact the company since she had a long standing relationship and we needed the work done before closing. A new set of two appointments was scheduled with the first set for multiple hours to complete the repairs. When the crew arrived today, the leader of the team immediately began berating my wife for leaving them a bad review online (she didn't). She told him she didn't know what he was talking about. He proceeded to yell at her and claimed she was lying. They went back and forth briefly until the crew leader escalated further, continued to yell at her, and insisted that she immediately retrieve her phone and remove the bad review (that didn't exist) or call the realtor to have her remove the negative review (which still didn't exist). He then said he wouldn't be doing repairs despite having two trucks and a four person crew onsite and was only willing to replace a single valve and blow out the system. At this point my wife came inside nearly in tears. I went outside and, in rather vulgar terms, told them to get off my property and never to return.
