I've been doing business with Precision Carpet Cleaning for about twenty years, back to when my…read morefriend, David Yoder, owned it. David's retired now and he's passed the business on to his son-in-law, Scott, who co-owns it with Doug. This is simply the best carpet cleaning company in the area. Not only do they do an outstanding job of cleaning carpets, but they use environmentally friendly products, and their customer service is simply fantastic. Invariably they arrive right at the appointed time, scope out the job, give you a price for it, and get right to work. As an example of their customer service, today Scott provided booties for us to wear on the damp carpet, and he offered to provide fans to help with the drying process. This is a really professional company that has excellent business practices and fantastic customer service. I give it my highest recommendation!

We've had Doug and his crew come out three times to work for us, and each time we couldn't be…read morehappier. The first run was in November to clean the living/family room carpet which was a terrible dirty mess and the master bedroom carpet plus bathroom hardwood floors. Scott came out with the crew and they did a miraculous job, making the ~15 year old cut berber carpet look brand new despite the 8 years of indoor shoe-wearing leaving visible dirt trails! The hardwood bathroom floors turned out wonderfully shiny and the master carpet had its old funky smell removed. The second visit was to clean two sets of carpeted stairs, upstairs bedrooms, basement bedrooms, basement great room, clean the arm of a synthetic suede couch (to remove the skin oils), apply shine to the fireplace surround rock tiles, and clean and apply shine to the family room/dining nook/kitchen hardwood floor. Several permanent (we assumed) stains left by the prior owners in the basement berber carpet were handily removed by Doug's crew, as was the dirt trail from shoes on the berber stair treads. The cut berber and bedrooms in the upstairs all turned out great as well. The couch arm old-oily-grandpa residue cleaning was a fantastic success. The true miracle, however, was the family/dining/kitchen hardwood floor cleaning. This floor sees the most wear in the entire house and looked tired after decades of use. When Scott finished his work in this area, the hardwood looked refinished and beautifully glossy. We couldn't be happier. The change was truly transformational. And the shine coating applied to the stone tile surround on the fireplace was unbelievably gorgeous, bringing out all of the beautiful colors and texture of those stones. We had never imagined it could look that good! See the photos below. The third time we had Scott come out was to retouch that gorgeous hardwood floor which, for reasons that will remain unstated here, was scuffed within one week of the clean & polish by the couch legs. These were good 3 foot long scuff marks at least 1/2 in width, see the last photo below, if you dare. It makes me cringe. Doug was amazing, answering my frantic call about a quick fix on Sunday and working with me to fit in a visit when it worked for our schedule. Scott was amazing again when he came out-- he came out on short notice (two days later), cleaned and recoated a large fraction of the hardwood floor with their favorite shine product. The end result was that Scott's job blends perfectly at the edges and cured the scuff mark problem so that I can no longer tell where it was. Whew. Crisis averted! And since we had a lot of big and heavy furniture in the way, Doug and his guys set the legs up on foam block protectors or plastic circle protectors so that my husband and I didn't need to move anything for the full-house carpet cleaning. Doug's crews are meticulous and cautious, so they managed to do all of this work without crashing machines into our lovely wood furniture (a far cry from when I vacuum at home and the furniture takes a beating, in full disclosure). All of this work happened for fair prices, and the guys took care of us- providing a price break where they could afford to do so for the larger projects. Overall we could not be happier. I plan to call Doug and his guys when we need our next job done. I recommend you call Doug- you won't be disappointed!

They must be really busy because they were a week out when I scheduled. They sent two cleaners to my house. They told me that they would call me 20 min prior to them arriving so I could meet them at the house (since I don't live there). Unfortunately, they did not give me a ring but fortunately, I just happened to be there when they got there because I was worried this would happen. The two ladies did not speak any english at all and had to use a phone translator. They worked hard for 4 hours for a move out clean for a 1328 sq ft house. One of them asked me if everything looked good at the end- I saw quite a bit they missed but only pointed out a handful of things they missed that were still evidently dirty (eg. blinds, toilet, windowsills, stove, countertop)- she looked upset that I pointed these things out, didn't say anything and just went back to those rooms to address them. Since she seemed unhappy, I didn't mention the rest of the missed areas and cleaned the rest myself. I think they at least got 90% of it done which I heard is a win with cleaning companies. It would have been nice to get the 100% but I know they were tired and worked hard all day. They also left a dirty towel in the garage, two dirty towels outside the front door w/ a half empty water bottle, and a paper towel in the street. But overall, they cleaned the majority of the house well.

So here is my honest review: You would be better served using another company that operates with honesty and integrity! Filled out the project request for a move in/move out cleaning service on Yelp and listed the MAX number of bedrooms and bathrooms (4 or more) allowed on the survey. Photo included. I received an estimated quote (NO specifics were provided with the quote) and a follow up message asking if I needed appliances cleaned.  I specified the number of appliances and confirmed the date and time for service. The day of service I received a message with a higher than estimated cost (no cost breakdown was provided) and instructions to prepay. Towards the end of the service, I received a call asking me to check the work that had been completed and see if I needed anything else. It was at this time that I noticed one of the appliances that I had put in my original request (I showed the cleaners my text and later sent a screenshot to the company) was not completed. As the team was taking care of this, I started receiving messages from someone named 'Guy'. Guy tells me that I have to pay more for the additional appliance. Since I already paid more than the estimated quote, I didn't agree with this.  Then Guy tells me that my estimated quote was for a 4/4 bed/bath home followed by a screenshot of my Zillow home estimate showing 4 beds and 5 baths. When I put my information into YELP I put in the max bed/baths allowed. I reiterated this during our phone call. Now if the company's practice is to pull up Zillow home estimates, this should have been done BEFORE you sent me the amount due on the morning of service. PERIOD! YOU should have specified the number of beds/baths the estimated quote covered which would have given ME the opportunity to correct it if needed. This should not be used as an EXTORTION tactic to get more money at the end. Nor should this be used as an attempt to appear as though you gave me some kind of concession on the service. Nothing I've said in this review is inaccurate. Use the same approach you use with scammers when they try to 'continue the conversation' and keep you texting or on a call. Hang up and block. Overall, bad business practices. Hope this helps!

I…read morecalled Blue Spruce after I had another cleaning company do a terrible job cleaning my home before it was going on the market to sell. The Blue Spruce Maids did a great job, especially in comparison to who was there before them. After some additional construction, I called them to come out again and clean up the mess/dust left by the construction. **WOW!** The crew was Alisha, Eileen, Brittney, and Shannon and they did a fantastic job. They even let me know that there was a high window that they couldn't reach and so they scheduled a time to come back later and bring an extension to make sure that one was cleaned as well. That is customer service at its best! Even my realtor was impressed with the job they did, and she hires a lot of different cleaning companies. Once I am settled in my new house, I will be calling again. Thanks Blue Spruce Maids!

I bought a house in Denver recently and I'm pretty bummed that it's too far away for her to keep cleaning for us. They always did the kind of great job where the difference was always very obvious right when I walked back in the door. At the beginning I would "pre-clean" for them, but I was pregnant and after I had the baby my preparation for them really went downhill, and the quality of the cleaning didn't diminish at all. Lily always showed up herself with a team of women, and never "placed" or delegated like someone else suggested. The price was very reasonable for the number of people and our square footage. I'm referring to the same negative review again but I don't know why you'd complain about $150 for a first time clean for 3 women to clean a 4 bedroom house in Boulder. There is no way that a real "deep clean" would be only $50 per cleaner. I spent *hundreds* of dollars for a single deep clean of a much smaller space in San Francisco, so maybe I just have a warped sense of the value of money here.... in Boulder. Doubt that. Anyway, Lily was really easy to get a hold of and communicate with, so I can't imagine a situation where she held onto extra money without a way to quickly remedy it. She was also great about moving our time around (I always tried to give her 24 hours notice) because my work or doctor appointment or whatever schedule was pretty unpredictable around the time when my baby was born, and she never gave me any grief about inconveniencing her. One particular thing that impressed me was that the first time they came to clean, Lily handed me a $10 bill that had apparently fallen in the trash next to my nightstand. She could easily have pocketed it and I never would have known. The ladies also wouldn't let me leave my money on the table for them the first couple times because they wouldn't make any assumptions that cash lying around was meant for them, so I always felt they were very honest and careful about that kind of thing. The first time my husband and I went outside in the yard to get out of their way, but after a few times we'd leave the house and let Lily lock up behind her, and we never had any trouble. She's a very sweet, professional and conscientious lady and I really wish she'd bring her business down to Wheat Ridge......!
