Itto is the owner and head sushi chef and is super nice and very humble. He sometimes comes out to check on you to see how you like the sushi. Not a huge Sushi guy, but this was not good. Don't have ANYTHING tempura related. I ordered tempura shrimp and it was a greasy, gross, inedible mess. It came wrapped in onion rings (for whatever reason), but Burger King's rings are waaay better. Disgusting. I told the waiter Stefano they were inedible and I essentially got a shrugged "bummer" from him. The place was FREEZING. The bathroom was broken. Stefano forgot my order then when I told him he said, "Sure, I'll add that for you." He was busing a table when I asked him about it, and he was like, "Yeah, just a minute. I'm busy". My friends said don't get the crunchy "new york" something or other either. Inedible as well. Won't be back. read more

Sorry, I guess this restaurant is good for Utah Sushi? Had a Sunset roll here, not mush fish on this one, maybe because it was a Tues night and they had better pricing, but not better rolls. Most of the bargain rolls were pretty much filled with cream cheese, and pretend crab. Won't go back, unless I want to to eat rolls with filler and no fish. The Firebird Roll comes out wrapped in tin foil then they light it on fire and it like cooks it, tastes like if a sushi roll got freaking smoked oh my GOODNESS it was so good and it has salmon on it that tastes smoked too! Everyone at my table rated their rolls 8/10, 9/10, and 8/10, if only they got the Firebird Roll they would have said 11/10. We've heard a few people get excited and recommend Itto, so I was excited to try it. They gave great service and i'll come back to try other items, but won't reorder anything that we got this round. On recommendation we got the Firebird, Samurai, and Pink Lady. I really wanted to like it but they just weren't leaving me wanting the flavors again like food should (IMO). Sorry Itto! I really wanted to love this place after such great reviews, but I left underwhelmed. Don't get me wrong, the sushi is decently good. I would say on par with other places around. I would not say it's better than any of the others. They do have a variety of rolls that others don't and many will like the options available. But nothing that wowed. I will admit, I am not the greatest sushi rater as I don't love overly fishy tasting things. And the crab was strongly fishy. Although I would come back and try others. Hold that, the Heart Attack was really tasty. Brought the heat and really good. One of the reasons for a 3-star was that despite the poor guy's best efforts, the service was terrible. That would happen when they have only two people serving the entire restaurant. They seriously need to hire some help. They were very friendly though. Go ahead and try it out. You may love it. I was very happy with my experience. Everything seems fresh and the service was fast and friendly. My only complaint is that many of the rolls have imitation crab in them and it costs extra to substitute it for anything else. They were also out of most of their alcohol and the server said their beer on tap wasn't really good either. read more

Ittto Sushi is amazing. So, I ordered Itto sushi on New Years Eve, for delivery, and for whatever reason, the app made the order, charged my card and the order disappeared. I didn't know what was going on so I call the restaurant to see if they got my order, and waiter said yes they got the order, but it would take 2 hours since it was a busy night, so it would be faster to come in and eat... We had car issues, but the Worker called me to reassure that we would be eating there, after taking forever to get to the sushi place, we were served right away. And since the meal was already paid for, we didn't need to worry about it. Waiter told us that the order was made for Monday instead of right away ‍ But they used whatever we were already charged. The food was soooo good. I would definitely go back. The waiters were the best, especially because they were closing and still let us dine in. All of the sushi and Kaarage was amazing! read more

Itto Sushi is a yummy place to try if you are in the Orem area. They have several locations throughout Utah, but I highly recommend this location. They have a huge selection of sushi rolls to choose from, as well as nigiri. If you are up for trying a new fish, they have many options that are not usually offered at other restaurants. The sauces pair well with each fish, and none of the fish tastes "fishy", which shows how fresh it is. The photos show the Tokyo, 911, Hokkaido, and Uni nigiri. If your not big on sushi, they have noodles & bento boxes! I do want to mention that I wouldn't come when they are busy. We did have poor service I believe due to that, and our waiter was very pushy & a little rude. Hopefully the next time we visit, it will be different. read more

I like getting the firebird (the smoke salmon with tempra together is delicious) the sunset (salmon and lemon is amazing) the Romeo & Juliet (coconut shrimp and mango make it a sweet roll, it taste more like a desert, but love it). It may had been a bad night for sushi but we did not like Itto. We ordered salmon, tuna, and Negihama rolls, and a spider and sunrise roll. The fish was fishy and sliced very thinly with tons of rice that had no taste and was undercooked or hadn't been covered--it was just hard. The rolls were not well rolled and easily came apart. Service was not great either. Rolls came one at a time in big platters but when we would finish a roll, they wouldn't remove the platter the would bring more platters and just placed them wherever in our small table. We had to rearrange thing and stack the platters. Our soy sauce container was empty. I asked for it to be refilled and we waited. A few minutes later the server came to ask if we needed anything else, I had to remind her about the soy sauce. The place looks great but the sushi is very low quality and I won't be coming back. We LOVE this place. It's on the outside of the Orem mall which doesn't necessarily scream "great authentic sushi", but it really is!! The decor is very Japanese, great lighting and ambiance, perfect for date night, but they do have space for large parties. We are always greeted promptly and with big smiles and are seated right away. The rolls are amazing, fresh and very flavorful. Our favorites are Lion King, Alaskan and Mars. The lunch bento box was a great deal. I got the 3 piece sashimi and crunch spicy tuna roll combo, you also get salad, white rice and 2 piece gyoza. My husband and I are loyal fans of Asahi in Orem and Nori in American Fork. We rarely stray from these two joints as we are satisfied every time with the quality of sushi (We usually get the sweet Jesus and dynamite rolls). We had time for lunch today but couldn't drive all the way to north Orem so we figured we would try Itto because of the reviews. We were hopeful, but sadly really disappointed with the food. Gyozas were pretty terrible and cold, we were not fans of the Fire Bird roll (which is their most hyped up roll on reviews) and the Itto roll was sub par. I just came to itto for my first time today! I was very pleasantly surprised! We got the edamame, the firebird, and the Romeo and Juliet rolls. The edamame was a large serving and well salted. The firebird was set on fire and served warm. It had a kick to it but the flavor was excellent. The Romeo and Juliet was my favorite. If you love coconut shrimp and mango, this is the way to go. Food was delicious!, our server outstanding. My daughter forgot her entire ramen soup in a to-go container, called 8 minutes later on our way back and they simply said on the phone they don't see it... maybe it was thrown away. So, $80 order, 20% tip, and you are telling me nobody CARE ENOUGH to save it or to get that soup-to-go to us as we were leaving? (I saw 2 cleaning guys moving to the table as we left). My daughter was sad. We recognize own our forgetfulness mistake, but we have also experienced Japan's amazing customer service. Thank goodness I didn't forget my phone, wallet or jacket! read more
