Especially the salmon and ahi nigiri, they were very generous with the size and cut of the fish. The quality of the salmon and tuna was immaculate and tasted so fresh! My favorite roll was most definitely the Zachary Binks, the citrus you get from the lemon paired so well with the salmon. Also really enjoyed the "Dad's Favorite Son" it was so flavorful! 1 Star Extremely disappointing experience. I came in around 9:15 PM. There was a party eating outside and another couple who walked in after us was allowed to order first. Right away, the girl working the counter told us if we ate in, our food would still be served in to-go boxes -- which felt odd and unwelcoming. As we waited, several DoorDash drivers came in and out picking up orders, but no food was coming out for dine-in customers. We noticed the couple who ordered before us was still waiting too. After 30 minutes, I checked my phone -- still nothing. Another couple came in 20 minutes after us, decided to dine in, then stepped outside. By 42 minutes, the only people being helped were DoorDashers. At 45 minutes, I finally went to the front to ask what was going on. The girl seemed shocked and said, "Wow, that long?" She went to the back and suddenly returned with a stack of to-go boxes -- and handed us our food like it had just been made. But it was cold. I told her I didn't want it, and she insisted, "No, it was just done, I promise." No apology, no ownership -- and she refused a refund. Instead, she handed me some random voucher for "next time." I asked why another couple (who came in after us) already had their food. She lied and said they had come in earlier and were getting their food redone -- but we had watched the whole time. This place clearly prioritizes delivery apps over actual customers sitting in their restaurant. No accountability, no apology, just cold food after a 45-minute wait. Never coming back. read more

I never know what to order when it comes to sushi and I've never had been here before, on a whim I ordered the Sapphire Roll and it's probably my favorite roll I've ever had! I knew I would like all the ingredients but the quality and presentation was so much better than everywhere else I've been to. Cream cheese and avocado is normally hard and stiff but this roll they were soft and creamy. Sometimes I dislike eel sauce but I loved this one! It came in a delightful little box with a logo sticker and I regret not peeling it off and keeping it. The staff were nice and the service quick. I really enjoyed the whole vibe going on. I like their place. Its eclectic inside and having mario kart ready to play is fun. I assume the ceiling is original and I love that they kept it. I wish we would have ordered our food to stay because the vibe inside with the music was fun. We ordered half a dozen roles and it took about 25 minutes to get our order which isnt bad considering dinner time. The worker was really friendly. The menu offers a few unique dishes but a lot of the rolls seemed to have the same stuff in them. Avocado and cream cheese was in more than half of them. I liked the Zachary Binks and the Dylan from Vegas but the rest were disappointing and bland. The coconut curry roll was dry and didnt taste like curry. Only coconut. The panda dad dessert roll was interesting but it needed more coconut sauce and less chocolate sauce. I could tell the chocolate sauce they used was cheap, maybe even hershey syrup bleh. The curry gyoza were not great until I added what I think was the malt vinegar that came with. Thats an odd pairing but i should have trusted the process cause it went well together. There wasnt really anything that was really good or really bad about this place other than the staff being great and the inside of the restaurant being cute and different. read more

I don't want to find out I ordered fish paste (imitation crab) AFTER I pay for my food. It's better to be transparent on the menu to avoid having customers like myself feel like they were misled. Price was good but wouldn't have bought it at all if they were upfront about the unnatural ingredients and it's against the fda guidelines. We ordered 10 gyozas and 4 rolls, including: the Lonely Bro (my favourite), Dylan from Vegas, Phat Bro and the Plus Ultra. It was definitely enough for 2 hungry adults! I come here nearly every Saturday for their "happy hour" and have never been disappointed. I went for 30 Saturdays straight and not once has the sushi or the service disappointed. The environment, free water at your disposal and overall "vibe" of this place is something you won't find anywhere else. I commend the workers in the back for being so efficient while maintaining the quality of the sushi. They're the real heroes and I'd recommend this sushi spot to anyone who likes sushi. Online orders also are useless after 11pm so you have to drive there yourself and order. They will sass you but they're open until midnight for a reason. Make sure you lace up your shoes lest you lose one on the world's stickiest bathroom floor. The tunes they bump are out of this world. They do have the entire establishment closed up at about 11:30pm so just be aware of that. I'm stoked for my sushi tho. I checked it out and discovered it is in a strip-mall. I DO NOT eat sushi from places in strip-malls, so I went down the street to Bansai. They completely sucked for just getting into the place as they have a VERY rude little girl hostessing, and I was not one of her "peers," so she fully discouraged me from waiting for a table. So I went back down the street to 5-bros. But 5-sushi-bros generally sucks...and sucks badly. It looks like a failed burger joint from the 1970s. The "dining room" is dirty and gross. They HAD to have gotten those tables and chairs from a used/failed restaurant equipment dealer in Hoboken, New Jersey. Holy gawd is it gross. It has the charm of an old, neglected gas station men's room. The kid working the front just hands you a menu and expects you to know to walk around the corner to the dining room and grab any table. He literally handed me a menu and said nothing. These turkey's must have NEVER been to a real restaurant in their lives. NOT walking the patron to a table???? WTF!!! Eventually he came to take my drink order (they don't serve any wine, liquor, beer as its UTAH). I said how about if I give my food order at the same time to get things moving along as I have a dog out in the car waiting for me. He said "no. I'll come back for that." Okay............. I ordered the most basic possible maki. Maguro (tuna), Hamachi (Yellowtail) and Sake (Salmon). Junior brought the three plates. ONE plate had LITERALLY (as in fkg LITERALLY) a PEA-SIZED speck of wasabi, and about 2 square inches of ginger. I told the young brain surgeon that I would need M O R E wasabi and ginger. He looked FULLY stumped, but was a good boy and brought almost enough back with him. The fish was of complete trash-quality. Generally not fit for human consumption. The rice was actually properly cooked, but the rolling of the ensemble was laughable. I mean this "chef" even had to lay in patch wrap to hold his rolls together. Lemme cut this short(er) by saying STAY AWAY! They have not the slightest clue as to what they are doing. ALL THEY HAVE TO DO is GO TO A REAL SUSHI RESTAURANT somewhere....like VEGAS maybe and observe what is proper customer service and servitude. This is by far my favorite sushi place. I love the food and I love the atmosphere of the place. It has a random corner with Mario Kart set up and I love how random it is. The food is amazing as well and the hours of operation are great for late night sushi goers like myself. I went with my sister and her friend and we got 4 rolls to share. We were hungry and ate the whole meal quickly. Ordering was smooth and the waitress brought our food out much quicker than we anticipated. Would definitely go there again and again. our food was mid. we had to wait like almost an hour for our food and we kept switching between going inside and out because we were so bored. they didn't even have coloring books or pictures to look at. however the bathroom was elegant and had wonderful feng shai- my husband visited at least 6 times while we waited for our food and he said it was perfectly inspired by the japanese sans the bidet. our server was wonderful and friendly and the walk up drive thru window was unique and exciting. the porch and the plastic and the fairy lights kept us warm and had great ambience. the fish was raw and it was amazing. we will be back but we might bring our air fryer next time to cook the fish. 10/10 recommendation for a first date in provo read more

I only came here because my favorite sushi place was closed. But I figured I'd give it a shot. I ordered two rolls. My friend ordered two rolls. All different. We were eating at the restaurant. We waited for about 20 minutes. When we got our sushi, it was in paper boxes and the orders were all mixed up. I ended up eating a sushi roll that had vegetables I was allergic to included. It wasn't the roll I ordered. When I noticed the immediate reaction, I went to the counter to ask which rolls were which, but the staff had no idea. When I asked that they be remade and served correctly, I was told I'd have to pay for another meal. Then the ginger and wasabi were nowhere to be found. I finally noticed as I was leaving, that they were in plastic to go tubs on a rack by the door. There were no soy sauce containers for those dining in, just packets, and no dish to mix soy and wasabi. It looks like they cater to the carry-out crowd only. The sushi was sub-par. The rice did not stick together as it should which made for a complete mess of rice, seaweed, and other additions all mixed together like some kind of rice bowl. And then we paid $15 for each roll and only got 6 pieces that you couldn't pick up with your fingers, much less a pair of chopsticks. I will never eat here again. I'll stick with the professional staff, large rolls, and decent prices at Bonsai instead. read more

I don't treat sushi like a meal, more like an expensive treat. I don't make the skrilla necessary to get full on sushi. So the sushi is good, it's good sushi, but because it is to go, you gotta eat it quick, 15 minute old sushi isn't that great. One nice treat is they put a Hichew in the bag with your chopsticks, ginger and wasabi. Another nice touch is if your roll comes with eel sauce, they put it on the side so it doesn't sog up your roll, good job brothers.
