Location 4 stars: Located on the Universal City Walk is located in Universal City, California. It is part of the Universal Studios entertainment and shopping complex that includes the amusement park, restaurants, shops and a movie theater. You will need to use one of their parking structures. I usually use the "Jurassic" Parking which is fairly close to It's Sugar. You can enter the Universal Studios complex via Lankershim or Cahuenga Boulevards. At the time of my visit the fee was a prepaid $10 a day for standard self parking. They also offer "VIP?" self parking and valet parking but I have not tried them. No street parking. You can also do remote parking at the Metro Universal City/Studio City station lot for less, located across the street with a free shuttle or pedestrian bridge to City Walk. Venue 4 stars: Beautifully appointed with great props fr0om the candy world! Lots of photo ops. Huge selection of any candy you can ever imagine from all over the world! Please see the many pics that I have posted. Service 4 stars: Employees are polite and helpful. Prices 2 stars: Expected given their huge selection and the fact that they are in a touristy area, but $20 for one chocolate bar??? :D The Bottom Line 3 stars: Impressive store to visit, admire the selection, take a few pics, and every once in a while buy something for the nostalgia without breaking the bank :D. Great for tourists and visitors.
Wow what can I say? This place has all the candy and sweets i used to get from the ice cream man when I was a kid!! The ambience is casual as it's one of the stores on CityWalk at Universal studios! If you park in the garage it's about a five min walk and it's probably not crowded on weekdays before 6p (just a guess)! Service was great, a guy walked around and asked if we wanted samples! We told him no but there was so much to choose from it was hard to pick! It's wall to wall candy with selections from countries all over the world and an insane collection of snacks from the US as well from different eras! Please if you have a sweet tooth check this place out, you'll thank me, it's just the best!! I say 4.95 stars because they're slightly pricey but this isn't the ice cream man, they must pay an unreal amount of rent! When you consider their location the prices are just right!

Inside | Each time I spot an It'Sugar store, it automatically makes me smile! You can't help but feel happy while walking through! Life-sized items made of candy, international candy/sweets, larger than life sweets, cute plushies, Barbie-themed drinks, movie-themed items & all things fun! Colorful, bright & cheerful...and most of all, FUN! Customer Service | Friendly with each visit! Happy & cheerful employees! Thanks again, Ian! Also, thanks for offering my friends & I samples of Hi-Chew candy when we walked in, including a smooth checkout experience! Wicked | Yes, please! I immediately knew that I had to have the Wicked for Good Tumbler, sparkly & cute & perfect to take to the movie! Note | I miss having an It'Sugar here at Venice Beach on the Boardwalk! I always enjoyed shopping at the store, including getting gifts for friends & family! Overall | Always fun exploring It'Sugar, fun times & so much to see, always satisfying my sweet tooth! Let's go!
Located in City Walk at Universal Studios in Universal City. It's a place that sells sweets of all sorts. They have bins where you can place candy or sweets in a zip lock type baggie and then you pay for it at the counter. There is a lot to choose from and some cool things to see and look at. Overall if you got a craving for sweet snacks this is the place to stop at.
A 10lb sweet tooth always needs sweets. This was perfect. The most difficult thing we found was what to order. Huge selection of sweet treats & candy. More than enough here to sate my sweet tooth and probably most others.
Universal City Walk is a fun spot for this summer. Lots of shops and fun eats, and entertainments. What a cool Sugary spot! I got this beautiful hilarious cup for my delusional friend's birthday! Sure, it's a little pricey--but hey, it's CityWalk, and it's still cheaper (and way more fun) than grabbing candy inside the theater. What makes this place special is the sheer variety: endless sour belt flavors (my weakness!), classic old-school candies that spark instant nostalgia, and even jaw-dropping oversized treats that are just as fun to look at as they are to eat. Whether you're loading up a custom candy bag or just popping in for a sweet stroll down memory lane, it's worth a visit. Parents, fair warning--resisting temptation here is nearly impossible, because you'll end up wanting to grab something for yourself too! Quick shout-out to one of the employees who went above and beyond helping us hunt down cola gummies. They were out of the OG flavor, but he showed us a clever hack to snag a few from the assorted mix and even let me sample the other flavors. That little extra touch of customer service makes the candy run feel even sweeter. Every time I come in, the staff are just as friendly and helpful.
How can a place like It's Sugar have anything less than 5 stars? It's heavenly sweet on top of sweets. A variety of candies, jelly beans, chocolate, packaged candies, popcorn, cups, stuffed things, and loli pops, the choice is yours , they have something for everyone. Candy, candy and more candy. So many choices. store was packed. Staff was changing out older candy for fresher candy. Its mostly bulk candy but they had individual candies as well. Toys, some shirts. Perfectly located in the shopping and eating center outside Universal Studios. Had to grab the Dodgers Mix so we could enjoy them as we watched the last game of the World Series. Highly recommend if you're having a sweets craving.

Service has always been great! I literally feel like a child as soon as I walk in to this store. So many different candies from back in my childhood days. I am sure you will find what you are looking for when visiting. Store in general is well kept and clean.
This is a very late post but worth to review. A fun sweet spot at Universal Studios! This candy store is a must visit, especially for those with a sweet tooth. My son loves it, and we always make it a point to visit and indulge in sugar to start and end the day. The store is clean, organized, and overflowing with treats it's like being a kid again..and it's so easy to get lost in the store because so much to look at. It's become a tradition to visit whenever we're at the park.
Ugh, I would buy everything the store if I could. I used to take field trips here and we would get their sugar tubes, which you can't get anywhere else. They have such a variety of candy options, I end up spending about $80 for some packages of candy. I love the way the place is decorated, it's a candy land dream. The workers are always super helpful. They even have new trendy candies.

Low on stock of candy items. Looks like a sad candy shop that needed more candy and a restock. Gummies are stuck together, candybis sticky and stuck together, and my friend was looking for a particular candy and the associates weren't any help. Also, the prices here are outrageous! This was a sad and lackluster candy store. read more
We come here after leaving the every single time on Wok because it's humongous from the outside, colorful, the smell SMELLS like Halloween Night, and amazing! What a presentation! The candy oh my lanta you can basically get anything and everything candy related! I myself LOVE sour candy and in the middle of this place they have a sour ropes spot where you get a bag and go to each spot that have different flavored ropes I them. Are the bags getting smaller or is it just me getting more excited piling more up? They also have the same exact selection with CHOCOLATE anything chocolate!!! It's a dream come true they even have candy flavored drinks! If you like sour as much as I do and haven't tried sour soda or warhead fruit soda put it on your bucket list! They also have giant candy merch! They truly have it all and the workers are so sweet! There's truly nothing better being back at your hotel after a long day at universal with a big bag of candy I can promise you that, this place is the spot! read more

An amazing display of the characters in the Wizard of Oz made of jelly beans awes you as you walk into this mega candy store! There are bin candies to buy by the pound, carousels of sour candies, chocolate candies, gummies, or hard candies all for the choosing! There are also giant chocolate bars, giant boxes of candy, candy themed pillows, sweet soft drinks, candy by the decades, candy for a bachelorette party, rock candy, multiple sized jaw breakers, candy in cute containers, bagged candy, boxed candy, popular candy, obscure candy... Any candy and every candy you could want! There is always a line but it moves quickly! We visit every time we come to City Walk! It is centrally located on the way to Universal Studios or when you are strolling to see the dancing fountains, catch a movie or a nice dinner! read more

I wanted to stop by this store to look at their candy selection while we were waiting to be seated at a restaurant nearby. This place has a bunch of sugar candy to choose from so be ready to be amaze when you walk in. They have some free samples if you want to try them. The prices here are a little pricey but it's city walk so it's expected. The staff here are wonderful, if you have any questions then just go ask one of them. I saw the spicy gummy bear that people talk about but I didn't purchase it. I also saw some cereal gummies which looks delicious but my wife didn't want to buy it for me. read more
This location is located in City Walk at University City Hollywood. Immediately upon walking in, I noticed the beautiful sugar/candy sculpture! What a gorgeous display and well-stocked store to satisfy your sweet tooth if visiting Universal Studios Hollywood. There was several staff members to grab if you heart your heart set on something you didn't see. Loved grabbing something sweet to take back to the hotel. read more

When I walk in.... literally feel like kids in the "candy store"!! Some of the candies are so rare to find at other candy stores. The selections are unbelievable. They expanded the store during pandemic. They used some of their storage room. So now more merchandise to shop!! You can't find to take photos inside the store. I especially love the jellybeans status. How creative that is!!! If you have sweet tooth like me, you will absolutely love this store!!! read more
Who doesn't love a humongous candy store packed with every candy imaginable and fun retro novelty gifts? I always love coming here. The bright colors and fun atmosphere always make me happy. The 70s and 80s items bring back great memories and make me feel young again. My visit was on a Monday evening so it was not crowded and my visit was leasurely. The store was well organized and well stocked. Customer service was readily available and friendly. Prices were reasonable. read more
It's sugar will always be a go to location for me and my children whenever we visit city walk. The store is full of classic candy. My son loves this place. I don't eat as much candy like I used to but when I went in there and saw that they had Chico sticks I had to grab a couple. It's difficult to find Chico sticks. That's my all time favorite candy. My son was tempted to get the scorpion lollipop just to save it. He was adamant about not trying the crickets. I wonder do people really purchase those. The customer service was ok. There was not much interaction with the customers unless the customer asked a question. The ambiance was like being in a real life candy land. So nostalgic! read more
IT'SOOOO MUCH CANDY IT'SWEET and colorful IT'S$$$ though This is in Universal Citywalk so pricing is what it is, you're also paying for the "experience" I guess if you're filling up your own bags to different lines of Sugar Rush. Just walking around the store is a treat with such variety and the jelly bean sculptures are impressive. Areas are grouped and organized pretty well. They need to get their A/C working. Candy might melt being so warm inside. They have portable units blowing cool air setup inside that have these chutes. Don't reach in unless you really want to chill your arms read more

One day, I walked into this huge oasis of a candy store. I could die here and be ok. Stick me into the gummy bears. All of them. I could not believe the flavors here. Maple Bourbon, Gin and Tonic, Banana... etc. The gummies are the first thing you see in huge bins as you walk in. I knew I was in trouble. For $29 worth. But, I knew it would be pricey. Candy stores are expensive by the bulk lb. They also had my fave hot jalapeno gummies that I can usually only find at the Grove. So good..so fresh. And I did not see one person with their mitts in the candy. That is gross, people! Use tongs, always! Staff was friendly . It was very busy so the wait in line was indeed excessive but these treats are worth it. They had everything you could want here as far as candy goes and all the color in this place is truly happy and uplifting. Clean too given the sheer volume of people. read more
This is located in the City Walk part of Universal Studios. What a fun store! It is wall to wall candy. Lots of favorites new and old. There is a bulk bin in the middle of various sweets as well. Prices are reasonable. There are plenty of oversized candies. You can buy a cereal box full of gummy bears for example. Lots of novelty items. Hubs bought a Bob Ross energy drink. I asked him if he was going to drink it, he says probably not, he just likes the can, lol. So yeah lots of eye candy, literally!! read more
