Rating: 8/10 Great variety of Swedish candy, quick and easy! Friend and I came on a Friday around 1PM. Only street parking, which can be difficult; however, it's super close to the Grove, so if you were already at the Grove, you can walk over within 5 min! Not too busy at all. The staff showed us how to grab candy with clean scoops. Every pound is 17.99, which sounds expensive but if you're getting a mindful amount, it's not too pricey. Friend and I's were about $11.50 and $13.50 for a good amount of candy that will last us days. Some candies tasted good, others not so much. The marshmallows were not to our taste, but we loved the Cola sour gummies. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area for some yummy specialty candy!

Been here several times for my d. One of favorite Swedish candy store. And apparently, famous in tiktok. Couple times they ran out of skull or bubs. That's what everyone want Place is clean. People is very nice. Price by weight per lb Parking: free street parking

I am OBSESSED with Sockerbit!!! Stopped in while in LA because Dana Bowling recommended them on one of her livestreams. Went into the store and purchased a mixed bag of sweet gummies. Loved them SO much that I made my sister stop at the store on our way to LAX for my flight home. The staff is super sweet and helpful and the store is well laid out and adorable! I sing the praises of Sockerbit to anyone who will listen and plan to stop in anytime I'm in LA

Ordered online. Been loving on them for over 15 years. Rambos are delish in any form. licorice coins can be very chewy and stick to teeth. Bubs are a fail for me, not liking the subdued flavors or texture.

I love Swedish Candy as it has no artificial dyes and the texture of their candy is like no other. There are a variety of options to choose from, however, if you're looking to grab the viral Bubz Candy, they are solely separately in their own pre scooped baggies. My friend did pick one up and we got to try them. I think my bag was around $11 for the weight I scooped. They have so many fun different shapes and samples if you're into black licorice (not a fan, personally). I had a great time for such a small little candy shop. It's a great alternative for your sweet tooth and I find them fascinating than American candies! Everything was stocked neatly and organized/clean. The only annoying part was reaching for the scoop and lifting the bar. I would highly recommend Sockerbit for anyone looking to try Swedish candy!

Sockerbit is such a cute little Swedish candy shop -- super clean, bright, and definitely feels more curated than your average candy store. Everything is sold by weight, so you can mix and match and grab as much (or as little) as you want... just be careful, it adds up fast. The candy itself is fun to try -- lots of unique gummies, sours, chocolates, and of course, the salty licorice if you're feeling adventurous. That said, not everything is a winner. Some of the candies definitely have that vitamin gummy vibe, which isn't really my thing, but that's part of the experience. It's a little hit or miss depending on what you pick. Overall, it's a fun stop if you want to try something different or get your gummy fix. It's a cute spot, just be ready to experiment (and maybe accidentally grab something that tastes like a multivitamin gummy).

these candies have the same texture as swedish fish, so if you enjoy those, you just might really like these not all candies are the same - they also have marshmallow texture and sour patch texture my personal fave is the watermelon rolls they were sour on the outside but sweet and had a soft chewy bit on the inside me personally there was only 1 that i really liked :( they also have soda, chocolate etc along the other side of the wall but everyone comes here for the candy it's a self serve candy shop, like ur average self serve candy shop with a spoon and a paper bag the vibe is a little off felt a hella eerie on the day that i went, but maybe it was just a that day thing service is good, the area is right next to the grove so if u ever stop by def give sockerbit a try! they are a bit pricey so plan for that too

The perfect place to get your gummy fix! There's a wide range of gummies all with different textures. I, myself am a huge cola gummy fan, I only got cola flavor items. Each gummy had its own unique texture, from incredibly chewy, to sticky, fizzy, soft and bouncy. I enjoyed trying each texture and now know which ones I'd come back for. The price is very reasonably set. The process is very quick and easy, from scooping to purchasing. It wasn't as busy as I thought it would be and I'm so glad I tried it!

If I'm in the area we always make a stop at sockerbit. If you gummy candies this is your spot. The best! All of them are yummy. I love and highly recommend any of the skulls. My favorite is the sour berry skulls ( the white and pink ones). So addictive. Also I don't feel so guilty since it doesn't contain a lot junk the other gummy candies have like red 40. It's non GMO and has no HFCS. Super expensive if you buy online with shipping costs so I like to visit every so often.

So many different types of candy to choose from!! This was a fun experience and I definitely recommend people to come try it out! The workers were super friendly and welcoming. They give you your own clean scooper and you get to choose your own candy. I got one of everything so I can't remember which one was my favorite but there was definitely no "bad ones". I can't wait to go back! Note: It is only paid street parking so you might have to circle around a few times to find a parking spot.

Candy, Candy, and more Candy! What's not to like? First off, they have an immense selection of Swedish candy, as you would expect, but when I visited, they didn't have all the ones that my friend and I wanted from the website. That being said, staff was super friendly and was able to even get some of our selections from the back. Once you enter, grab a paper bag and start filling it with all the candy you want. It is self-scoop / serve and don't be shy if you need another bag since the candies can get pretty heavy. Once you're done, they ring you up and they charge by the pound. Interior is clean and there's a lot of foot traffic in and out when I was there. Parking can be a challenge since there's only street parking available (metered).

Laura C.

Parking: Read the signs and you can find free neighborhood parking within a few blocks if you don't want to find a meter on 3rd St Experience: I got there right around 11am when it opened on a Monday and the store was already starting to get crowded. They were out of some of their more popular candies but there were still a lot to choose from. The main wall had all the gummies and then the other wall had licorice. You grab a bag and a candy scooper, fill up your bag, then pay by weight. I got a small bag for $8 which I didn't think was too bad, but I definitely see how it can get expensive. Definitely a fun place if you like non-chocolate candy/gummies.

Highland Park

Galco's will forever hold a special place in my heart…read more This is the OG grocery store we would walk to in the early 80"s. When they had penny candy machines, a big taxidermy deer head and the kindest owner. He once gave me and my sibling a big paper lunch bag full of candies! I love seeing the original check out stand, the little upper office where the owner would stand and the old fridge area where it once held fruits and veggies now old school candy bars. If you grew up in highland park in the 80s, this was the local market. How I miss those days! Highland Park is so different now! Btw Galco's makes some of the best sandwiches! Also if anyone knows where to get Stoney Tangawizi please let me know!

First: I used to love this place. As a fellow small biz…read moreowner nearby, I supported and promoted this place as one of the long standing coolest stores on the Eastside. It has such a selection of candy from your childhood, and for kids, random unique gifts to keep them busy. but yesterday...all that flew out the window. I approached the sandwich counter and asked the person working (an angry woman apparently) what her favorite sandwiches are. After she took a minute to complain about how she had been making sandwiches all day and her brain is fried and she didn't really have any recommendations for me (and was seemingly annoyed at me even asking) she looked at the clock and advised that I was 2 minutes too late to order a hot sandwich. literally the 2 minutes she took to complain about her job cost me the sandwich. now, if it was my shop and a nice family came in and asked me my opinion on something and I took a minute or two to say the things that she said I would give them a sandwich and make that sandwich be the last sandwich of the day, but instead apparently my money wasn't green enough for her. She shut it down and two minutes later was out the door. she was rude, and honestly it just seemed that she didn't give an F. Today I called the store to speak with the owner and the person who answered the phone gave me the runaround. it was clear that either the workers didn't want to connect me with the owner or the owner doesn't want to hear the complaint. this place has gone downhill.
