This place is amazing, they sell various sweets and Anime merchandise, the cashier is nice, friendly and professional. They repackage candies into smaller plastic bags (about a quarter pound) to make them affordable, they charge by weight around $3.50/pound The place is kept nice and clean. read more

Came in here for Trading cards, unfortunately, this place is a rip off. One piece heroine's english packs are $10 this place charges $20, azure sea's seven is $7 and charges $18. After asking how much a box is, they quoted me at price per pack times the number of packs. So a box of heroine's is $480 but the box is $340. I wouldn't support this business unless it was for candy. Even then, read the reviews regarding the candy. The only positive note i have is that the person that was there answered my question without attitude. Know what you're buying and how much it you should be paying. I have been coming here for several years and have never been disappointed by either the merchandise or the service. Jay and Sam are some of the most wonderful people I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. They always remember our names and make us feel right at home in the store. I love the candy selection! My boyfriend likes sour candies and this store has plenty. I like chocolate, and they have plenty of that, too. They have a really great assortment of novelties as well! I am always excited to see what new One Piece stuff they have in store. This is a really, really great place with an excellent vibe. We went to get candy from this store before a movie. The candy was beautifully packaged and the woman behind the register was very helpful. The prices were very fair which is hard to find in the city. There were lots of wonderful selections that you can't find anywhere else. This is an amazing shop, filled with lots of different candies and snacks. This place also has a collection of Japanese collectables that you don't find in regular toy shops. They have Sonny Angels, Pokemon cards and even Smiskis! There is usually a sweet curly brown haired Hispanic person that usually works in the daytime and she is very helpful. My only harp about this place is during the evening time, there was an Asian girl with long black hair who was flirting with two Asian guys behind the counter. She was sitting on his lap while helping customers and another Asian dude was standing with them behind the counter. I'm not sure if they worked there because they did not help us when we had questions. It was kind of weird when I asked about what smiskis they had for sale and they said everything they had was already displayed on the counter. Simultaneously one of the guys behind the counter hid two boxes of smiskis that they claimed they did not have from the top of the table to behind it. And while we were paying for the smiskis we chose from the counter, he took them out in front of us almost like to gloat. It made me feel like they were lying about what actual stock they had. I get it if someone purchased a product before I was able to get it but wow! He had not even purchased it because he was asking the Asian girl if he "should buy it now or wait." And when my friend who was buying smiskis got excited about seeing the series that he pulled out, he immediately hid it again and told us they don't have the series he had in his own hands. What if us paying customers wanted to buy it? Talk about gate keeping. Also the Asian girl and the two Asian boys behind the counter were joking that they were going to "sell an empty blind box for 300 dollars to a customer." They were saying this in front of us and it made the whole vibe feel very shady. Family owned & worth every penny. They've got the best sour belts & chocolate covered treats. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember and it is ALWAYS worth a visit. Since mid 2020, the candy's pre-packed, but it's a perfect serving of each. (Especially if you plan to take it to the theaters.) I don't get the old reviews with negative comments. I only spent $6 and got three different packs of candy. I like the vibe inside, I don't care that it's dated, it feels like A CANDY SHOP. Not like some NYC extravagant corporate candy place. I like that it's probably family owned and the dark chocolate covered espresso beans are awesome! I love the giant Snorlax and waiting for the day when I cave and buy him. I'm hoping they make it through Covid. They are being super safe and provide hand sanitizer and gloves at the entrance. Nice selection of cute plushies as well. My son loves coming by. Can't speak to the fruit flavored candies as thats not my jam but they have an amazing selection of jelly belly beans! Regarding refunds--I wouldn't really expect one from such a small shop especially if most are paying $15 max. I am feeling very ripped off and taken advantage of right now. I was calling around looking for candy canes. I was happy to find Burbank had a cute candy store, I love supporting small business and I had been looking for a candy store like this. I picked out 6 candy canes. I was charged $9.50. It was obvious these were candy canes not sold from Last year, I am sure they are well over a year old. The label on them says they are from CVS and expired 5 months ago! (pretty sure candy canes last a few years) She charged me $1.50 and $175. per candy cane for expired candy that I can't give to kids to eat now. (these were average size candy canes, nothing special) I am someone on a strict budget, so spending $9.50 on expired candy is a bit steep for me. These candies were displayed on the floor at the end of the store, obviously not a desired candy. They should have been steeply discounted not a ridiculous price like this. I had planned to buy more candy for myself and co-workers, but when I saw what she charged me I left the store. I then went back because she forgot to give me the receipt. She thought I wanted it to get re-imbursed from a business. This made me think she over charged me because she thought I worked for a tv show or something like that. Nope, i'm just an average person who wanted to take a photo with candy canes for Christmas cards. I love small business, but taking advantage of people because you know they want a product gives small business a bad bad name. Not only did I not buy any more candy, I will never go back there, I will find another candy store. Those should have had a price point of .75 cents each max. really less since they were expired and therefore not even edible. I am extremely disappointed in this business.
