This place is amazing, they sell various sweets and Anime merchandise, the cashier is nice, friendly and professional. They repackage candies into smaller plastic bags (about a quarter pound) to make them affordable, they charge by weight around $3.50/pound The place is kept nice and clean. read more

I just stopped in briefly the other night, and found their candy selection to be good, very fun, and some nice little novelties and toys as well. Small shop, but clean and well lit. Staff was nice. I didn't end up buying anything, but just because I didn't really need any candy or toys at that moment. maybe next time. Conveniently located and there are free parking lots nearby. read more

Highly recommend stopping in and checking this place out. Also best to buy your candies from here before watching movies at the AMC - they have a wider variety to choose from! Also they have more than just candies! Great place for snacks and gifts! The cashier was friendly and even helped me choose between all the Dubai chocolates! Came in here for Trading cards, unfortunately, this place is a rip off. One piece heroine's english packs are $10 this place charges $20, azure sea's seven is $7 and charges $18. After asking how much a box is, they quoted me at price per pack times the number of packs. So a box of heroine's is $480 but the box is $340. I wouldn't support this business unless it was for candy. Even then, read the reviews regarding the candy. The only positive note i have is that the person that was there answered my question without attitude. Know what you're buying and how much it you should be paying. Don't get scammed by this place. read more

Do not shop for Pokémon cards here, lol. They do sell them which I will give them points for, but the owners are obviously very greedy. Charizard UTB at $250, etbs at all over 100 . I asked the gentleman behind the counter why the prices were so high, his answer was." our customers are desperate." Pretty terrible and greedy way to run your business imo. read more

I have been coming here for several years and have never been disappointed by either the merchandise or the service. Jay and Sam are some of the most wonderful people I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. They always remember our names and make us feel right at home in the store. I love the candy selection! My boyfriend likes sour candies and this store has plenty. I like chocolate, and they have plenty of that, too. They have a really great assortment of novelties as well! I am always excited to see what new One Piece stuff they have in store. This is a really, really great place with an excellent vibe. We went to get candy from this store before a movie. The candy was beautifully packaged and the woman behind the register was very helpful. The prices were very fair which is hard to find in the city. There were lots of wonderful selections that you can't find anywhere else. Its been many years since the last time I've stepped into this place. Can't tell if its a different name from years ago or if it is the same place but Sweety's gots the sweets for you. Since I'm not all into sweets as I used to be I can still say that this place delivers. What interested me the most was all the Pokémon plushes that were along the window and throughout the store. This is an amazing shop, filled with lots of different candies and snacks. This place also has a collection of Japanese collectables that you don't find in regular toy shops. They have Sonny Angels, Pokemon cards and even Smiskis! There is usually a sweet curly brown haired Hispanic person that usually works in the daytime and she is very helpful. My only harp about this place is during the evening time, there was an Asian girl with long black hair who was flirting with two Asian guys behind the counter. She was sitting on his lap while helping customers and another Asian dude was standing with them behind the counter. I'm not sure if they worked there because they did not help us when we had questions. It was kind of weird when I asked about what smiskis they had for sale and they said everything they had was already displayed on the counter. Simultaneously one of the guys behind the counter hid two boxes of smiskis that they claimed they did not have from the top of the table to behind it. And while we were paying for the smiskis we chose from the counter, he took them out in front of us almost like to gloat. It made me feel like they were lying about what actual stock they had. I get it if someone purchased a product before I was able to get it but wow! He had not even purchased it because he was asking the Asian girl if he "should buy it now or wait." And when my friend who was buying smiskis got excited about seeing the series that he pulled out, he immediately hid it again and told us they don't have the series he had in his own hands. What if us paying customers wanted to buy it? Talk about gate keeping. Also the Asian girl and the two Asian boys behind the counter were joking that they were going to "sell an empty blind box for 300 dollars to a customer." They were saying this in front of us and it made the whole vibe feel very shady. Very unprofessional to be sitting on a boys lap while behind the counter and mocking customers right in front of them. read more

I typically do not mind paying higher prices to support a small local business, but this place is insane. The candy is definitely not fresh (probably due to low sales because of the insanely high prices), but they're also scalpers! They buy Sonny Angels, Smiskis, etc online and more than DOUBLE the price to sell! They're not legitimate licensed retailers at all. It's so gross. Skip this place and their sketchy practices. read more

I'm sweet on Sweety's! This diamond in the not even rough shines bright near AMC, Ike's Sandwiches and US Bank off Palm Ave... Located in all thing Downtown Burbank and just behind the new Finney's Crafthouse & Kitchen (sportsbar) restaurant . When you think candy store you think all the nostalgic favorites as well as fill up that bag to the lbs.... But Sweety's Candies also has soft drinks and beverages not to mention collectibles such as plush stuff animals in l front and a few decorative places throughout their store... We used to live down the block from this spot and it was our go to for chamoy candies and other sweets. The family that owns the shop is always super friendly. We now drive at least 30 minutes to stop by sweetys but that doesn't ever stop us. This place has something for everyone. I am not usually huge on sweets but my partner loves them. Was really nice but the candy I had was hard and chewy I asked if I could get a new bag of candy and he said no then I asked if I can exchange for equal value and he said no. That kinda was a bummer even though I spent 19$ in here on candy for my sisters. He then proceeded to check the bad for the bad candy and said only One gummy worm was chewy and refunded me 25 cents for the bad worm. read more

Family owned & worth every penny. They've got the best sour belts & chocolate covered treats. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember and it is ALWAYS worth a visit. Since mid 2020, the candy's pre-packed, but it's a perfect serving of each. (Especially if you plan to take it to the theaters.) They sell not only sweet treats, but a lot of cute trinkets/plushies that you can gift yourself or a loved one. Definitely worth a visit! read more

I don't get the old reviews with negative comments. I only spent $6 and got three different packs of candy. I like the vibe inside, I don't care that it's dated, it feels like A CANDY SHOP. Not like some NYC extravagant corporate candy place. I like that it's probably family owned and the dark chocolate covered espresso beans are awesome! I love the giant Snorlax and waiting for the day when I cave and buy him. I'm hoping they make it through Covid. They are being super safe and provide hand sanitizer and gloves at the entrance. Nice selection of cute plushies as well. My son loves coming by. Can't speak to the fruit flavored candies as thats not my jam but they have an amazing selection of jelly belly beans! Regarding refunds--I wouldn't really expect one from such a small shop especially if most are paying $15 max. Honestly, I've walked inside to browse without buying (they're still super polite) so many times that I've love to just hand them $20 which I prob will when Covid calms down. read more

Overpriced, omg! But I guess with competitors like Sugarfina, and what not, they have to amp their prices ($2.75 /lb). I have to admit that at least the candy tastes and looks fresh. They don't carry very many unique chocolate bars or candy from foreign countries. Some more lighting would hurt! read more

I love this little store! It has candies that I ate as a kid and also some I never knew existed. And they also sell cute things like Pokemon plushies, anime and K-pop keychains and accessories. I was told no pictures allowed in the store. Small little candy shop with several selections of chocolates, gummies, gum, and several other candies. Store also had random items like stuffed animals. Staff seemed to have a staring problem as they couldn't keep their eyes off me or my daughter. Weirded me out a bit, and couldn't wait to pay and get out. I work nearby and would always come here to buy the thai tea. Unfortunately they don't have it anymore but I still come to look and shop and love the place. Have interacted with the people that work there and are very nice. Would recommend if you love sweets and anime ! read more

I am feeling very ripped off and taken advantage of right now. I was calling around looking for candy canes. I was happy to find Burbank had a cute candy store, I love supporting small business and I had been looking for a candy store like this. I picked out 6 candy canes. I was charged $9.50. It was obvious these were candy canes not sold from Last year, I am sure they are well over a year old. The label on them says they are from CVS and expired 5 months ago! (pretty sure candy canes last a few years) She charged me $1.50 and $175. per candy cane for expired candy that I can't give to kids to eat now. (these were average size candy canes, nothing special) I am someone on a strict budget, so spending $9.50 on expired candy is a bit steep for me. These candies were displayed on the floor at the end of the store, obviously not a desired candy. They should have been steeply discounted not a ridiculous price like this. I had planned to buy more candy for myself and co-workers, but when I saw what she charged me I left the store. I then went back because she forgot to give me the receipt. She thought I wanted it to get re-imbursed from a business. This made me think she over charged me because she thought I worked for a tv show or something like that. Nope, i'm just an average person who wanted to take a photo with candy canes for Christmas cards. I love small business, but taking advantage of people because you know they want a product gives small business a bad bad name. Not only did I not buy any more candy, I will never go back there, I will find another candy store. Those should have had a price point of .75 cents each max. really less since they were expired and therefore not even edible. I am extremely disappointed in this business. Bad business ethics. read more

Gummies are stuck together, candybis sticky and stuck together, and my friend was looking for a particular candy and the associates weren't any help. Also, the prices here are outrageous!
