The store is full of expired products, and many items (salads, sausages, confectionery) have no expiration date labels. After work one evening, I bought Korean-style carrots, cooked a dish, and when I started eating, I realized the carrots were spoiled! I wasted a lot of other ingredients besides the carrots--and most importantly, my time. I came back a few weeks later, and the situation hadn't changed. Do not choose this store if you don't want to risk getting food poisoning!

My go to Armenian market when in Burbank. The store is big and well stocked. They carry a lot of imported items from Armenia such as jams, juices, cookies and more. The produce department is always organized and has fresh produce. It never disappoints. The meat department is clean, well taken care of and has a lot of marinated meat ready to cook. Not too crazy about the deli selection but it doesn't matter to me cause I don't buy a lot of cold cuts. The only thing I get from the deli is olives and cheese. Customer service is ok Parking lot is big

I just went to Red Top Market & Kitchen, but didn't need to buy anything. The grocer is open through the pandemic. It's walkable distance from me, but driving is actually highly recommended by the legislators for safety reasons. The parking lot is small. They have plenty fresh meats, produce, pantry staples and breads. Everything is selling fast. The merchandise boxes are constantly been cut and stacked for pickup. A neighborhood grocery store for me. Be careful. Stay safe and strong... Shop locally.

Between a ciabatta loaf, it is different and non-traditional. It tastes fatty and hearty as Pastrami should be. It is evenly seasoned and paired with a modern twist; they call their pepper relish. Portioned as a single serving, it is not your deli-sized sandwich like it should be. Other sandwiches and savory items are equally creative and of good quality. There is no doubt that there is great-tasting food here, and you can notice the attention to detail. Unfortunately, you will spend a premium here. Feeling the pinch is as lacking as the need for a nice, fluffy Rye with a crispy crust.

It was actually a collaboration with three Filipino breweries in LA. We really enjoyed the beer here and ended up doing three rounds. Of course we had the Jollibeer, which is a Peach Mango Lager. Their ube-flavored drinks are also really good, so we tried the Ube Macapuno Porter. Their calamansi drinks are amazing too, so we had Lola's Wit, a Belgian Wit with calamansi and coriander. They also have some interesting Japanese beers like Yasuke, a Matcha Black Lager, and Kanpai Krush, a Sushi Rice Lager. I'll definitely be back for more of their great tasting beer. As a bonus, they also have disc golf. One of the employees was really cool and even let us take some discs home.

I do appreciate the know-how of the bartender/brewer in their knowledge of the beer they brew here as well. The ambiance is cohesive and family safe. There are plenty of folks from the movie industry kicking back at this place, a trivia night, families hanging out; the vibe is chill here. A Food truck is generally always around. The one downside is their parking situation isn't super big. Their location is basically in a large garage warehouse, but it's very well put together. The expanded available parking in just nearby under the overpass which could use some lighting but it's only a few yards away from the friendly-establishment. I'll never say no to this place to visit a friend for a solid pint of beer. Good stuff Brewyard!

It was founded in 1970 and upon entering,…read moreit certainly feels dated but there's something to be said about all the colorful and varied produce that's neatly displayed down its narrow aisles, almost like a Wes Anderson film. Imagine rows of radicchio, rainbow chard, exquisite endive, squash blossoms, sunchokes and artichokes, fennel with their fronds tangled in long red chilies surrounded by pungent herbs like perilla, lovage, tarragon. An extra star just for that. But... My only gripe is their weekly Saturday BBQ. Through the years I have enjoyed both kinds of ribs, the brisket, sausages, turkey and chicken that they cook and smoke right outside in the parking lot. Even if you don't see it, you'll smell it within a couple blocks. I can't think of a better way to promote a bbq business and Handy Market knows it. They're counting on all the new customers who get lured in by the intoxicating scent of grilled meats on live fire to try this sad, sorry excuse that they call BBQ. All the meats are dry, tasteless and overcooked. They do not season any of the meat, not even a lick of salt. They want you to buy their sugary bbq sauce and baste them on the grill. Meaning you still have to finish cooking it at home but it was tasty enough and the price was low so it was worth doing for many years. Lately though, it's been expensive and inedible. The quality of all the meat has become sus and I was sold the driest beef ribs with texture like leather, that they probably dug up from the back of a freezer and a smelly turkey leg that's left over from like, Thanksgiving. My homemade bbq sauce could not save either meat and suffice to say I will never order barbecue from here again. What's happened to you, Handy Mart? I just can't believe you've slipped so far. This is the worst bbq in all of LA and I cannot recommend anyone eating here. Those brave souls who do not heed this cautionary tale cannot say you haven't been warned. Good luck.
