Stopped by this spot after years of walking exercising my self control to the max ignoring the sugar craving. Well, it is going to be easy to ignore it from now on since it was not a great experience. The candy except for the retro section was not that appealing. The employee seemed bored and entirely disinterested in helping customers. Pass!

Whatever you do, do NOT get their mystery box. Barely $10 worth of product for $30 AND more than half of it was melted and I had to throw it away. An absolute waste of money. What a ripoff

So yummy!

I came here during a family vacation with my sister and niece to explore what San Jose malls have to offer. It my sister and I several times to find this shop as the San Jose mall is huge. Once inside you are in Candy heaven. I always wondered how they keep the candy fresh people are constantly letting air in yo grab their candy. I sampled quite a few...there wasn't a sign that said customers couldn't...but even if it did I would still sample before I load up my candy. My niece and sister were going candy crazy in the store. They had candies from different countries which I thought was cool. They had LARGE Reese cups and other huge name brand candies. I am not really a candy person these days as I am trying to cut back on my sugars. Therefore, I didn't leave the store with a bag of candy like my niece and sister. Anywho I got joy of making them happy and dealt with their sugar rush back to the hotel. Definitely, a must stop for sure if you want to go candy crazy and your kids! I enjoyed sampling and looking at all the unique candies.

Such great service! Staff here were helpful, friendly and bubbly:-) When I walked passed this place , I saw this adorable Hello Kitty wearing a chick costume holding a Cup Noodles through the windows , I just had to get it. A bit pricey, $35 but it's too cute to pass it. A friendly staff told me they had a piggy version(costume ) too but got sold out. With covid , the shipments have been slow and delayed, he said. So I'm glad I got one ! There were only two left after I got it. This is such a cute store with varieties of candies, plushes and toys. One of my favorite stores at Valley Fair.

I love to bump into IT'SUGAR shops. They're always so fun, location to location. However, this one is super mediocre with a terrible layout. Whoever decided this should be a location was probably desperate for a space. Not much to offer as it's so tiny, and the line curves around into the important bits of the store, making it super annoying for both browsing customers and people ready to pay. I still bought stuff, but it was not the same experience. Staff was meh, which is also unusual. Too bad.

Unfortunately I can't share the enthusiasm of the other reviewers regarding It's Sugar. While doing a spot of shopping in the Mall this place immediately caught my eye and naturally seeing all the rows of candy the kid in me just couldn't resist and I just HAD to go in and have a look. They have a decent sized selection of goodies, Pez, Pop Rocks, M&M's, Jelly Belly, Jolly Rancher and Nerds to name a few. There's also bins of various candies and chocolates where you Pick and Mix your own but the quality?.. Gah! Pretty damn nasty if I'm completely honest. Very cheap ingredients (despite the price tag) and texture is either rubbery or like wax. I did spot the cutest Hello Kitty Pez dispenser ( http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/4g3vdHKdqfFbmE3bFhOKwA?select=XrFbM6jtnxZEYjjYRZMR7w ) in here though along with some fun looking candy Bra/GString combo ( http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/4g3vdHKdqfFbmE3bFhOKwA?select=VADYUgGUNJA1LVDW02FBYQ ) which are made from the same sweets as those cute elasticated necklaces you used to get as a kid. My advice? If you REALLY want to shop here stick to the packets/boxes of sweets and avoid the bins. You'll thank me later :)

I ordered my favorite, dark chocolate almond clusters, as well as English toffee, chocolate peanut clusters, almond bark, and chocolate hazelnuts. It was delivered quickly and everything was nicely individually packaged. The two squares of English toffee I ordered were like two bricks. Massive and covered in powdery almond pieces. They tasted good, but were too hard and thick. I prefer smaller pieces of toffee rolled in larger pieces of almond. I wasn't too impressed with the almond clusters or bark, either. It tasted okay and had lots of almonds in each bite, but the dark chocolate was overly sweet and tasted like the type of chocolate used in grocery store candy bars, even though they make it right there. The dark chocolate peanut clusters were the best item. They had a wonderful touch of salt that was so delicious. I would definitely go back for more of those. Next time, I'd like to try a caramel apple and chocolate dipped strawberries. Both look scrumptious on their website.

The employee, Livia did not even greet us when we walked in. While we were still browsing, she went ahead and scanned all the items we had placed on the counter, including those we had not decided to purchase. When we asked her to remove the unwanted items and correct the bill, she repeatedly refused, claiming it was no longer possible and that we would have to contact corporate by email. She showed no apology or willingness to help and even told us to complain to her manager if we were unhappy. Her attitude was arrogant, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. For a well-known company like Sugarfina, this level of customer service is simply unacceptable. We are extremely disappointed and hope management takes this complaint seriously.

Auntie K's is a small online shop based out of San Jose, CA that curates and distributes quality…read moresweets, snacks and other goodies that otherwise wouldn't be as accessible. Started in 2013 by a self-proclaimed snackaholic/addict, they do direct sourcing and also partnerships such as with Profood/Philippine Brand, and Kimmie Candy (Reno). They keep updating with new flavor releases, discontinuations, packaging changes, etc. and focus on max value for the cost. Items they carry include dried fruits and candies (hard, chocolates, gummies, jellies, gingers). Find the store at auntiekcandy.com and on social as @AuntieKCandyShop. First heard of Auntie K Candy from a Yelp Reno virtual event where I got to try all things Philippine Brand; that box contained: Assorted Dried Fruit Balls Chewy Treats Gift Box (8 flavors) Dried Young Coconut Dried Pineapple Dried Guyabano (soursop) All Natural Dried Mango (no sugar added, no preservatives) Dried Mango Dried Green Mango Calamansi Juice 100% Pure Mango Juice Four Seasons Juice Nectar (mango, guava, pineapple, orange) WOW! Expertly packed, fast shipping, and a great variety of selections. The dried young coconut was the first one demolished, and out of the assorted flavor fruit balls, I liked the guava the best. The dried guyabano is also a fave of mine. That was super generous to include all that in the box for only $10 (free shipping), and some of those items are new and were not even available in her shop yet! I ordered from her again after the event, since she had some Memorial Day promos/savings. This time my box had a few freebies thrown in from Kimmie Candy too (dark chocolate-covered coffee beans, chocolate rocks), and some loose Mango Tamarind gummies. My order was: Lotte Korea Yogurt Jelly Gummy Candy Royal Family Mochi - Bubble Milk Tea Flavor Philippine Dried Guava Balls Chewy Fruit Treats Meiji Japan Choco Gummy Candy Tube - Muscat Grape Flavor Bali's Best Citrus Green Tea Hard Candy Dandy's Coffee Drops "Coffee In Your Pocket" Hard Candy Tins - Cappuccino Philippine All Natural No Sugar Added Dried Mangoes Again, packed well and super quick shipping. Since the guava balls were my fave of the assortment previously, I got a whole bag of them this time. The all natural dried mangoes were also a repeat. I was curious to try the Korean yogurt gummies (like Yakult?) and the bubble milk tea flavor mochis from Taiwan. I can only find the Meiji Japanese choco gummies occasionally locally and that muscat flavor is bomb -- it's not too artificial and yet a better texture than say, a real Raisinet. The citrus green tea and coffee hard candies were also new for me! Overall, a great resource for those hard-to-find or new Asian sweet snacks and goodies! Thanks Auntie K!

They have a large kiosk inside Valley Fair Mall. I do believe they will be moving in the future into a larger location in the mall and have their own storefront. They had so many boxes of chocolates and chocolate bars nicely organized and displayed. It was hard to decide what to get. The young lady behind the counter helped me make that decision. I wanted to try a few of the chocolates but they did not have samples for the items I was interested in. That didn't stop me from making a purchase. I'm a huge fan of orange and chocolate. My husband loves chocolate and hazelnut, as do I. The sales lady showed me the Prafeuille chocolate orange box and the hazelnut cream chocolate wafers. What I liked about these varieties, was that each chocolate treat was individually wrapped. I decided to buy a box of each of these. Checking out was fast and easy. I really appreciated the help I got from the sales lady I already know what I'm going to buy the next time I come back to shop at Royce. Both my husband and I tried the chocolates. The orange chocolate is a small thin milk chocolate squares filled with an orange sauce. It's absolutely delicious. I loved it. The hazel cream chocolate wafer is hazelnut cream sandwiched between crispy wafers dipped in chocolate. That was also very good. My husband loved it. Overall, we both loved their chocolate. It's very good quality chocolate with some unique flavor combinations. The customer service was great. I only wished they offered samples of all their offerings so you can try before you buy. I'm looking forward to trying their orange chocolate truffles next time.
