Dubai-Bye-Bye (sorry for this one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) I admit I get obsessed easily with food, and my current obsession is Dubai chocolate. For those who aren't following this food trend, it's essentially a chocolate bar filled with a creamy pistachio paste and crispy kadayif (filo strands). It's very unique and craveable, I highly recommend it. I've found candy bars at Middle Eastern grocery stores, and at a different bakery in Camden Park (rhymes with C'est Si Bon) that were both pretty good. However, my favorite so far has been the one here from San José Candy Kitchen. Even at a whopping $20/bar, I felt like it wasn't a terrible value as the bar itself is pretty fat, and I've seen smaller for more. They make them fresh in-store and they have some other Dubai chocolate related candies, but this was all that was avaliable upon our visit. If you're in DTSJ, I highly recommend heading this way and giving their stuff a try.

Loved the caramel apple & coconut haystacks. The pecan turtles were good but a lot of chocolate (I'm one who prefers little chocolate and more caramel) Service and presentation is nice. Only downside is difficult to find parking.
I've been in a hunt for Dubai chocolate around the Bay Area that meets my satisfaction, but I don't think I need to continue searching because San Jose Candy Kitchen has the BEST Dubai chocolate I've ever tasted. I've been recommending this place to friends and family and will continue to do so because it's so good!
Its a candy store! What's not to love? A good variety of chocolates, fudges, bagged candies, ice cream, frozen bananas. Some chocolates are by the piece, some by the pound. Lemon cream, haystacks, chocolate coconut chew(?),cherry cordial, nougats were all good.Yes, I took a bite out of all:) Milk chocolate is very creamy. Service is friendly. Place was empty. The store itself is a rough gem and could use some re organizing, and a little zhuzh-ing.
This appears to be a family owned and run store which is wonderful. The fudge was excellent and I got my first Dubai chocolate bar here. It was good too and they both went fast.
The fudge is delicious, however I'm now uncertain the cleanliness & health safety standards are up to par. My mom was eating some of the rocky road fudge & there's a huge hair INSIDE the fudge. I'm pretty grossed out. & bummed that I spent $25 on fudge & now we likely won't eat it.
I only came here for the Dubai chocolate. My friend likes it and said it was a little too sweet for her taste. Service is fast. It's a small shop that has outdoor furniture/seating. Can you fit in a wheelchair? If there isn't a line but people are well aware.
They have Fudge!!! Originally, I went in for a soda float, but they were out of the flavors I wanted. The candy apples looked so yummy, but were a little pricey. I settled for fudge, $5 for 4oz piece. The store is cute, small, and the staff is friendly. To get your candy fix, I'd recommend.
This is a hidden gem in downtown San Jose! If you're looking for candies and fresh made chocolates, go here! We were looking for Dubai chocolate and found this place, cutely tucked next door to the new EOS x NYX restaurant. Definitely try the Dubai Chocolate and the Dubai Strawberries! Delicious! My daughter and I loved them! We will be back!
It's small inside probably a good idea to look up the menu. There is so much selections, ice cream, candy, fudge, chocolate variety kinds, all made in house super yummy.
This is a hidden gem of downtown for sure! Stopped in because the have the "viral Duabi chocolate bar" here. Walking in you're hit with the heavenly aroma of fresh chocolate. They have SO many options, chocolates, gummy candies, ice cream, soda, you name it! Of course I got the Dubai chocolate bar. It was $19 which is definitely pricy for a chocolate bar but I've seen it as expensive as $40 on Amazon so not too bad in hindsight. It was decadent, could have had a bit more of the filling if I'm being honest especially for the price tag but I really enjoyed it!

As a dark chocolate addict, I've been wanting to try San Jose Candy Kitchen for some time. I hadn't had any chocolate for several days, so I decided to have some delivered today. I ordered my favorite, dark chocolate almond clusters, as well as English toffee, chocolate peanut clusters, almond bark, and chocolate hazelnuts. It was delivered quickly and everything was nicely individually packaged. The two squares of English toffee I ordered were like two bricks. Massive and covered in powdery almond pieces. They tasted good, but were too hard and thick. I prefer smaller pieces of toffee rolled in larger pieces of almond. I wasn't too impressed with the almond clusters or bark, either. It tasted okay and had lots of almonds in each bite, but the dark chocolate was overly sweet and tasted like the type of chocolate used in grocery store candy bars, even though they make it right there. The dark chocolate peanut clusters were the best item. They had a wonderful touch of salt that was so delicious. I would definitely go back for more of those. Next time, I'd like to try a caramel apple and chocolate dipped strawberries. Both look scrumptious on their website. read more
It's out of the way for a casual stop. The store is off the street and up the alley. But it was constantly rated highly for its Dubai chocolate bar and that's what I was looking for. Got there a bit early and even though they weren't due to open for another 10 minutes, the owner let me in so I could get one of those bars! How nice right? FOOD: The sweets in the display are all made by hand right there at the candy shop and they taste nice and fresh. They have a nice variety but since they are known for the Dubai chocolate I got one of those (which my daughter loved so it was all worth it) and a caramel apple which was so delicious. Nice and fresh and so big. Just what you want for the price. SERVICE: I can't say enough. So nice and thoughtful. It wasn't a huge store and the selection wasn't overwhelming but the quality was terrific and isn't that what you want? COST: Kind of expensive but hey, if you want homemade chocolates, that's just what it costs. And they were good. read more

Came to this area with some friends for a project. I ordered a Raspberry Truffle Milkshake out of impulse as I was thirsty, and found it to be far better than I expected it to be. The drink was a bit on the pricier side (ten dollars for a milkshake that's around the same size as your usual boba drink from drink places nearby, which are usually around 5-7 dollars) but it had the perfect level of sweetness and flavor that you would have difficulty finding elsewhere. I'm not sure if it was worth ten dollars and the price definitely deters me from wanting to buy a signature milkshake again, but I would be willing to come back to try some of their other items. As for the shop itself, it had very nice decor. There's some benches outside if you want to sit down, but there are no tables so you might be best off finding another place to do work if that's what your intentions are. read more

Unassuming, but so nice, I went twice within 24 hours! I was on the hunt for ice cream, as usual, and found delightful familiar flavors like tin roof, chocolate peanut butter, and raspberry vanilla. All were good but the raspberry vanilla was my surprise favorite. They had the chocolates, popcorn, and gummy candies too! Prefect place for a snack or a treat to purchase for friends or family. $20 Dubai chocolate bar + 10% off for SJSU students!!! This is by far cheaper than other places I've tried and also significantly bigger!! The quality of chocolate is great and I really enjoyed my Dubai chocolate bar, very well filled, crunchy, & it tastes so good right out of the fridge!! They also have Dubai chocolate covered strawberries, a Dubai chocolate sundae, a Dubai chocolate cheesecake. This will satisfy all of your Dubai chocolate cravings, and they also have many other chocolate items, like fudge, or chocolate patties with different fillings. They also have a good selection of candies and even Chamoy candy. They have ice cream & milkshakes & Indian flavors as well which was such a nice surprise!! It's owned by a really nice Indian family who was really sweet and helpful to helping me figure out what I wanted & what they have! They even have a pistachio knafa filled date I believe and I'll be definitely trying it on my next visit!! read more

No shade to the place . But please save your money , $20 for the pistachio chocolate bar and it wasn't good at all. From the chocolate it self to the filing inside wasn't it. The chocolate had a weird taste to it. tasted bitter and just not good quality chocolate. The filling was bitter and dry. It isn't the real pistachio cream that is meant to be in the bar. This bar filling tasted like peanut butter but instead of peanut it's pistachio . It was more chocolate than filling. As for the place itself I don't have no review on it as I just went in and out to get the chocolate bar. I'm sure there other desserts are good. This pistachio chocolate bare just missed the mark . read more

This is a cute, small shop located in the alleyway between First & Market Streets near Scott's Seafood. They have Treat's ice cream, caramel apples, fudge, and chocolates, among other things. My husband got a caramel almond turtle, a peanut butter chocolate and rocky road candy. He liked them all. I had the almond caramel apple, and it was good. The store so small, that it gets crowded in there if more than 3 people are inside. The quality of the candy/chocolate was good, though perhaps not as good as See's. read more

Came here after a night at Christmas in the Park. I was determined to get a Chamoy Apple!! At nearly $10 an apple, it was quite the treat. I was super happy to try it out, but I couldn't have finished it in one sitting, even while sharing! It was quite high in sodium (due to the tajin), so if you are sodium-sensitive, ask for light tajin! Can't speak to the service very much, but they were quick and efficient. read more

I know I shouldn't have been at a candy shop again, since I had just visited a sweet shop a week ago. But I'm weak! And addicted to chocolate! So being in the area for an event, I couldn't resist. I tried their chocolate covered strawberries and the triple chocolate milkshake. Wow, both of these items were amazing! Got the strawberries with dark chocolate and they tasted so fresh, the sweet strawberries and the smooth, crisp chocolate shells, were soooo good! Even sweeter, that chocolate shake, with bits of chocolate curls/shavings mixed right into it. Yes, a sugary treat, but the chocolate flavor was one-of-a kind, the best I've had ever anywhere... and I've tried a lot of chocolate milkshakes. The store itself was pretty small inside, and currently visitors can't even go inside. So you can stare at all the chocolate candy lined up in the display cases and popcorn being freshly made, through the window, lol. You open the front door to place your order when you're ready. The windows are covered with a whole bunch of menu items and pictures, from fudge and ice cream and chocolate covered fruit, to gourmet popcorn of unique flavors. I wanted to try the pizza flavored popcorn, but they were out. In fact they were out of a lot, so that was somewhat disappointing. But regardless, they still had so much to choose from to satisfy any sweet tooth. The worker was nice, service was pretty standard with about a 10-12 minute wait for our order to be ready (we ordered some candies and popcorn, in addition to what I mentioned earlier in this review). Also, you can check in on Yelp for a 10% discount. I would definitely return for that same milkshake and chocolate covered strawberries, but can't indulge too often... I think it would be a better experience if you could actually go inside and also if they had the other items in stock. But it's still a dream come true for chocolate lovers :) read more
