Easy parking, prices are the same like in a grocery store but with better selection. Friendly help and cashier. She even asked if I wanted the Hallmark seals for my envelopes. I've worked and managed retail for over a decade early in career and let tell you Lisette is by far the rudest, inconsiderate, and Callous retail store rep that I have ever met. I came in walked straight up the counter and asked nicely of if I could exchange this ornament because it's was already broken when I opened it. I just purchased yesterday. She asked if I had a receipt and I said no I threw it because I didn't think I would need it for an ornament. She said without the receipt she couldn't exchange it. I said but I have proof of purchase and showed her my CC transaction. She said it doesn't matter. It's store policy and the owner won't make exceptions. I said well let me talk to the owner or give me the contact information. She said call here. I asked when and she said she doesn't know because he comes in at random. Basically she was saying I was sh!t out of luck. Mind you the older lady that helped me yesterday was standing right there, heard the whole thing and didn't even acknowledge me or our interactions. I understand policies and M&P's etc. They are guidelines for typically everyday situations. When a customer shows proof of purchase and is asking for a fair exchange, it is absolutely absurd to deny them without even trying to consider resolution. Larry, if you are reading this - reconsider your policies and train your employees to be nicer to their customers. It's the holidays for Christ sakes!!!! Came by to get the UNICEF holiday cards, which were poorly arranged and I had to remove stacks to access all designs. My 2 year old actually helped stacking them back up neatly. A store clerk came by and instead of helping she says "it's looking a little raggedy over here..". Whoa! We paid and left right away and won't ever come back. I have to give this Hallmark store a shout out after today's visit! Within 15 minutes ( life of a busy mom), I had 6 beautiful cards - Mother's Day, Sympathy & 1st Communion AND some great Mother's Day gifts. They have an amazing selection here!!! I got my Mom a beautiful jeweled wine glass that says Mom you are loved. A super soft pajama set for my sister and a very cute floral lotion and soap set for my Grandma. They had a great selection of religious gifts as well which can be tough to find. I really love this store, I think it's the best of all the Hallmarks I have been to. read more

Their usps office does not even work until 5pm. They close at 4:45. I arrived at 4:50 and they refused to provide service. I spent my expensive time driving to their place and could not even imagine that there might be a service that is unable to work even until 5pm. They must be so exhausted and tied that are even unable to stay until 5pm. Of course in normal world the post offices should work until at least 7-8pm, but until 5pm it is a MUST! For any company that provides any kind of services. It is disrespect towards all adult working people to close earlier than 5pm. They explained that with the fact that they have some pick up service at 4:45. Maybe it has some magic difference for them, but not for customers. I absolutely do not care when their pick up service is, as all normal people do not care about that. I am so tired of all these lazy people who are not able to work even the minimum acceptable amount of time. read more

Came in for my annual personalized holiday ornaments that are not keepsake nor tree trimming ornaments. This year they are cute little Gnomes with names or sayings on them. Many are sold out, like the Mom and Dad ones, and the lady at the counter was nice enough to inform me that I may have more luck ordering online from Gantz as inventory is much lower this year at the various stores. That was helpful to know, else I may have gone driving to other Hallmark stores, where corporate and franchisees have different merchandise. read more

Not sure what's going on with the customer service here. I've been coming here ever since a was a little girl and have always loved coming here. They've always sold us the display ornament if they were out of the boxed ornament before Christmas but I was told today they weren't selling the displays until after Christmas even though at least 6 displays missing. I thought that's ok maybe it's a new policy no big deal. Then my son was going to pick out some candy and he was told not to touch the candy after he was already told he couldn't get the ornament he wanted. I woud understand if he was messing around with the candy and making a mess but he wasn't. I don't know why the employees were being rude to a 2 year old but we won't be coming back. Really disappointed by how I was treated in this store today. Let me just start with: I am a nurse and waited 20 min of my 30 min lunch for USPS here. The rude lady at the counter did not acknowledge ANY of the clients waiting in line to be helped. I finally got to my turn and was told, rather rudely, they couldn't accept my package. The lady did not even apologize for not having asked me what I needed or acknowledged my presence in the line/having waited a significant amount of time just to be told they weren't helping me. She proceeded to justify her actions (again WITHOUT an apology) and that's when I just left. I went to Hillsdale USPS and their team helped me and apologized on YOUR store's behalf. Never coming back. Do not recommend at all but it seems I am not the only one who's had a bad experience with this gal. read more

But I do come here for the working post office (seldom a line) and it's fun to roam the knick knack heaven. This Hallmark is great. It makes me sad that more and more people are sending emails and texts to each other instead of hand written cards. There's just something so nice about writing and receiving handwritten cards. This location is tucked away in a shopping plaza. Parking is easy to find and there are always rewards (ex. $2 off, buy two get one free, etc) for card members or at the bottom of receipts. It's slightly older but they are always stocked with lots of different cards for all occasions. I recently visited this location to look for a Valentine's Day card. There were so many to choose from; it was overwhelming but because of the large variety to choose from I was able to find the perfect one for the person I was looking for. This Hallmark always has a lot of birthday cards as well as a lot of 99 cent cards. There is also a gift section with journals, stuffed animals, and other little goodies. Another really cool thing about this location, is that there is a post office inside! You can send mail and packages out, as well as grab boxes and stamps if needed! I have always experienced great service at both the store and the post office inside. They answer any questions I have about the location of certain cards and always spark up a friendly little conversation when I'm purchasing my items. read more

I have been shopping in this store for more years than I can count. Must have been here hundreds of times. BTW I've never seen a man working here so I have no idea who Larry is. This is my card shop. Also my post office, place to get gifts, ornaments, and holiday singing and dancing stuffies before for my kids, grown now, now my granddaughter, great nieces... They have a lot of fun gifts, trinkets, angels, 49er, Giants, Raider paraphernalia, stuffies, holiday things and so much more. The staff is polite, not over bearing, they leave you alone and let you browse, and help when asked. Having the USPS (post office) on site is wonderful. These ladies are always very sweet, polite, and patient. There have been so many Hallmark Stores closing over the last few years I hope this one stays in business. read more

Hallmark stores are so much more than cards nowadays. This one has loads of nice gift items in all price ranges. I love to come here to pick up that little something. They do of course carry the full line of Hallmark cards and there is a large selection here. But, I really enjoy their other offerings which are not even made by Hallmark. They carry cute stuffed animals, some nice stained glass (I know it's not the real thing, but it's sure pretty!) vases and hanging pictures for your windows, various animal figurines (lots of cat and dog stuff), potpourri items, and on and on. They generally have a good supply of seasonal decor for whatever holiday we are celebrating at the moment and this location also boasts an in-house post office! You have no excuse for not getting that card and mailing it too! My Hallmark rewards card works here also. I think the same ladies have worked here forever and they are always cheerful and friendly with offers to box and wrap gifts for me. They have good caramels at the checkout too! So you see, there is no reason to come in here and not find something to buy. Makes me smile. read more

I started searching random areas through Hallmark's website, found that Larry's Hallmark had the item, and called hoping they could ship it to me in Illinois...Lissette (I apologize if I'm butchering her name!) answered and was AMAZING! I would give this Hallmark 0 stars if possible. Larry is an old grumpy guy and his staff are rude and grumpy just like him. This place used to be called Heathers Hallmark. Which the old owners and staff are truly missed. The old owner was polite, and took the time out for all his employees. Larry comes in and buys the place and gets rid of all the old employees. Larry has no knowledge of running a hallmark. The old team had to train him. Once that was done he he started his layoffs. Please shop else where if possible. Larry is quite the grump & did not want to honor his 30 day return policy ( noted on the receipt) until I challenged him. Buying Hallmark ornaments with your children should be a fun thing not one that puts you in an ill mood. His staff there are almost as non friendly as he is. I had my 4 year old who was 3 at the time & was about to burst with my daughter being 9 months pregnant & they were just so paranoid about my son checking out the Christmas ornaments & just overall unfriendly. This Hallmark is a bit hidden in the plaza, but they have a decent selection. I love to browse Hallmark stores because they're great for gifts, cards, trinkets and what not. However, I stopped by this Hallmark yesterday, on a Sunday, to buy some Easter gifts and cards with my mom. As I was browsing around, a grouchy elderly woman walked by me and stated, "we close at 5. It's a few minutes after 5." I bust out my phone, feeling embarrassed, and it was 5:03, exactly. HORRIBLE customer service...you never shoo a customer away, especially like that! I was so angry, I headed straight for the exit, but this old bitch locked all of the doors (probably to prevent anymore people from coming in)! I found out the doors were locked after I tried to push on them & exit, angrily. She comes over, doesn't even apologize. Just opens the door and says nothing. I'll take my business elsewhere, to any other Hallmark...not this one. read more

My mom and I come here because they have an in-house post office. Which is cool cause you don't have to wait in a long line at the actual post office... BUT honestly, every single time we come here the staff members (in the post office area) are condescending and rude. It's really puzzling to me because my mom & I are pretty pleasant people. I have plenty of experience shopping at retail stores. The owner of this business treated me more rudely and disrespectully than anyone ever has in a retail situation. I had my 6 month old in a shopping cart and this jerk spoke to me in an extremely rude way telling me that shopping carts were not allowed in his store. His clerk (an old lady, probably his mother) agreed with him. I was stunned. If only he had spoken to me politely, it would have been a completely different experience. I am reasonable and would probably have taken the cart outside and returned with baby in arms. As it is, I told him I would not be a customer in his store and he said that would be just fine with him. Incredible that this guy has any customers at all. I would not recommend this business to anyone. I tried reporting him to Hallmark corporate but they said he is independent of Hallmark and they have no influence over the way he runs his business. Pretty lame response from Hallmark in my opinion. I wish there was something more I could do to warn other customers to avoid this place like the plague. I've been visiting this store for many years and I've always had a good experience. It's a relatively small store, so the selection of cards and seasonal items is decent, but not exceptional. The folks working the register are friendly and competent. And contrary to others' complaints, the owner has been helpful to me a couple of times, once digging through seasonal items that were ready to go into storage to help me finds something special a few days after the holiday had passed. Four stars due to the fact that everything seems to be full list price and the slightly smaller selection than some stores, but a great spot when you need an item and don't want to hassle with the big box stores. read more
