Really great store for teachers! Paring was full at the front but there was parking available at the back and a back entrance was available. Staff were all scattered however I wasn't greeted when I came but the others were. Although a guy who was working there saw I needed a bag to hold my items. They had a lot of things you can look for math, writing, reading, and a lot of decorations! The prices seemed a lot but could be worth it. They also had a good deal 20% off on decor items. The checkout line was a little confusing if they had a cord to show where the line starts with their line starts here sign that'll help. I was checking out and they asked for my name and email to sign me up for deals and had to correct them a few times. Great store I'd come back however I wish they helped me out a little more in what I'm looking for but figured to just look around and search myself.

Ever since I heard about this teacher store, decades ago, I have always enjoyed walking around the isles here! They literally have everything for a teachers beck and call! It's very well organized, and the employees all seem to know their products! There's a great laminator machine, and if you have a coupon, it helps your budget!! great deals on construction paper as well as any borders for your classroom! When my son was younger, I got him a handful of the workbooks for the summer so he could keep up with his studies. I definitely would recommend this place for any parent as well as teacher to check out!!

I love Lakeshore Learning Store. It's another store that I wished we had in Hawaii. As soon as we walked in my daughter was already engaged. She thought she walked into a toy store. She immediately found one of the learning toys and was playing with it. Lakeshore has tons of learning products for all ages and all subjects. They have toys, workbooks, art supplies, everything you can imagine to teach your child. We stayed in there quite a while because there was so much to see and my daughter liked exploring. I ended up getting her a math workbook, a drill kit (she loved this), an art kit for the plane ride back, and some stickers. I signed up for text alerts and I got a free Lakeshore tote. It was a nice added bonus. I will definitely be coming back again the next time I'm in town.

It shares the same building with the Mitsuwa Market, so, of course, the shop is much smaller than the other ones out there, making it a bit more cramped. With this in mind, the books, stationery, gifts, and other goods here aren't as impressive as say a standalone Kinokuniya (common sense) or the ones that are located in malls. Or maybe I'm just spoiled by the options that I have in SoCal. It's not bad when you're in the area, but if you're a tourist and want a more comprehensive Kino experience, I would say your best bet is the Japantown SF location. However, it's still nice to stop by and see what cute stuff that they have.

I saw lots of stuff that appealed to me, like kitty cat thank you cards, grocery shopping bags, and cute little doodad trays, but for whatever reason didn't buy myself anything. I still had a great time checking out all of the adorable merchandise. This shop is attached to Mitsuwa Market and you enter through the food court. This is a busy shopping center with lots of stores and restaurants; parking can be problematic on weekends.

I stopped by on a Tuesday evening, and it wasn't overly busy. I meandered through the aisles and was blown away by the genres/styles/options. Whether you love mystery or memoirs or illustrated novels or fiction, there is a book for you at Recycle Bookstore. What's more, since they sell used books, there are so many options at an extremely affordable price. I was able to pick up a Spanish vocabulary book for less than $5! The service was unremarkable, which is exactly what I want from a bookstore. I was able to slowly check out all the books without any rush/pressure. There was so much cute merch in the store as well, ranging from tote bags to stickers. If you're looking for a book to read or even some fun souvenirs, check this spot out!

In an age where everything is ordered online and endlessly scrolled through on a phone app, this bookstore reminds me how important physical bookstores are to a community, right alongside public libraries. I love being able to wander the aisles, glance at titles, read the backs of books and discover staff picks or unexpected finds. There's something grounding about picking up a book, flipping through the pages, and deciding if it's coming home with you. Because it's a used bookstore, the deals are great, and you'll often find items that are harder to track down online or cost much more elsewhere. As someone who collects out-of-print graphic novels, especially indie titles from publishers like Image Comics, finding older first printings at reasonable prices makes every visit worthwhile. The shop has a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the staff is genuinely pleasant and knowledgeable. I truly appreciate this place and what it represents. It's always worth stopping in and supporting a local bookstore like this.

Noelle's Yelp Notebook 2021…read more Quarantine Chronicles - May 2021 Ave Maria is an essential shop for Catholics. Long ago you couldn't take photos in the shop but I spoke with one of the clerks and they said it's fine to take photos but they still haven't taken the old sign where it said photos are not allowed. In the advent of the internet and social media the only way businesses can survive is by customers sharing photos online. I've been coming to this shop for over 30 years with my family. The shop is specific for Catholics. They have all materials that Catholics may be interested in such as books for children, books for adults, dvds, musical cds, gifts, crucifixes, bottles for holy water, candles, gift sets for first holy communion, confirmation gifts, cards for all occasions, prayer cards, the selection is amazing! They even have garments for Priests, Deacons and things you might need for inside the church but that is separate from the main shopping area. Customer service is good on the phone and in person. The only problem is they only had two staff on a very busy Saturday. They require masks to be worn inside due to the pandemic. Upon entering you are required to sanitize your hands and the sanitizer station. Selection was a little slim on communion and confirmation items as many children are having their first communion and confirmation. I was still able to get the items I needed. One thing I love is their greeting card section - it's super extensive, for all occasions. This is a one stop shop for all your Catholic needs. A favorite place of mine to shop for sure :) Noelle's Notes A great resource for all things Catholic. They are taking pandemic precautions- must wear a mask to shop and sanitize hands upon entering. They are closed on Sundays. If you cannot get here another great catholic resource is the religious gift shop at Our Lady of Peace in Santa Clara (not far from Great America and Mission College).
