Friendly Staff, good selection of books, and on occasion you may find that book you've been long looking for!

After lunch, I wanted to check the bookstore next door to the restaurant. This is a really nice bookstore with a ton of great books. Each area is divided by subject matter. I really love fiction, so I hung out in that area for a bit to see what they had. I really like the layout of this store and how they display the books. They even had a section called "blind date with a book." They were gift wrapped with a tiny quote from the book or description about the book. What a fun idea. There nothing like have a tangible book in your hands to read. I prefer reading books this way, over using a device. I guess I'm just old school. Prices are what's labeled on the book. They also offer a discount section of books. read more

Books Inc. is my go to bookstore when I'm in the Pruneyard area. The employees here are always welcoming and friendly and will help you find what you're looking for. They offer some books on sale or clearance at a great value. I have purchased many books here for birthdays, Christmas and for myself. They have the children's book section with plenty of children's books, stuffed animals, and seating for looking at books and reading. read more

Great bookstore! My family and I popped in here to check out books and to kill some time before our dinner reservation. I love looking at new releases and staff recommendations. The store was well organized and the staff were super helpful and even knew a lot about the niche book series I was looking for. Def recommend! read more

Would absolutely NOT recommend if you want to browse books or find a book to read for fun that's not EXTREMELY politically charged (and very very very unipolar - no diversity in thought at all or even neutral). I love bookstores - just popping in and looking for a good book. Immediately after you enter you can see every display, whether you're browsing history, travel, etc. will be littered with books pushing political agenda. Disappointing at best, felt like the staff was trying to propagandize. read more

Everytime time I come to eat at the Pruneyard, I usually make a stop here. I just love browsing the isles and seeing what the staff picks are. I cant help but get a book when I go. I love supporting book stores. If you have kids they have a cute reading area. Also, if you want to check out their sales, it is usually after a holiday. Stop by if you have some time before eating at the various restaurants or after to walk off the meal. read more

Loved visiting this store in the Pruneyard while doing a Sunday funday. Located right next to Luna's restaurant. I love how welcoming and warm it is. There was a book club going on which made the place even more inviting. What I loved most about the store were all the notecards of recommendations. It really shows that the staff love their jobs and are willing to help! I didn't buy anything (this time) but I want to visit again soon. read more

I was in the area, and decided to stop by this cute (not so little) book store. It was a pretty pleasant experience all things considered. They have a pretty solid collection of books (I picked up a couple while I was there), and their staff was friendly too. The shop definitely had a bit of a political bend to it, which isn't my favorite, but it's a privately owned shop. Still a cute spot to check out if you're in the area. read more

Holy sh|t this place is odd in it's own quirky way. Love it! Books Inc is definitely a place I can spend a couple of hours in and feel refreshed like clean clothes! Ah ha. ;L) I was looking for The Hexologists by Josiah Bancroft and we looked on the shelf and the customer service guy found one on the cart! Heck yeah! I was early for this release. JB is a Sci Fi/Fantasy/Dystopian genre and is a pretty in depth reads that's for sure! Enso forever. Parking kinda sucks. By Peet's. Trader Joe's and Sport's Basement. My local independent bookstore with a wide selection of sale books, from classics to comics and plenty of cookbooks and stationery, so you can almost always get something at a great price. Staff can be hit or miss, depending who you interact with, but Harriett is knowledgeable and great to chat with for book recommendations. I just wish they had non classic/recent fiction titles in their sale section, like they used to. Parking can be rough during peak Pruneyard hours. They have a great rewards program and donate to reading bridge which provides students in the Bay Area with diverse reading, so check them out! read more

I absolutely love Books Inc. of Campbell. The store is located in the Pruneyard. The environment is so inclusive and welcoming. Staff is kind and helpful. I come here often to browse the new book sections and the cute gadgets/book accessories. The best sellers are usually in the front of the store. I browse the book store for hours and always find a new read. I love bringing my family here too. They have a large children's section in the back with a variety of choices. I am a frequent customer and look forward to coming back! read more

I do my best to support indie book stores. They have a pretty decent stock on books, not just popular ones but ones you wouldn't normally see anywhere else which I love! I work near by and always stop in to see the different selection they have in. Their tables are almost always changed up a few times a month to showcase new options. They will continue to have my business because books are important! And supporting both indie book stores and indie authors is more important! read more

I absolutely love this little bookstore so much! I have found something great each time I've come here. Today I came here to get myself a new journal and I found a nice one. But I also found an interesting hardcover novel I'm looking forward to reading. I much prefer small bookstores with a sweet curated collection to choose from. The giant Barnes and Noble megastores just tire me! I can't handle that much inventory. I will be coming back here soon! read more

I stopped in today looking for a couple of books to add to my current reading list. I am actively weaning myself off the online stores-who-shall-not-be-named, so I was interested in checking out the Pruneyard location of this Bay Area independent chain. I found one of the books in stock but had to order the other because it was sold out throughout the western US. I found the inventory at this location small but thoughtfully diverse. My daughter is a teacher and found the children's section well-stocked. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I will return to this location and highly recommend them as an alternative to the online megastores. read more

Books Inc. is easily one of my favorite bookstores in the South Bay. I have a passion for collecting various cookbooks, and surprisingly, Books Inc. consistently offers a wide array of well-priced cookbooks, often beating online sellers. Their diverse genres and a spacious children's book area, complemented by toys, make it a fantastic spot in a vibrant neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and shops. Service is always consistent, fast, and helpful. I frequently bring my nieces and nephews to indulge in their love for reading and enjoy lunch, macaroons, and ice cream nearby. While parking can be busy on weekends, the overall experience is well worth the visit. read more

When in Pruneyard, you've gotta check out the Book Inc. I love going to the OCK here and Marshalls! so every time I visit one of those places I make sure to visit this place. I found an autographed Book by a Filipino author here! -- the book was called Wildflower and it was pretty good! and just like any other book store they have a section of miscellaneous cute things which is always entertaining to look at. The staff are always chatty and helpful here! I find their prices fair and square. read more

My default rating for a bookstore that is still here despite Amazon is 5 stars. Bookstores are my refuge and I miss the days when they were in every shopping area and you could go there...peruse books, grab a drink, and spend a few hours. This bookstore is nestled around several restaurants and other shops. I walked in and right away saw the kids section. I was searching for a book and a lady helped me find the author but we weren't able to find the book I was searching for. I browsed the rest of the store filled with all types of books and gifts. I didn't find anything at this visit but will stop by whenever I'm in the area. read more

Support Small Biz! I love going to books stores. Unfortunately, it's rare to find one and so lucky to have this one close to home and in turn in one of the shopping centers I frequent. I love browsing here and looking at selections. More frequently, I would get titles and put them on my "to read list" as I am super busy with 2 little ones. Speaking of my little ones, the older one just started reading and we would get some books here for her. I also love the nook in the children's section where we read some books together. Associates are welcoming and nice. I love the cozy ambiance here as well. Besides books, there other things in store like knick-knacks, gift ideas (besides books!), puzzles. They also have a frequent reader program. read more

I don't live near Campbell, but I love visiting Books Inc. whenever I'm in the area. The employees are nice and they have a large selection of books. I always end up walking out with a new book to read! I do wish that their fiction and graphic novel sections could be a bit bigger, but they do carry plenty. Yesterday, I walked away with 2 new books! I definitely recommend Books Inc. to any casual readers who are looking for a new book to pick up! read more

Nice people, helpful...good selection and I enjoy their discount areas near front of store.

I just want to give a big thank you to the staff of this bookstore. I walked in with some friends and i was looking for this book that I couldn't find anywhere else. I asked the cashier if she had the book in stock, and she looked it up to find that there was only one copy left. So she told me the places where that book should be, and when I couldn't find it, another staff member came and actually searched the backroom, the displays, the fantasy section, just about half the bookstore, determined to find it. That alone was amazing. No other bookstore has ever done that for me. Especially not Barnes n Noble. About 10 minutes later, she found it! And it was an amazing book. I purchased it immediately. So if you are in the area and would like to purchase a book, this is the place to go :) read more

I love browsing Books Inc. whenever I'm in Campbell. As an avid graphic novel reader and diverse YA book reader, I always find the latest works of multicultural and well-renowned literature here! Thank you Books Inc. for carrying books that reflect perspectives and interests of the local community. read more

This book store is a gem. Aside from their variety of books and touch of personal recommendations from their staff, their thoughtfulness about their children's book corner is something I appreciate as a parent who often visits the Pruneyard. They even have Lego books, activity sticker books, and workbooks which is something that is hard to find in typical indie bookstores. I have also been able to find nice gifts for friends and family in their miscellaneous sections. read more

Narrow selection of notebooks/books. Rude staff- man at the counter showed poor customer service and tossed my book after scanning it.

A lovely little book store in a great location, right in the middle of Campbell's Prunyard Shopping Center. Since they're so small, they can't carry a lot but they always have new bestsellers in stock and multiple copies of almost every book. A great place to go and browse for books to put on your to-read list. Employees let you browse without bothering you, which is a feat considering it's such a small shop. The little tags that recommend books are great! Beware, it can get a quite crowded on the weekend. read more

I love reading. I love going to bookstores. I am also guilty of buying and having it shipped from Amazon because I'm lazy. That being said I knew buying a gift would be more meaningful if I went instead. I was going to meet w/ a director (not my direct director) and I wanted to buy her this book because she pushed me in profound ways indirectly. I had her full support when I was at DHL. Now that I'm here I have so much support that I can't even imagine. Plus she reads! W/ that said I wanted to continue raising the bar; learning, reading, and volunteering for things. I have a growth mindset and I could say that I'm very happy financially, I'm very comfortable but it's not enough. I wanted to meet w/ her to get some feedback on learning and growing, not just laterally (financially) but everything as a whole. I want progression. She was very touched by this gift. She then advised me to read "Good to Great" and I did. I finished it w/in 3 weeks. We're meeting soon so we can discuss the book and what I find relevant in the work that we do. I can't wait. Thank you to the gentleman that held this book for me and for putting a ribbon on it. I called during the day and wanted to make sure they have this book. I wasn't going to drive to multiple bookstores after a long day at work. read more

Independent book stores are the BEST! This book store is tucked away, but worth seeking. Their variety is pretty comprehensive and the space is well organized for book lovers to find what they're looking for. There is a large kids' section and you'll find some cozy spots to bond with a new book. I overheard great rapport and customer service with regulars. It was my first time in, and I was easily treated as a valued customer, as well. The store is dog friendly, clean, and user friendly. I am looking forward to a return visit to Books Inc. read more

Small local book store provides free weekly book readings for anyone who wants to listen, often with author visits. Singing and interactive fun for the little ones with free goodies after every book readings like coloring pages, and small freebies. My 10 year old daughter LOVES this store, but sadly, I don't think I'll be going in here anymore. Their social/political agenda is so intense and aggressive it's hard to enjoy looking for a book. I used to love bookstores, but anymore I feel like I'm inside some propaganda machine. What ever happened to quality literature for children? Every single book in their kids section has some sort of agenda- even if I agreed with some of it, it's SO heavy handed and intense. Let children be children. So tired of all of this. read more

We've been to Books Inc. numerous times since they've opened. Reasons that I love it. 1) Great place to buy a gift. There are toys as well as other items (aside from books), like journals. They even wrapped my friend's book since it was a present for her mother. 2) Location. It's right in the heart of Pruneyard, so you can grab a latte at Peet's Coffee or a Boba tea. 3) Book bargains. They have a ton of unique book bargain books, like art books that are hard to find elsewhere. It's super fun to peruse this area as they change it up often. 4) Inviting space. It is super pleasant to browse, and it is always clean. The kids' area, although small, is super cute as well. 5) Supporting small independent book stores, I know, duh! but I had to throw this out there. It's great that their staff is really knowledgable and have been working there for years. You can tell it is a labor or love. read more

This is the closest indie bookstore to where I live so I've shopped here many times. The book selection is good. The customer service is helpful without being pushy. The location in the Pruneyard is wonderful. Previously, this location was in Santa Clara Marketplace near the Whole Foods. That whole area is a mess so I'm glad they moved here. The bookstore is open, cheery and well organized. My only complaint is that there are a lot of "discount" books where I think other books could go. It's not a big deal, but I would like a bigger selection beyond the bestseller lists. It's not bad at all, but I'm just being selfish. read more

Very neat and friendly bookstore! The staff here was so nice to me during my visit here and helped me find the book I was currently on the search for. Also wanted to mention that their clearance section has very intriguing titles as well! On top of this, the stationary they sell here is also really fascinating. Almost all items are price-matched with bigger retail bookstores and the prices here were much more affordable than others. Will definitely return to Books Inc. once I finish the last novel I have purchased here! read more

I was a bit disappointed with the selection. Mostly for kids books. I could find what I was looking for for my 9 yrs old kid and also nothing for my 4 yrs old.
