Long Story Short, I bought $140 worth of items. I'm currently on crutches, a boot on one leg, and a brace on the other leg. I had 4 full bags. I asked the cashier if someone (not necessarily her) could help me put it in my car. She gave me a blank look and said with an attitude no I have a line. Her other coworkers were around (I saw at least 3 people) and she didn't ask any one of them if they could help me. From the farthest checkout line to the door, I struggled to my car, back and forth 4 times. All the workers saw me having a hard time and they obviously didn't care. The customer before me, the cashier was having a long 5 minute conversation with her, holding up the line. The service is atrocious at this store. Straight up rude. Will never be back at this location. read more

Today I had a great time shopping at Dollar tree on Almaden Road location near Cherry and Almaden road .The store had so many new and cute holiday items. I was having a great time until I got to the checkout and felt bad for the checker. I was in line and there was a very difficult customer asking to have somebody carry three bags or so to her car. She kept insisting on somebody take out her bags when there was not a lot of staff, and she only had a couple light bags and she was young and capable. I'm 53 and I had way more stuff to carry to my car right next to hers. Her car was just right outside the door too. So unacceptable to treat staff like that but Naisa was so professional in handling the situation. She kept doing her job to not hold up the line. She smiled and let her know that they don't have anybody to help her. The customer kept insisting and even threatened to have it all returned if she couldn't get somebody to help her. I was gonna offer just to get the girl away from Naisa she doesn't have to deal with her anymore. Then an older customer customers said she'd help her out because I think she felt sorry for Naisa. I had to get her name to give her a shout out on how she did an amazing job handling it and let the managers know what a good employee Dollar tree has. lI think some businesses don't know the extent of the mental abuse they get from customers but she handled the situation very well. What can I say? This place has at times been both a lifesaver and a really fun place to shop. So nothing negative to say.

Great store and nicely organized and stocked. I think I'm there at least once every two weeks and the cashier and staff are friendly.

"Mama! I DON'T EVER WANNA COME BACK HERE. EVER!!!!!" says my six year old, totally disgusted by the place. I don't blame her. It's totally G H E T T O. There's sh*t all over the floor, some food items were also on the floor. It was just really MESSY and gross! I couldn't take pics cuz I was in a hurry to get my stuff and run! Run away as far as possible! It wasn't like this the first few times I came here. It just shows how CRAZY peeps can get during the Christmas season! Geez! I have to say, though, this place have GREAT deals. I can get $1 notebooks for my students, and other school supplies. They have a lot of nice Christmas gift bags, tissue paper, ribbons, ornaments. Those are kinda pricey at Target! Wouldn't you rather pay $1 for a gift bag than $4.99 at Target? I bought tissue paper pack at Target for $3, and I was so pissed off I found the same pack at the dollar store for $1. It was even nicer than the ones I got! I am shocked that this has such high ratings. This store was a disaster area. The employees were clueless on where anything was, let alone where the bathroom was or where the key was. Most isles were very cluttered or the shelves were empty. Not very well taken care of. We finally found the key to the bathroom. The woman's bathroom was out of order so just went i to the mens. As dollar tree stores go, this one is pretty great. Clean, organized, and BIG. Not all dollar trees are created equal.

They supposedly have an exchange only policy. I bought some hats at another location. They didn't even look at the receipt & said I can only get an exchange (i.e. I bought 7 items so I can exchange it for 7 other items). There is no store credit. I turned around & asked another cashier because the guy at my register has only be there for 2 months. The other cashiers said she didn't know. She asked if I bought it there and I said no. So she suggested that I return it at the store I bought it from. It was a waste of time to get in line for 15 minutes and get that answer when she originally told me when I entered the store and asked her that I can get in any line to return items. read more

They have a fairly decent selection of merchandise for sale, but I hate how unorganized and dirty this location is in comparison with others around. There is always a lack of walking space from products lining the floors and the pile up of unshelved products accumulating on carts. Decent store for some quick last minute items, but I still think you are better off shopping elsewhere when possible. read more

This location is one of the worst in the area. Flooded with weirdos and strange people, starting already at the parking lot, to the point where i was thinking if it's safe to leave my car or not. Same inside the store, keep your purse close. Besides that, the entire Shop is a huge filthy mess. Not very welcoming, it's dirty on each corner. I mean sure, it's the dollar tree you can't expect much, anyways, they could clean a bit. All in all, i will not return, because i didn't feel safe in there. I was in this store this morning and couldn't believe how dirty the floors were, how many items they didn't have and how kind of rude the gal helping me was. They had everything I needed and stuff I didn't need that seemed to end up in my cart. I have to stay put of the dollar store or I will spend all of my money. That being said this store was relatively clean compared to other ones I have been to. They had plenty of items in stock. They do have an issue with shopping carts. The cashier was telling me she couldn't figure out why they are always short on carts. I was checking out and another customer was asking for a cart so I gave her mine. The only thing I don't like is they always seem to only have one register open, not just this dollar store but all of them. Why is that? Anyway if I'm in the area I will shop here again. Great spot to get some deals on random stuff you didn't even know you needed. I came here for a candle wax warmer. I got that with some tea lights too. Place was clean an pretty well stocked for rainy Saturday evening. You should really go into one of these, so many deals. Oh yeah an if you get the candy...the bags of candy are .5 ounces more than the boxes on some items. (Sour patch kids) The staff was nice and was just stocking away like little busy bees. I had a great time at Dollar Tree. $1 deal is best deal in whole wide USA. I cannot believe what I can buy for $1 and it is great. For the example, I bought a mop, the store nearby selling for $25 but here it is $1 and the mop was great and long-lasting. Will definitely be back for my monthly shopping. For my kids' parties, I also come here for party supplies. They have huge range and variety of colors for table cloth, spoons, forks, or napkins. Decoration items are great and beautiful. What the heck?! This is one of the best dollar stores I've ever been to! How crazy!! How impressed can you really get from a dollar store? A lot. They have such a large selection of everything here. Just imagine all the dollar stores you've been to, with all the different categories combined and then add a little extra to each selection. They have a very large selection of everything. The next best part? It is super clean and new! It doesn't smell like some of those stinky old dollar stores. They also have a pretty big parking lot. WHOA! This Dollar Tree must be brand-spanking new, because it is the brightest, cleanest location I have ever seen. I recently drove to several Dollar Trees looking for some fall leaf garland and bunches of plastic bouquets for some centerpieces I was making. After driving to four locations with no luck, I was starting to get frustrated. Thankfully the location on Almaden & Koch was next on my list. Seriously, the store was well-lit, everything was in its place, and the shelves were fully stocked. I was able to get plenty of the supplies I needed. I have a Dollar Tree super close to my house, but now I know if I can't find something I need there, I can drive a few miles and find what I need at the Almaden & Koch location. read more

This place is legit -- it's the cleanest, biggest, and most organized of the three in the South San Jose area and has the best stuff. I come here as a first stop for party supplies or gift wrapping needs -- the selection is pretty decent at obviously a very affordable price point. There are a variety of color options and party theme supplies, such as baby showers and birthday parties. Recent purchases include: gift bags, artificial flowers (pull the flower off the stem for easy party decor!), tissue paper, streamers, and a sturdy pair of scissors. Oftentimes, products are brand name -- sometimes it's just that the advertising is past due (e.g. Monster's Inc Kleenex boxes). I have been going to this store for years and I have never seen the staff be anything but great. Previously I was going to one closer to me but the staff were rude and abusive. Most of the customers are respectful of social distancing and in general I feel very safe shopping here. this is my favorite of the many dollar trees that I have visited. I have a client who loves the chain, so i'm beginning to become an expert! This one is super new, so it is very clean, including the parking lot. I especially appreciate this location as it provides a counterpoint to the mess that is the old dollar tree up the road near walmart and scramblez. They have a rather large frozen food section. an increased refridgerated/frozen section seems to be the trend in discount stores lately. they give out free plastic bags if you purchase 10 items. otherwise, it's 10 cents (san jose law says no free bags). their bags are quite sturdy. they won't tell you the policy of the free bags, so if you only buy a few items, make sure they haven't charged you, if you don't want a bag. the employees are really helpful, and have given me bags if it is less than 10 items, but i look like it would be difficult to carry the stuff I bought. read more

Michael, the manager, as well as one of his clerks were extremely helpful and kind to my mother who erroneously left her wallet at the store yesterday. One of the customers found it outside on the ground and returned it to the clerk who then put it in the office for safe keeping. Today, my mom went back to the store and was delighted to find it with no missing contents. Thanks to a great staff in taking care of this for her. I do not go to a dollar store for customer service so I will not complain about it. Instead, I go to the store for school art supplies. Not necessarily in the art supplies isle, but just about every other isle. I've bought tons of plastic food containers, straws, paper cups, tin foil, wrapping paper, straw hats, rubber bands, baking pans, etc., etc., etc. I distributed the stuff among kids and voila, they created all kind of amazing things beyond your imagination. This was by far the cleanest, organized, and great service by the staff here. I literally had $200 worth of stuff, and the employee was super patient and even carried my bags to my car since the carts can't be taken out of the store!
