Saturday night, at around 10:30 pm, I decide to recklessly drink near my laptop. Being the huge klutz that I am, I knock over my cup and my drink spills on to the top right of my laptop, right onto the power button. The liquid gets the top right portion of my laptop - I think it should be okay! No....not really. I tried turning off my laptop (wouldn't shut off), flipped my laptop upside down...and I hear the fan flutter. Great. I mess around with it until I can't mess around with it any more- it's 11 pm now. I turned to my reliable Yelp! It's Binh Repaired appeared and it indicated it was open 24/7. So I sent him a message. Surprisingly, he messaged me back within 10 minutes. Impressive. We chatted via text and then a call. He sent me afew videos right away on what to do and not do. When we chatted, I could sense the urgency in his voice. I either get it to him that night, or risk my laptop being damaged next morning. My work is my everything! I live on my laptop:) so it was urgent for me to get this fixed asap. I decided I was going to drop it off. FORTUNATELY for me, he only lived 6 minutes away from me. Yay! I hopped in the car with the hubby and he dropped off my laptop with the charger. He's great with communication and in constant contact. Long story short, it was fixed in about an hour and he recorded the entire video (and sent to me later). I didn't pick it up until the next morning. Binh is amazing and great at what he does! I'm happy I've found my go-to person for any laptop repairs. I asked Binh to repair my broken macbook screen. He was very nice. He quoted me $400. All was well until I asked him when I can drop it off. He initially told me he was gonna be working in Santa Clara the next day so I asked when would he be in Milpitas because I live in Milpitas too. I basically told him I can drop it off when I am not working (I work 3x 12 hour shifts and wanted to drop it on my day off) and he got real snarky with me saying he works 24/7, saying it as if he works harder than me and is better than me. Extremely condescending. Super rude and unprofessional and makes unnecessary comments! Don't go to Geek if you have Binh :-) I've just got my boot drive replaced and back to business in 2 hours. Exceptional service. What piss me off is that Geek Squad told me to leave my computer to them for 2-3 days and cost me $400 to replace my drive just labor! I asked them why. Hi, I recently bought MacBook Pro Mid 2015 15" model thru Craigslist but the guy didn't mention me about the problem. When I slightly move The whole MacBook to the left side, screen goes black. I was so worried. After little search on Yelp, I stumbled upon Binh. I sent a message to him yesterday around 1am since I couldn't sleep because of this issue. I explained my problem to him, When I move MacBook body left side of my laptop stand, screen goes black or sometimes when I tilt also screen goes black. I have tried SMC, PRAM reset but didn't help. It came with Catalina Version but I also tried to downgrade it to Mojave to see whether it helps or not but didn't help it at all. Binh asked a little picture from me to understand the problem better, I send a video and pictures. After that he asked me whether there are any magnets around my Macbook, so I have checked my laptop lap desk and found 8 pcs little magnets on my lap desk storage compartment. I removed those magnets and also tried on different surface, voila problem solved without even going to the his place, he helped me in the middle of the night. Hats off to him. I really respect his job and experience. He is now my computer guy for this kind of problems. I also asked him how much I owed to him. He asked very reasonable price, I paid him thru Zelle. So I was doing some research about what business to go to for fixing my computer. It hasn't worked in over a year due to an accident and I thought the hard drive was destroyed. I saw all the positive reviews about Binh's business and decided that this would probably be be the best decision to go through. I'm glad I went through with that decision! Binh not only fixed my computer, but made it function much faster than it originally was! My computer brand in particular aren't good with having decent SSD's which was another thing I learned while having my computer repaired by him. I don't know much about computers, but Binh assisted me with educating me on the subject. He also did not try to rip me off. A good example of this is he let me know whether or not he could fix it and did not try to initially get me to just hand my computer over immediately. He also was kind enough to pick up and drop off my computer after he repaired it. This is really important due to my crazy work schedule. Overall, I'll probably be contacting only Binh in the future regarding anymore computer issues. He was helpful, courteous, and texted (this also REALLY helped since I'm assuming he's closer to my age and we all prefer efficiency of texting). Plus, he let me know every step in the process of his repairing my computer, including pictures. Also, he's fair in pricing; fair as in after getting quoted from for starting repairs on my computer. He didn't try to charge me an insane amount of money like other businesses that are in close proximity to where I live. I did see random negative reviews that are very obviously fake. Mr. Binh repaired my HP Laptop, within the space of 3 days. The fan had blown and the drive was thus heating up. Then there was a lot of dust which was clogging the vents, and he cleaned the vents. Lastly the BIOS was slowing down the Laptop since it was detecting high levels of heat. The Laptop had slowed down considerably, and was crashing each time it came up. And when it would come up, the drive would be so slow, that the machine was unusable. Mr. Binh fixed the vents, replaced the battery and fixed the main problems first. Then he procured a new solid-state drive to replace the old disk drive and now the Laptop works fast, efficiently, and more importantly the new fans are working well to cool it down. He also offered a piece of important advice which I had not considered before, that periodically I should let the Laptop run un-plugged so that the battery charging mechanism gets working too and the machine does not get over-heated. TRUSTWORTHY!! If you're looking for any electronic service, Binh is the ONE! Not only are you going to save your money, you'll save a ton of time too! I've already went to him once early 2019 for a Macbook Pro (15-inch, Retina Display, Mid-2014) screen replacement. This was when COVID-19 didn't exist yet! He's very honest with his work. He did the screen replacement right in front of us, and there is no suspicion at all. I did have an issue with the screen at first, where the screen was coming off. However, it was mostly the screen manufacturer's error, rather than Binh's. I texted Binh about the issue and he gladly replaced it with a brand new screen with no extra cost in a timely manner. Just a couple days ago, I wanted to also replace my battery. I was looking at different electronic businesses, although I knew that I still wanted to go to Binh, and Binh was still the cheapest offer! I got a quote from Binh and the Macbook replacement was only $150 for parts AND labor, compared to getting it done at the Apple store for almost $400-$500. When the day arrived to get my battery replaced, Binh was willing to do it ASAP (which is what I wanted). Since of COVID-19, he has changed from the front door entrance to the side door entrance. I'm posting this review very late. Binh helped me with my Macbook Pro in 2019. It took a long time to figure out the actual issue as it was very hard to reproduce. I was in contact with Binh for couple of months. He is very nice and helpful person. Binh and his friend were finally able to pin-point the issue. He also suggested me to check with Apple customer care, as the issue which my laptop had was costly job (replacement of board). I shared with him the cost with Apple care were asking for and he suggested to go with Apple care as it was cheaper as compare to the price he got.
