Once again, my Saturn decided to let me down just as I was getting back on my feet. Basically, after buying a $80 battery, and my car still wouldn't start, I knew I had to go to my mechanic and in order to take it to my mechanic, I had to get it towed there. Since I've been Yelping lately I figured I try a different towing company with the help of fellow Yelpers. Even thought itowing only had one review (A 5 star review that is), I automatically had a good feeling about it and decided to call. John, which is the owner, told me he had a special right now which consisted of a $45 hookup fee and 5 miles free to my destination. I instantly knew it couldn't get better than this. I liked the special deal and I saved $15 which was good. Along the ride to my mechanic, John and I started chatting up and hes a professional, friendly person who can carry on a conversation. Overall, he arrived quickly, was professional, was careful while hooking up my car and it was cheap and of course I felt comfortable. This is a genuine small business that I would recommend if towing is needed within the South Bay of San Diego. Might find a cheaper quote somewhere else but let me assure you the service from John will be worth the extra few bucks. It would be better if he could operate a little later than 6 P.M. since I contacted him only 20 minutes before he was about to end his shift. John is the man though. He was out and helping me with my car that wouldn't start because of a faulty starter. He was very knowledgeable about engine motors and tried a few times to directly strike the starter as to change its position in hopes of re-jumping it. His attempts along with mine were both unsuccessful but he earned my trust and glad he was there to tow the car in the end. I guess all the other 5 star reviews influenced me to award the perfect 5-star rating even though I try and limit how those are handed out. Absolutely recommend iTowing! I walked out of Target to find that my key wouldn't go into my ignition at all....turns out the ignition cylinder had broken so the key couldn't even be inserted. The solution: have it towed to the dealer to be replaced. I called iTowing and talked to John. He told me he would be there in 20 minutes and arrived in 15. When he got there, there was a car parked in front of me so we needed to find a way to push my car out so he could tow it from the front. Since it was in park, he had to manually release the gear shift. He wasn't able to do it on the first try, so he looked it up on YouTube (for my specific car) and popped it into neutral. He pushed the car out and had it hooked up in no time! I followed him to the dealer and paid a very reasonable amount for the service. I obviously hope I don't need towing anytime again soon, but I would call iTowing in a heartbeat if I did! read more

He answered his phone promptly, gave me an accurate quote, and showed up in a reasonable amount of time. John was courteous, professional, and cheerful at all times. Ahhh, I locked my keys in my car (hate it when that happens). I was expecting it to cost more, but they came and unlocked them for $35. They were quick (15 minutes or so), friendly and accepted credit cards. Totally recommend them. read more

I was in a desperate situation I called a few company's in San Diego and this is the only one that would come and "help" the guy came out in a old truck that would keep stalling after he got my car hooked up. Finally made it to the shop and he told me it was going to be $120.00 he towed me for 3 miles. I was also told if I don't pay he would take my car to his impound lot. read more

His truck isn't a flatbed but he comes prepared with wheel dollies in case you have a 4WD or AWD car, truck or SUV. I called iTowing when i couldn't start my car when it was parked at UCSD in La Jolla. Something was wrong with my ignition and I couldn't turn the key. The owner John said that he would meet me after towing another vehicle. He met me with in an hour and he was able to tow my car out of a parking lot while the steering wheel was locked!
