SHOCKINGLY HORRIBLE. 1. I asked for the Ipad to be repaired by EOD the following day in order for us to take it back home on the following morning's flight. IT WAS NOT READY BY EOD. 2. I picked it up the NEXT day. THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG IPAD. As we are driving toward the airport, my grandson noticed his apps weren't loaded. It was because THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG IPAD. 3. The work was CRAP. - There are gobs of glue on the edges of the screen. - The main button NO LONGER WORKS PROPERLY. NOPE! Went in for a simple battery replacement for my iPod Classic. (Don't laugh. I love my iPod Classic.) A few days later, I got the call that my device was ready. I asked the gentleman if it was working fine, and he responded that he didn't know because they didn't have headphones for an iPod. This should've been my first red flag. Wait... you call yourself a "Cellphone & Computer Repair" shop, and you don't have a single pair of headphones? OK. I went in later to pick it up. $65 later, I'm handed a non-working iPod with no explanation. The only thing that DID work was the red warning to log in the apple.com. Again, this begs another serious question: Why was this not hooked up to an alternate power source to see if the new battery was necessary? S.O.P., boys, but no. Takes me back to 2 years ago when they handed me back a non-working laptop that was only in for a virus scan/cleaning. Only later did I find out that the hard drive was just bouncing around loose upon job completion. Certainly wasn't that way when I brought it in. They just neglect to put it back together properly. I brought in a simple solder repair. They couldn't provide a price estimate when I dropped off my item but committed to calling me before a repair to verify I wanted it at that price. They called 6 hrs later and had completed the repair and told me to come pick it up. $50 for a simple solder repair. I could've bought a replacement for cheaper. AND it stopped working a day later. When you enter this store, looking to solve some business problem, you will instantly be put at ease by a warm smile. Don't let the compact merchandising section fool you. There is a lab in back and they will tackle phone and computer problems quickly and reasonably. I have a stack of disabled windows based laptops that have served me over the last 6 years. I brought one, a Dell I3 over because the charging port was clearly broken. They have a variety of chargers in the lab and are not intimidated by power issues. This place is horrible! I bought my brand new iPad to have fixed because it had a crack in it back in January. Along with other items from the school. Even paid him in full for all items. Mind you because the iPad was new the screen itself was going to be around $900. Paid that in full. Every time I called or went to check on the iPad and other items I always got the runaround. They never called me back and it's been almost a year since I've seen the iPad and other items from the school. Very bad business would not recommend! Came in with a faulty screen, the girl who attended me let me know she would try to fix it if not the screen would be $95. I just assumed they would tell me I'd have to buy a new one ( how would I know the truth) anyway within a few minutes she fixed my screen and let me know it was fine and I didn't need a new screen. Do not take your device to these rip off artists. Took in my 1st generation 12.9 inch iPad for a screen replacement; as it was cracked. The device worked perfectly when I left it with these chumps, just had damaged screen. Over 6 weeks time they have had to replace the screen 6 times, because every time after picking it up, it worked for a day or two, then the touch screen stopped working or it locked up. After the 6th time of them replacing the screen, the iPad would no longer charge, they damaged something with the device (battery, motherboard or charging port???) and would take no responsibility for it, said the battery was now bad (even though it worked perfectly before I dropped it off) but they said they had done nothing to cause it. It just mysteriously stopped functioning after they worked on it??? Give me a break, they broke it. These guys have terrible customer service to boot, never call you back when they say, never complete the job when they say, and then break your item and ask you to pay even more to fix what they have broken. What a joke. Consulted with another vendor that does repairs and they said that Iteck definitely damaged the item. Message to Pedro and Alfred: take responsibility for your actions and errors and make things right. You need to fix the issue you have caused at no cost. I damaged the screen, thus I paid to have that fixed. You guys need to rectify the issue YOU CAUSED!!! read more

Poor communication between the front desk help and the techs in back seemed to have contributed to my not receiving the necessary service I went in for. Uploading Mojave OS to my 2017 MacAir two months ago, disabled many of my keys. From what I read on-line, this was a common issue with Mojave, and the only solution to reestablish a fully-functioning keyboard, is to delete Mojave OS and return to the device's original OS. So I went in at 9:30 am to ITeck where I was met by a pleasant gal at the front desk. She filled out a work order for the tech coming in at 11:00. I explained to her how I needed to have Mojave OS removed from the device, as it had disabled my keyboard. I was also leaving my tabletop MAC's external keyboard with them should they need to use it when working on the device. The gal explained that by eliminating Mojave, it would wipe out everything stored on my laptop, so I told her that I understood that and that I had backed it up on an external device. I just needed to have use of my keyboard again and I wanted to save a trip to the Apple Store in Orlando to delete Mojave. She said it would be done by end of day. It was ready by 2:00 and when I went to pick up the device, the tech who brought it out to me just handed it back, closed up, and headed to the cash register to ring me up. I asked if the device's keyboard had been restored, he did not say one way or another, but responded with, "Oh, we were wondering why the keyboard was with it." This told me that the techs who received the job had no idea that the reason I brought the device in was because my keyboard had become disabled. I opened up the laptop and saw the Mojave logo on the desktop, although it was darkened. I was not sure what that meant. I asked him if they had deleted Mojave, and he said that everything had been taken off. Frankly, he did not seem concerned about whether the work had been done right or not, as he continued to ring me up. I asked him if High Sierra was now the OS on there and he insisted that whatever my original OS was, is still on there, but everything else has been deleted. Because I was not hooked up to the internet, I could not do much typing with the keyboard in the store, but I tried typing in a search window and keys seemed to work, but I did not try all of the keys. I was concerned, but was in a hurry to take my boyfriend to a doctor's appointment in Titusville, so I paid the $60 for the job, as agreed. Well, as it turns out, Mojave was never deleted from my laptop and all of the far right and far left keys on my keyboard are still not functioning. So, basically, I paid good money for them to NOT HAVE DONE WHAT I ASKED, AND to have contents of my laptop wiped clean, on top of that. The only saving grace to this story is that the external keyboard and mouse are working more efficiently now that the device is empty, so I can at least use it in that less-than-ideal capacity. In the end, I can't even say if this group of techs have the ability to successfully service MACs, because my issue was not solved by them. It may be more of a phone repair outfit, can't say for sure. From now on, it's an advance appointment at the Genius Bar for this Apple girl. Lesson learned. read more
