We made a reservation, and although the place wasn't very full when we arrived, the atmosphere felt relaxed. I appreciated the coat rack at the entrance. The gyoza had a fun ravioli-like shape, and my bolognese was served with Japanese udon noodles instead of spaghetti, which was a delicious twist. We ended the night at the bar with drinks. The espresso martini was made with fresh coffee grounds, which was especially flavorful. Friendly, accommodating staff and a great overall experience. Would definitely return!

Wow! Have been meaning to try this Japanese Italian fusion restaurant and it did not disappoint! The restaurant itself has an interesting set up with a dining room on one side and bar seating on the other separated by the main corridor. We came on a Friday night for dinner and was seated promptly without a reservation and it didn't seem to be very busy either. The service was great, we were able to order our food at the bar. We started with the rai chi hai cocktail and pearl essence. Would have loved to try the Saturn in retrograde but they had some menu changes they were going through and hadn't updated everything yet. Both were very good. We got the cacio e Pepe gyoza, the squid ink spaghetti, and the chicken yakitori pasta. The gyoza were delicious! So crispy and the pasta inside was so warm and cheesy topped with a nice marinara. The squid ink was so good. I loved the sauce it came in and the salmon roe added such a nice butteriness to each bite. They have an extensive drink list as well. Would love to see this place get some more traction!

This restaurant is new to the region and difficult to categorize since it serves up Japanese-Italian fusion cuisine. While it is arguably the first of its kind in the Capital Region, this cuisine is common in Japan where it is known as,"Itameshi." The restaurant is located in a beautiful space below a new apartment building on Broadway. The decor is tasteful. Elegant. The bar is to the left when you walk in. The dining area is to the right. That's where we headed. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived. We were shown a coat rack where we could hang up our coats. Our server led us a nice table and helped us understand the menu. I asked for the dish that had the most fusion. That would be the shrimp scampi ramen dish topped with seaweed salad. It was wonderful. I'm quite certain that my ramen had some cheese mixed in because the strands stuck together. The man eating the same dish at the next table agreed. We mentioned it to the server because that's not listed on the menu. My friend had the pork chop with ziti. It was mostly Italian except that the pork chop was breaded with panko and not bread crumbs. Nevertheless, it was great. There was a shrimp appetizer. It's not currently listed on the menu but I think it used to be. They were able to make it for us. It was very good. What to drink? I tried the little boxed Lucky Dog sake. I was the first customer to try it! I loved it including the fact that it was a little bit sweet. Coffees and limoncello cake rounded off our awesome meal. I'm not sure where the fusion was with the cake but it was delicious especially since with was covered in whip cream and chocolate sauce. A great meal. We'll come back for more. Thanks.

Excellent experience! Served (Lauren) was very attentive, knowledgeable and efficient! Described the menu items in detail and was able to communicate adjustments for an allergy with ease, thank you! We had the salmon, steak, chicken and ramen. Everything came out pretty quick, very tasty and we all loved the original fusion spin. Highly recommend trying a fusion space that does it right.

Fantastic service, amazing food, and very nice concept. A little more upscale than most other places without being overpriced.

The prices are reasonable and the service is amazing!! I went recently and had Rachel and Nash taking care of me and they were amazing. Rachel is so bubbly and radiates happiness! Their drink menu is pretty big, they are an "open" bar but the liquor they use is made locally so they only use one brand so in that way you are limited BUT the drinks are still delicious. I had the Lady's Limoncello which is featured in the little boomerang I posted. They do give you complementary trail mix (not sure what to call it - can also be seen in the background on the video) and I think that's amazing. They don't have a food menu so it's nice to have a little snack while you drink. I came from out of state and I would love to go back. Loved the experience and the staff! Also Rachel makes an amazing pina colada shot!!! It was my friend's birthday and she made us a couple of shots and they were so yummy!!

After going back and forth with the menu that is full of great options, I ordered the Bistec Encebollado, grilled veggies, rice and pigeon peas, and plantains. The steak was so big, I totally left with a second meal. My husband ordered peppered steak, mashed potatoes and grilled veggies, and that was also a large serving. Both meats were juicy, tender, and well seasoned. The mashed potatoes were freshly mashed and perfectly seasoned, as were the vegetables, and the plantains were nice and sweet. I will definitely be coming back. The vibe was nice, and the food was delicious!

I was warmly greeted, seated, and given a menu and then it took some time, well after I was ready, to be visited to place my order. No biggie, but I was ready and it wasn't busy, with guests at 1 other table. When I finished my meal, I waited again. Not a huge problem but a lot of side work was being done vs providing service. I let server know I was all set and he acknowledged then continued to make drinks for kitchen staff. I had ordered lemonade but after checking, it looked like they were out, so he offered the juice (without explaining). Food was very tasty. Lunch was $37 before tip, for 3 tacos meal, 3 empanadas app, and the fruit drink.

The building itself is impressive, although maybe not quite as impressive as the castle-looking building next door. Our party of seven settled in at the bar as there otherwise did not seem to be a large enough table for all of us to gather around in either the main lounge area or a small room off to the side. The dark wood paneled walls, large fireplace, assortment of easy chairs, couches, and high desktop table gave off a feeling of warmth and welcoming. The friendly bartender introduced herself (sorry I've forgotten her name) and informed us that spirit-wise, the bar was capable of preparing the standard, traditional drinks like Manhattans, martinis, etc. All beers were poured from cans, and at my request, she recited the names of about six that were available. I don't believe anyone in our party inquired about the wines that were available. The building simply calls out for an explanation of its history. Upon our request, the bartender offered to provide either the "brief" or "full" option. We requested the full history. She was obviously well up to the task. You would be amazed at the variety of things you could learn here. Just to touch on a few key topics that were mentioned, consider Alexander Hamilton's wife, puffed rice, Bab-o cleanser (cue up the jingle), Bishop Gibbons, and an orthopedic surgeon. I don't know what the normal food arrangements are in the Lounge. I'm guessing that our out-of-town hosts requested some snacks for us as a few bowls appeared with mixed nuts, crackers and cheese, fresh grapes, humus, and warm pretzel/croissant rolls, and a plate of prosciutto wrapped cream cheese. Overall, the atmosphere here is simply friendly and inviting. I think it will become an occasional gathering place for our local friends when looking for a place that is quiet and relaxing.

I should have checked the menu first but I assumed, based on my last experience, that there'd be plenty of delightful options. Well I was shocked to find not one dish on the dinner menu that called out to me! Small menus can usually still provide good variety but all they had were hunks of meat (steak, salmon, chicken breast) or burgers. Last time I had ravioli, so I thought there'd be at least one pasta or sandwich option on the menu. I took a look at their lunch menu - tons of variety. I wish they offered some of those options at dinner time. I ended up going with the burrata salad, it was good, but not really a full dinner meal. The food itself is well prepared and nicely presented. The place is looking pretty shabby, usually I really don't care about "aesthetics" and am all for some well loved furniture but the chairs were so worn out that it detracts from the classy vibe they seem to be trying to give off. All in all, not a bad meal but unless they revamp the menu, I don't think I'd bother coming back.

Decided to give a try. The place is a total vibe, dont let the outside and area fool you! It had been a long day by the time we got here, did the outlets all day long and I was coming down with a cold. Ordered a ton of apps, Crab rangoon dip is GOOOOOODDDD!!!!... Ordered Calamari that apparently I didnt get a pic of, but It was good also. I think we got wings, but I truly cant remember. I got the risotto, I didnt love it but the Shrimp were delish, it had a super strong after taste flavor that I didnt love but couldnt truly put my finger on, Hubby said his pasta was good, but just needed "something". Would def go back just not sure how often we'd be in the area. Drink menu was super extensive and they were great as well. But the response was so nice and accommodating from the staff. Def worth a try, just be patient with parking, it was slightly chaotic, or that night we just happened to encounter all the people in the are who couldnt drive in tight spaces, LOL!
