The food was a 3+ overall as usual. The high points are a very fresh salad, really good tasting bread/roll on the steak subs and garlic knots, and their cannolis are delicious. However, the customer service is sorely lacking. I accidentally didn't push the delivery option while ordering on line, but I did give the driver a $10.00 tip for the 2 mile drive. I called and explained and asked if they could please have it delivered. At first I was told "no." When I asked why, she said there was a $3.00 delivery charge. I offered to send the $3.00 back with the driver. We only had $2.20, but the driver said that was fine. We found they didn't include the ranch dressing for the salad, for which they charge $.75. I called back and told them about the delivery fee and missing salad dressing, and that believe I now owed them $.05, which I would bring by soon. She never apologized for the missing dressing and just said we won't be able to do this in the future. I believe I won't be able to order there in the future. My husband and I stopped here while driving through Middletown. This place is okay. You'll leave full without spending too much, and it's honestly decent for a small place off the highway. I was a bit disappointed by our appetizers. The garlic knots were over cooked. The knots and mozzarella sticks looked and tasted like they were frozen and not made in house. The salad was a small bed of iceberg with some chopped onions on top, not exactly the nutrition I was hoping to add to my fried Italian meal. Then came the eggplant rollantini that saved the experience. There were parts of the eggplant that were definitely undercooked and slimy, but the majority of the dish was delicious, filled with a ton of cheese and spinach. The spaghetti, however, had marinara sauce that tasted more like tomato soup than marinara or tomato sauce. That's the best way I can describe it. Well, I probably won't be back, but if you find yourself stopping in, maybe give the rollantini a try. read more

3 words...Old Bay Wings. These wings changed the way I make wings at home. Also really good if you're looking for a near NY Alize of pizza. Thy are not shy with the toppings if you ask for 2x anything. I don't recommend going with triple cheese however. It's was so much cheese! To be fair though I misunderstood the order and they even called to verify I wanted triple cheese, so that one is one me. So kudos to the customer service on that one. read more

Food is meh! I can't say it's to die for or that is awful because it's neither. It's mediocre at best. I ordered the appetizer sampler which came with a good variety of fried items however the items were all over cooked and you could see that it was over cooked so I don't know why it was served. I told the waitress and she brought the food back to the kitchen just to return with the same plate at the point I said I don't want it and I ate my pizza and went on my way. read more

My husband and I travel a lot and we always like to give local restaurants the business and most of the time we are happy, but not with this place. I was really disappointed in not only the food, but the staff including the manager. I ordered a Stromboli, which came out looking like a calzone, and when I pointed it out our waitress was argumentative about it and so was the manager and he told us that was the way he would make stromboli when he was making them. I even showed them a picture of a Stromboli next to a calzone, but they were just not doing anything but being argumentative. Then my husband's order (chicken parmigiana) was cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen and when he finally got the rolls that were supposed to come with the meal, he had to ask for them, the bottoms were hard as rocks. Located in a little strip mall, Italian Touch is like a hidden gem for great food. When you come in, you seat yourself and are greeted by your server. This place serves pizza done just right! My family all agree that the pizza from here is their favorite! Italian Touch has several varieties of pizza, but our favorite is anything super crispy, thin crust. The garlic knots they serve are amazing. The kids eat those up and ask for seconds or thirds! The gyros are great, too! We have yet to try the Fatboys, but I'm sure they are yummyyyy. The prices are reasonable for the quality food you are served. As far as service goes, the wait staff is very attentive, and if you're a regular (which I'd like to think I am) they remember your favorites :). The manager is very personable and checks up on the tables- he has a great rapport with everyone. Friendly and personable staff make for another reason to check this place out! *Update! Lunchtime in Middletown takes me to Italian Touch! I have been here a few times & the food is always good. This time I tried the lunch special of 10 Fatboys with 2 toppings with a drink for $6.99. I chose pepperoni and sausage for my 2 toppings. Garlic bread came out while I waited. It was a large portion and was very good. I've had pizza from here many times, also very good. Well, where do I begin... first off kudos to the self proclaimed bus boy who also turned out to be the pizza maker! When the manager came over and greeted us, took our drink order, so far so good, he promised the server would be along soon....didn't happen. The special board had a special listed for five dollars. On the bill, it came up as $6.99. I asked the server, and she confirmed it was a mistake and went to talk to the manager. The manger said that the sign was wrong and did not alter the charge. I'm pretty sure this is illegal, but I didn't feel like getting into a fight over two dollars. At the least, it's a pretty awful policy that says you don't care about your customers. Never in my life have I seen a posted price, ordered something, and then been told that I'm being charged a higher price. I was also denied an alcohol sale because of a vertical ID. This is odd.... but I guess you have the right to make any silly policy you want. However, I was told that this was a state law, and that every person in the past who served me with a vertical ID was breaking the law. This was a lie. There is no such law. If you choose to have a strange policy, there's no need to lie about it, especially in such a way that implies that other businesses are run by criminals. read more

Today my rating is one star. I've been here for lunch many times and it has always been good. Today I ordered Southwest Eggrolls. My friend ordered Calamari. It was a substantial wait for the 2 appetizers. Both orders were over fried, the French fries were warm and not totally cooked. Our waitress, walked by and never asked how things were, just looked and walked away. We had to ask for our check, and when received she put it on the table and walked away, not a word. We paid, she came, picked up our payment, not a word. She returned with our receipt and again not a word of "Do you want take out containers (we had almost full plates)", nor a thank you for coming. Our bill $28+ should have gotten us at least a Thank you for coming. If I had not been here before, and knew the food and service was good, I would never go back. This place kind of reminds me of the little pizza/sub shops that used to be everywhere in the 80s, at least in the falls church/arlington area where I grew up. It's a pretty basic place with a pretty basic menu, the kind you could pretty much predict 99% of what's on it. I've only had the pizza and cheesesteaks. The cheesesteak and pizza cheesesteak subs are very good, again "old school", like something you might find on a beach boardwalk somewhere. The pizza is also surprisingly good... NY style. Good pizza, but bad service. I ordered a pizza for delivery and after an hour and a half of waiting I called them to see what was going on. The man said something happened and he wasn't going to bother me with the details. He told me he would put in my account that the next time I ordered a pizza, it would be free. When I finally got the pizza it was cold. The next day I called to claim my free pizza and they had no idea what I was talking about. They said they would take my word for it but on my receipt it says "no free pizza" under my account info, like they didn't believe me and I was scamming them. If there's one thing I don't like it's being called a liar, so if you tell someone the get something free they should back it up. Had lunch here today. It doesn't look like much from the outside. The inside isn't too impressive either. Not exactly cozy. But, the menu was extensive. It took a while to go through all of it. My companion had a serving of meatballs she said was very good, much better than another well known Italian place. I had an appetizer of eggplant rollitini. It turned out to be 3 large eggplant, lightly breaded and stuffed with ricotta cheese and fresh spinach, in a well seasoned marinara sauce. There was so much I can't imagine what the meal size would be. Also served were garlic knots, brushed with butter, garlic and herbs to dip in the sauce that was also served. Some friends happened by and claimed they ate there often and liked everything. This was our first time and for sure will make the trip to dine here again in order to try something else. It will be hard to pull me away from the eggplant rollitini though. read more
