Nice little grocery & deli! Jerk chicken, Ox Tail, rice and beans, cabbage with veggies and way more. This is the place to go for Jamaican food ! Also students at LFCC the owner said possibly a discount in the near future. Great spot. Staff is very friendly and answers any questions about the food. Check it out!!!!

After a very long hike in the morning, the wife and I decided to pick up something for lunch. And while looking for something new in the area, the wife decided to give this place a shot. We stopped by the place which is tucked in between some other warehouse stores, in the corner, not on the main road. We decided to order our food and Chef Pat was so kind and professional, he stopped by our car in the parking lot as we were struggling to find the place. The food we ordered is in the pictures, jerk chicken, Ackee & Saltfish, Mango Rum Cake, conch fritters, plantains and some beans and rice. We were running late, so the chef said they will deliver the food to our place. When the food was delivered to us, there was some miscommunication between what was ordered vs. delivered. However, when we called them, they apologized for the mistake and took care of it right away. After all this, I was, tbh, a little upset. And we sat down to open our delivery boxes since we were super hungry. As the lids opened, the aroma of the food filled the area. My frown turned into a smile right away. Now, I was getting excited to try the food, everything was packed very nicely for delivery, & was still nice and warm. Once we started tasting the dishes, I was floored. I have to say, by far, very very far, this is the best Caribbean food I have had in the US, thus far. The jerk chicken is cooked to perfection, I believe the chef mentioned they make it fresh everyday. The plantains were just so amazing, caramelized to perfection. The conch fritters were a perfect accompaniment with a sweet and spicy sauce. What truly left me speechless was the ackee and Saltfish, I cannot even begin to describe how good that dish was. I am a fan of Caribbean food now, if it's this good! To finish off, we split the Mango Rum Cake, where all we kept saying, after every bite was "yummm", as we kept closing our eyes to experience that perfect finishing touch to our meal. The food was cooked with a lot of skill, care and tons of love. The staff is coming up to speed and being trained, but the attitude of the chef is super professional and customer care oriented. A Hell Yeah 5 Star Review! Will keep going here, for sure. Wish you much success...!!!

Island Food To Go is an operation ran by Chef Pat, and you can really taste the authenticity in his food. You pre-order via calling the number or directly texting the number that is provided and then you can pick up the food curb-side, or you can have it delivered to your home. The jerk chicken was mind-blowingly good; the jerk marinade was so well-balanced and it had just the right amount of heat for my taste. The salt-fish and ackee dish was so delicious! Combine that with the red beans and rice and you have a comforting and delicious meal that is soul-satisfying. With each entree you have a choice of either white rice, yellow rice or red beans and rice. The mango rum cake we ordered was moist, buttery and perfectly baked. I can't wait to order their caribbean spice cake next time. There was a massive mix-up in terms of what was charged and what was actually delivered when the delivery driver delivered our food, but the business owner was quick to rectify the driver's mistake. They are still fairly new and fine-tuning their logistics, but with their level of professionalism and superior quality of food, I see this place becoming a big success. Can't wait to order my next meal from them!

It was our first time here and we couldn't decide what we wanted. After drooling over the plates that went by, we asked the owner to help us narrow down our options. We landed on the Chicharron Sampler for an appetizer. For our main courses, we had the Bandeja Paisa and the Paella Caribena. We were also eyeing the Dominican-style beef stew and the Sancocho Soup. We asked for a sample of the Sancocho soup and that's when we found out they make everything to order - including the soup! His wife went into the kitchen and whipped up a sample of the soup ... we didn't mind the wait for the sample as we knew she was working her magic! It did not disappoint. We ordered a large soup to go! It'll be cold later this week and this will be perfect in the rainy weather. This place reminds me of home - the way my mother cooks ... the flavors are developed and everything was cooked to perfection. I did a little dance in my chair with each bite! The portions were large - we'll have left overs for the next several days! And I CANNOT wait! We're looking forward to coming back and trying something new! PHOTO DISCLOSURE: We dove into the Chicharron Sampler before we took the photo. What you see is just a small portion of the actual serving size. Also, the photo of the soup was the made from scratch made to order sample of the Sancocho soup.

Its a DR and PR restaurant specializing in that cuisine. Menu was limited not alot of either cuisine. The server was very nice and made sure we were sat right away. We ordered and the food was good. For a Puerto Rican and Dominican Restaurant the restaurant didnt have alot of decor that indicated it was that type if restaurant with that type of cuisine. Overall a nice place with decent cuisine.

I think most people would like this. I did not. But I hate ketchup. I'm not a good person to judge it. The pork bellies were good. They had a lot of meat on them. More so than other pork bellies that I have had at several other restaurants. They were very tasty but a little tough. I think a little marinating could resolve that. They had a wonderful crisp to them. The yuka fries were fantastic! Super crunchy on the outside and super soft and delicious on the inside. Yuka makes the best fries. The plantains were ok. Normally, ripe plantains are sweet and soft. These were not as sweet as they normally and were a bit too firm. The flan was great. It had a lovely silky texture and had a wonderful caramel flavor. I would definitely come here again. I would recommend anyone try it.

I had a negative experience at their newly opened location and the owner never bothered to speak with me about it or make things right despite good faith efforts to reach him. My order was cancelled after already confirming with their staff that the order would be made. Then they cancelled it saying the items were out of stock after waiting an hour. How is that even possible? I guess you don't cook the food or check until the dasher arrives? I am appalled at the way the owner treated the situation by ultimately deciding not to make things right. I left messages and made good faith attempts to contact the owner to ask if I could discuss my experience. He decided to call me once during a time when I said I wasn't available (which I told their staff to inform the owner) and when I tried to contact him at the agreed upon time he didn't respond. The most shocking part is that the manager told me the owner is ultimately not going to address the experience due to a negative Google review I posted. Reviews are supposed to be honest experiences of customers and not be held or used against the customer in an effort to make a bad experience right. With Jamaican breeze, they do NOT care about the customer experience and take reviews too personally, which is alarming. This is unprofessional and disappointing and not at all how you attract or retain customers. For the prices they charge it's not worth your time, money, or the hassle to deal with poor service such as this. I would NOT recommend if you want reliable, cheaper, better value, and tastier Jamaican food go check out Jammin Island BBQ in Springfield they have never disappointed.
