This is my go-to McDonalds. Best fries around. The food is always hot and presented in an appealing way. I didn't get a photo of the quarter pounder because it was eaten so fast but these are my nuggets. This is how they "plated" them. The burger was picture perfect too. I had a friend who worked here for a few months and her experience was god awful so I thought I should bring it to light! All the staff talks very poorly behind each other's backs and I have heard just about all of it, it is gross!! There are grown women WITH CHILDREN talking about a minor?! Calling her crazy, and continually speaking about her although she had quit I still can't get over the fact it is grown adults worried about what a minor has going on, very weird. All the staff plays both sides to everyone's story too, they will tell you you're doing so well, you're doing great, etc but will turn around and talk about how bad someone is at their job. Honorable mentions, the general manager Julie Taylor had said to my friend and I quote: "If you were my daughter talking to me like this i'd pop you in the mouth" Mind you this was said because my friend had left a note on her desk and she sensed "attitude" my friend was crying in the break room as the manager said this to her. Another mention is the fact that most the managers continue to talk about her when she doesn't even work there anymore. Again I say, GROWN WOMEN WITH KIDS!! MARRIED WOMEN!! Why are you worried about what a MINOR has going on. a MINOR you knew nothing about. also managers??! grow up. They will tell you not to come to work when sick but will threaten to write you up if you don't bring a drs note. nobody goes to the dr for every little sniffle or cough!! You'll get told the same thing: drink water take Tylenol and rest. Their supervisor never fails to communicate everything that is broken to the owners. Julie's daughters work there and they are biased, always getting sent home first / early and can call off whenever without a needed note. Another thing is certain managers will know about a persons mental health issues / anger issues and purposely push their buttons, accuse them of lying, and make the rudest ignorant jokes about it. My friend had to train herself on everything except 1st window because nobody cared to do so. she learned everything herself yet was constantly discredited. there is lots of other staff who also are discredited did i mention mice issue? overall this workplace is gross literally and figuratively, the people (most not all) are extremely toxic and disgusting towards the younger staff. it is unacceptable and unprofessional to be speaking on a former employee who is under the age of 18 that's highly inappropriate. they also will quite literally hire anybody and will fire good workers rather than ones who don't benefit the workplace. they constantly cut corners like re-drop fry's when people ask for them fresh... just a highly toxic, unprofessional, weird, uncomfortable, depressing environment. read more

This McDonald's is unlike any other one and I'll tell you why. It's kind of sad that it's come to this however no matter what day or time I order from here the food is always hot, the fries are fresh and if I ask for the fries with no salt they come with no salt. Most McDonald's I order from always has something missing or something wrong on the order but not this one. The employees are kind, professional and efficient. Bravo to this McDonalds for being awesome and clean !!!! read more

Stopped in here for a late breakfast on the drive from Haymarket to Winchester - hit the Drive Thru. It was almost 11:00 am on a Tuesday morning. Ordered a Sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit - with extra cheese - and a bottle of cold water. The breakfast sandwich was hot and tasty when I unwrapped it! Whoa!!! Is this a McDonalds, or did I just step into the lobby of an upscale hotel? No more hard concrete tables and benches outside, no more swinging or rotating hard plastic yellow and red seats inside, no more cartoon character decals on the wall. They've been replaced with individual outdoor tables and chairs, plush leather booths and barstools, and warm wood paneling. The food is still reliably the same, the prices are still affordable, the wireless is still free, and the staff, although a bit slower than I'm used to in the big city, more than made up for it in friendliness and congeniality (after all it IS Central Virginia, you know). This place has become totally unreliable on hours. Very recently I have found that they were "closed" when I pulled up to the drive through to pick up my mobile order. Today the lobby was locked so drive through or drive away were the options. This place used to be a fairly well run McDonalds but lately it cannot be trusted to be in service. My advice is to just go to another location and not take a chance wasting your time here. I just reported this to corporate, but thought I'd give warning here until hopefully things improve read more

This is the one to visit. We live in Strasburg but always go here. Excellent fast service. I"d give them a 5 except for the doggone ice cream machine that breaks every other week. Memo to ownership: Quit trying to fix this thing and just REPLACE IT. You are going to lose customers once the weather warms up. Get on the ball! read more

I never really rate fast food OR give five stars, but I REALLY like stopping at this McDonald's. Easy in easy out off 81...kind of in the middle of nowhere but always seems to be perfect for when we need to stop. Food is always good and clean, newer facility....but what really makes me happy is how nice the people are! I love the one lady at the register...always so nice!!! read more

McDonald's says their top priorities during the Covid-19 pandemic is "protecting the health and well-being of our and our franchisees' employees and customers". And yet the employees at this location have decided to NOT wear masks or face coverings properly. When one employee was asked why she was wearing her mask below her chin instead of covering her nose and mouth she replied "Well it's on my face." We spoke with a manager named Julie. She said "This is nothing more than the flu. This is all going to go away." She couldn't have been less helpful or less friendly. read more

Didn't expect to find a family run hospitality oriented atmosphere at a McDonald's or any fast food joint... but this place has it! They are very accommodating and friendly, plus the restaurant is impeccably clean and seems well cared for. read more

it's sad the original GM Kym left because this mcdonald's had everything down with the correct order to the T. The girl with the green and brown hair can't seem to tell the difference between a regular mc chicken sandwich verse there new spicy chicken sandwich. How can you call someone a manager that can't also tell a difference between a quarter pounder verse their new regular chicken sandwich with pickles. it's terrible to the point where i have to check my food now down to the correct mc chicken sandwich. read more

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT ORDER THE CHEESE. I came in hungry as a clam, and had a hankering for a good ol' piece of American cheese. Well apparently ordering a piece of cheese is a CRIME in Virginia! I was scolded by the cashier for not understanding the value of a dollar! She proceeded to act very condescending and hesitated to give me my meal. She practically THREW IT AT ME! Then after I got my dinner I noticed that it was COLD! I COULD HARDLY EAT IT. I'm giving two stars solely because of the bathroom. It was like being in the bathroom of a 5-star hotel! Stopped last night on way to work . Ordered mcchicken sandwich, fries tea. Got a mclettuce sandwich ( thats right only lettuce), fries, and tea. Went back this morning and the manager would only refund the sandwich price. I felt whole meal should have been refunded $4.40. This is the 2nd time this location did this. Will not be going back.
