She spent a lot of time with me, until I found the perfect frames! Tarlan told me which frame would best complement the shape of my face and my skin/hair coloring, etc. When I asked her opinion about a specific frame, she answered honestly and explained the reason. (I totally trusted her judgment, because I loved her personal style.) Tarlan also helped me understand all the optional features, such as anti-reflective and UV protection and transition lenses with blue light... I take my eyeglass frames very seriously, because I think of them to be, by far, my most important accessory. Everyone sees them, and you wear them for at least a couple years. They reflect your personality. I know this sounds OCD, but I actually spent hours Googling "Best Eyeglass stores in LA" before I even started shopping. Then I visited at least 5 of the "top 10 eyeglass frame stores" (Lux, Hye, etc.) before l.a.Eyeworks! At the other stores, I found frames that were "just okay." The thing I love most about l.a.Eyeworks (besides working with Tarlan) is that they carry a unique selection of frames you won't find anywhere else! That sounds like a commercial advertisement. LOL. But I really mean it! And did I mention they have a parking lot at their new location?

If visiting, it is definitely a stop as you grab coffee, sandwiches, and check out other hip places in the area. It's trendy in the way that timeless and classic things are trendy. To top it off, the customer service is exceptional. The crew is so nice. They gave my baby, husband, and I little pins as a souvenir. And they helped us choose a pair of sunglasses that my husband has been eyeing and searching for, for a while. We went to elephante, la la land coffee, and a bunch of other popular spots on our weekend trip to LA, but our favorite was shopping and buying a pair of sunglasses at Moscot.
