UPDATE: So 6 months after I got these glasses with the custom nose pads I paid $125 for it turns out that the metal is extremely weakened by oils and SNAPPED OFF completely. These nose pads are clearly not worth the price I paid for them, I certainly hope I can get them replaced for free under some kind of warranty or something read more

In a time where online shopping reigns supreme, it is rare to be reminded of the simple joys of shopping in person. Moscot was such a reminder. The store is laid out beautifully. If visiting, it is definitely a stop as you grab coffee, sandwiches, and check out other hip places in the area. It's trendy in the way that timeless and classic things are trendy. But the glasses themselves are beautiful too. There are so many fun shapes and designs, some vintage looks as well. Somehow these old styles look good on everyone. To top it off, the customer service is exceptional. The crew is so nice. They gave my baby, husband, and I little pins as a souvenir. And they helped us choose a pair of sunglasses that my husband has been eyeing and searching for, for a while. We went to elephante, la la land coffee, and a bunch of other popular spots on our weekend trip to LA, but our favorite was shopping and buying a pair of sunglasses at Moscot. read more

I have been shopping here for the last 6 years. I love the glasses but I really like the staff. They are always extremely nice and extremely helpful. They have a fantastic warranty on the lenses for up to two years. Really can't say enough good things about the team there, they go out of their way to accommodate. Great business! read more

They're still open during construction. If you go on Saturday morning, expect a crazy long line as seen in the image. read more

Joy is an absolute...joy. But truly. The most patient person I've ever met. It was my first time ever trying eyeglasses and she walked me through the different shapes, models and colors, and at a place like Moscow, that's a LOT of options. Downside is parking SUCKS read more

Thanks for the quick adjustment to awesome alive brown frames, Moscot! After updating my prescription and adding new lenses, I purchased beautiful new olive brown frames. Moscot did a great job adjusting the frames after the lenses came in. Always a happy customer. read more

I've been meaning to write this review. I bought a pair of my first Moscots through my optometrist, but visited this location on two occasions to pick them out. The store is in a trendy area of Melrose and the shop is very cool. I've always bought independent eyewear: Garrett Leight, Salts, but wanted to get a pair of Moscots to add to the rotation. Mario helped me both times, but I did solicit some feedback from some of the other crew members who were also helpful. I was so incredibly impressed with Mario's knowledge of glasses, the brand and helping me pick out the style and color. He has a ton of experience in the industry which was apparent. He knows the catalogue like the back of his hand and was able to help me navigate it (because it can be a bit overwhelming for first time customers). He picked out some options that were both in my comfort zone and pushed me outside of it. Ultimately he helped me narrow down to a pair. read more

Came here about a year ago and bought sunglasses with a friend. Came back again recently because my friend lost his old pair. Andre helped us this time we came back. He was very patient with my friend who can be very particular about the pattern on the frames. We spent over an hour in the store while my friend tried many different ones. Andre was very friendly and I appreciated that he brought out several pairs of the same sunglasses for my friend to choose from. Love that they will check the fit of the frames for you and will adjust them so it fits you personally. read more

I went in on a busy saturday to get my (very busted! covered in ceramic slip!) glasses tightened & the woman who helped me was an angel. honestly everyone at this location seems super kind but when she asked me what brought me in all of the words left my brain & she was so patient. I don't know if she could tell I was overstimulated or what but she was so so calm. also my glasses fit better now than they ever have!! read more

I got my lenses done at Costco and they stretched out the frame. I took the frame in and they fixed it in about five minutes. They fit way better now. read more

Terrific experience; enjoyed my entire visit there today. David is the most accommodating host, ever-period. He helped me find a replacement for broken pair of sunglasses that served me well for 6-years. Not only did David find the Lemtosh I wanted, but he found me the correct fitting one. I was so impressed with the service and selection, I bought two pairs of sunglasses; the Lemtosh and a pair of aviators called the Shav Sun. On your next visit, ask for David, but anyone there can help you because the vibe of the place is good. David just had the experience and wherewithall to serve my needs. Thanks again, pal! read more

Their product is incredible, hands down. I've had my pair of Lemtosh for over 4 years, they are in amazing shape. Can't say the same for other pairs of glasses over the years. Just stopped in to get my first Moscot eyeglasses - Mario helped me today and I can't express how great of a shopping experience it was. Kind, welcoming, knowledgeable, honest, patient. My wife and I walked out completely blown away at the level of service - definitely up to par with the high quality product they sell - the combo makes for a 5 star shopping experience. read more

After years of seeing MOSCOT frames on film and T.V. I finally drove to LA to see in person. I have a wide face but the Lemtosh came in so many sizes they looked great. Andre was very helpful. I will be a forever MOSCOT customer! read more

Excellent service and great quality glasses!! We were helped by Joy and she was incredibly kind and knowledgeable! Will be coming back soon! :) read more

I've been a daily glasses wearer for 15+ years and have purchased frames from almost everywhere, with an experience ranging from frustrating to fine. Not until today did I ever consider it a pleasure. Mario at Moscot took every care to help me pick out frames that not only fit but suited my face. He was thoughtful and I never felt pressured to make a snap judgement. When a pair of glasses is part of your every day, it can be quite stressful to pick out a new frame - it becomes a big part of your identity. Although there are cheaper places to buy glasses, I truly believe that there is no greater value than MOSCOT. The customization and care you receive here is worth every cent (and more). I'm so thrilled to have come across this team, and will be looking no further for my eyewear in the future. Thank you! read more

Finding the perfect pair of glasses is always a daunting job. Your looking for quality, then there's the cost, comfort and of course the fashion aspect. "How does it look on me"? It was my sons first ever prescription glasses. Try shopping with a teen.. from the moment we walked in to Moscot it was a great experience. Mario provided thorough information on the company, the craftsmanship and most of all the level of service was beyond expectation! This was such an experience for my son that I think moscot has won a customer for life. So many different options. Wow wished I had this as my first experience with purchasing glasses. To the staff at melrose and most especially Mario- thank you so much for your kindness and expertise. See you shortly because you've got us all hooked read more

This review is for MOSCOT on Melrose. I drove almost 20 miles just to get my frames. Mario at Moscot is the man! His expertise, knowledge, and welcoming demeanor make you feel like part of a family. He made sure I was fitted properly. I am surely coming back for more. Mario THANK YOU!!!!!! read more

You can't miss this place from it's facade. It's bright yellow, and the interior design has a lot of character. Everything inside seems very high quality, and you're purchasing from a family owned business, rather than Luxxotica. (Everywhere you get your glasses from is probably owned by Luxxotica. -- Yes, even Oliver Peoples.) MOSCOT is significantly better than Oliver Peoples, and the price point is fair in comparison. Usually when I shop for frames-- there's only very few frames that I like. I loved almost all of the frames that were on display! I will be back for more. Everyone inside was extremely helpful and nice. I'm so happy with my visit. Shout out to Tania for all the help! read more

Having worn glasses most of my life I can say that the majority of my glasses shopping experiences have been daunting and overwhelming. I am in my late 30s and this is the first time I have had an enjoyable experience. The staff (George specifically) was extremely helpful with not just their product but helpful with selection and knowledgeable with face styles, shape, colors, materials, and sizes. I didn't need an eye exam, but they have the option and ability to do in house for glasses prescriptions. I will only be shopping here for glasses in the future. read more

What a fantastic experience I had buying new glasses @ Moscot on Montana Avenue, Santa Monica! I had heard Moscot was the best, so I went in to see for myself. What a store they have! And they've been in the business for almost 100 years. I was greeted by David who was clearly an eyeglasses professional. He patiently helped me search for the right pair of frames for my face (I tried on a lot of them!) and showed me all of the different colored tints they offer. Wow! High quality product, pricey, yet well worth it. I had been to other eyeglass stores, but none of them compare to the wide selection and excellent customer service I received at Moscot SM. Arturo and Haime helped me too. Such nice, professional gentlemen, great service with a smile. I highly recommend going both for eye glasses & sunglasses. You won't be disappointed! read more

While we've purchased Moscot glasses in the past, we found that this locations staff was completely unprofessional. The gentleman that was helping us was kind enough, while two other staff members were talking shit and laughing while we were trying to decide on a pair of glasses. I'm baffled that two grown men behaved this way, unprovoked. I immediately told my husband that we needed to leave because I refuse to transact with disrespectful people. Horrible display of the company's image and would not recommend. Take your business where it's appreciated read more

The team at Moscot Melrose is 100% professional and helpful. I had a problem with my glasses and they fixed it quickly! Highly recommend!

An amazing, tailored experience from start to finish. During my visit, I had the pleasure of working with Mario, in which he helped find the perfect pair of glasses for me. He so did a custom fitting in house and answered all questions I had with expertise. It's worth going in person ! I'm thrilled to get my first pair of glasses soon. read more

I'll never know bout this business. It's hella hot outside and I'm waiting outside for over 30 minutes. I'm disappointed that as customer whose already paid a lot of money to this place they're making me wait in the heat on a nappy + skanky corner without shade. Fine designs though! Better to enjoy your experience online. read more

These folks are top notch. I've been through many adjustments and changes and everything was handled perfectly. Lots of styles to choose from. Check this place out as alternative to the mall stores. read more

Hoang at the Melrose, LA shop is the type of employee every retail business wishes they had on their team. Gracious and personable, he patiently worked with us to find the perfect pair of glasses. However, he seriously made a positive impression by personally following up with us months afterward, ensuring we were happy with our purchase. He also put in extra effort to find an out-of-stock frame at another shop and managed the delivery with expediency. I wish he could teach my local SF Bay Area optometrist shops a few lessons in customer service... read more

I love sunglasses and eyeglasses. I brought some friends in here because I bought a few pair in the New York store and was so impressed with their customer service, knowledge, history, and styles. I wasn't that impressed with this store. I thought that with all the enthusiasm and other customers, my friends, who I brought in there to buy their glasses and who walked out with 4 pair that they would have treated me with a bit more dignity and courtesy. They honestly weren't that helpful when it came around to little ole' me. It was almost as though they thought, meh, we sold some glasses, we don't really need anything from this person. You can go now. It's a pity because I wanted to get new eyeglasses and sunglasses. I prefer to wait until the SF store opens or just get them somewhere with more updated styles. read more
