i attended this place today...well, i hope Marina the owner had her PMS today. Otherwise, she is just plain hysterical b...ch, who i asked to fix or find a similar to mine frame - to put my lenses in... she started with normal customer service, but suddenly without any apparent reason started yelling and running to the back room, saying that she "should stick to her guns", telling another customer - in MY presence(about me) that this "ten dollar job won`t pay my rent" - it was so degrading and low class at the same time. i said i m going to leave - not to hear her yelling...Her poor employee(or poor husband) was trying to keep me from leaving, but she continued to behave crazy. Marina, the owner, rushed me a couple of temporary lens while she ordered my custom-made contact lens which took time. AB Cee Optical is one of Hollywoods' best-kept secrets! No matter when you walk in, there are happy customers there :) Marina and Alex have taken amazing care of my vision for over 20 years now. My high school friend brought me here when I was having problems with Pearl Vission. I've had crummy eyesight since I was little, and learning how to wear contacts at 14 years old was a challenge for me. It was a mess. I really needed someone who would patiently walk me through the process, teach me how to wear my lenses. Marina sat with me for a while that day, making sure I was comfortable putting in my contacts and taking them out. During those 20 years, I've lived in different parts of Cali. Got of pair of Robert Marc frames at Abcee for less than I've seen anywhere else. I get complements on my glasses all the time, despite my bottle cap lenses 8) Customer service here is great. Alex spends a lot of time with his customers... that said, you will get a lot of info and special treatment but be prepared to spend a significant chunk of time here. When I got home, I noticed a bunch of scratches on my lenses. I called Abcee and they told me to come back in. Alex was very apologetic about the mistake and fixed my lenses without a fight. The selection is decent but it is not by any means large. I would recommend you give this place a try... they had exactly what I looking for!!! read more

This is a tiny shop that you might just walk by if you weren't looking for it. I've purchased my last two pairs of glasses from this place and I couldn't speak more highly of the customer service. The woman who helped me with my frames and prescription is so incredibly patient, which feels really good after getting rushed around in a place like Lens Crafters. Sometimes with big purchases like glasses I'm pretty indecisive, so it's nice to not feel rushed or like someone is annoyed by your million questions. The other great thing about this place is that they have knockoff frames for really cheap, or they can switch out the lenses on your existing frames very affordably. You can select from a range of qualities / coatings. Definitely recommend, glasses and lenses don't need to be as expensive as what LC would like you to believe! Happy customer. read more

The screw holding my glasses together (on one side) came out. I happened upon AB CEE Optical by luck simply because I was close by and googled eyeglasses. Marina could not have been more helpful and thorough and generous with her time. She fixed and tightened my glasses on both sides, cleaned them and then noticed that they were fogging up while I was wearing my mask (Covid protection). She applied a special cloth to protect against fogging up and didn't charge me a penny for her help. We talked for a few minutes and she told me that they are moving to Studio City by the end of the year. I decided to try this place because it is close by and not a chain as I used to go to. Not disappointed but very pleased. I got undivided attention from the store manager, Marina. She is very knowledgeable and accommodating. They have a nice selection of designer and non-designer frames. Marina took pictures of me in several frames and I went home to decide. Next day I chose a wonderful frame with customized color lenses. It is a busy area but they have ample parking in the back. I recommend this place highly. The best place to get contact lenses! First of all the staff are nice and polite, I am sure they take a great care to everybody. My story is short but to the point of the HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SERVICE I was stupid enough to lose my last contact lenses and was "blind" for the evening, I had to call all the Optical places around me and none of them had my contact lenses then when I called AB CEE OPTICAL they said they kept one or two couples of lenses which were exactly what I needed, they said they had such situations before and I got those lenses the same day and was able to order more for the next day and she called me when they arrived so I went to pick them up and she didn't even charge me for the ones I was wearing when I got them as temporary ones, This place is the best, Love it and definitely recommend this place to fix your glasses, buy lenses or just buy any optics.... read more

The owner Marina is rude, she talks herself and her 'deals' up way too much, truth is we found prices 30% cheaper at a few other places but she's close to us and we like to support small business. There were many issues with the lenses and after going back 3 times, she lost her temper, had zero customer service and just flipped th F out, refunded our money and told us to get lost. Funny thing is, another customer was in there for the same reason, messed up lenses/prescription. It's unfortunate because they do have a good selection of glasses and in a good location, but the attrocious behavior of this grown woman that acts like a child is just a sad sight to see. UPDATE: I took my own advice and got some lenses from this place. Terrible. The lenses give me a headache, it's like some weird distorted plastic. I should have went to Costco. On my way back home, I stopped into Abcee Optical to ask if somebody could help me adjust the frames I had bought online. The ear piece was pushing my ears out. I was greeted by the owner who told me I was talking too fast, relax, and sit down. He asked where I got my glasses, where the lenses came from, lots of questions as he examined the way the frames sat on my face. He then went about adjusting them as he continued talking about how Costco is too big, they process glasses like sausage, why didn't they adjust your frames, etc. Well, hard to argue with that. He's right. And I feel bad that I didn't help support his establishment. He was super knowledgeable and you could tell he cares greatly about hooking people up with the perfect frames and prescription. He showed me the machine he uses to carve out lenses in shop and a girl in the back added 'bottom line, we give you better lenses for less money than Costco." I paid him 3 bucks for the adjustment and left so he could attend to a new customer. We should all try to support places like this run by experts who care about their trade. The end. read more

Great place to get contacts or glasses! I wear glasses my whole life and checked a lot of places before coming to this one. I have high astigmatism so it's a bit tricky to get the right glasses for me. Marina (the worker) double checked my vision to confirm the prescription and made lots of really great recommendations on what glasses and coating to choose. In this day and age of automated systems and overseas call centers good customer service is a rare find. Thank fully places like this one exist and stick to their guns. Alex and Marina have been in business for years and their service is excellent. They have a wide price range on frames from the cheaper no name brands all the way up to expensive stuff like DIOR, D&G, etc. They are also one of the very few Silhouette dealers in LA (those are awesome glasses for those who dont like to wear glasses.) They will work with your insurance and wont sell you BS. I cant recommend them enough. One thing to remember is that you will need a prescription before purchasing from them so make sure to have one before getting new pair. read more

A friend recommended this optical shop to me in Hollywood. I had been searching for an inexpensive place. Marina and an assistant both helped me. I can see how people might take her personality as rude - she's a straight shooter. I personally liked her very much - but what i like the most was the prices. They repaired the frames of my Prada glasses for free and ordered new lenses. I also purchased a backup pair of glasses with my new prescription. When i moved to LA from the east coast my glasses broke. Being the cheap bastard i am, i called all over LA looking for the best deal on a new set. I called and viisited china town shops. Shops on sunset. Shops in the valley. And this place has the least expensive any where in LA period. How cheap? Ok so for a set of prescription lenses and a set of frames was only 45 bucks. They tinted them for an extra 15! AND the russian owners are super nice and helpfull to recheck your presxription for free. They also have high-end expensive gucci, dc and ray bans available. Great place. Great owners. And they do all the lens cutting and have a full lab on site. read more

I live in Florida and this morning I awoke to find one of my lenses fell out of my glasses. I went to Cee Optical and the young lady could not have been nicer. In addition to fixing the lens, she also pointed out that one of the nose plugs was missing and matched one to my glasses so I wouldn't have to pay for a pair of nose plugs. After a horrendous experience with LensCrafters that saw me sink over a grand on contacts that did not fit the curvature of my eye, eyeglasses that got lost by them, and an incorrect vision assessment I decided to try Ab Cee Optical because I could use CareCredit there. I desperately needed to see and LensCrafters had already taken all my money, I had no choice but to charge it! I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by what I found here, and somewhat irritated with myself for not coming here in the first place. The shop is family owned and that's pleasantly obvious from the get go. They EARN your business and they've certainly made a fan out of me. Marina has bent over bassackwards to find a contact lens for me that is finally comfortable after so much disappointment with other opticians(LensCrafters) who throw a box of lenses at you and that's the end of it. She FedEx'd me lenses to try until we found just the right correction that didn't dry my eyes and that was a great thing. Of the 5 senses, vision is the one I would hate to part with the most and from here on out I trust my vision to the great family that runs this tip-top eye shop in Hollywood...
