this is the best eye shop I've ever been to in my life. I've been coming here for 4 years and the owner has always taken care of me. I purchased $300 Carrera frames from him 3 years ago and have bent them multiple times. each time he's brought them back to life like they're new and will not take payment. they treat you like family and the service is bar none. I will be a customer for the rest of my life read more

These guys are the best in the bank, no one beats their service and professionalism . I've been going here for 4 years and filled many prescription glasses here , have taken regular sunglasses to change to prescription, these guys are the best! read more

Great service! Honest, knowledgeable and extremely patient. Have been a repeat customer over and over again and appreciate this small boutique glasses store. I appreciate the competitive pricing we have to offer. read more

I've been a patron here for maybe ten years now. Their Licensed Dispensing Optician, Azaria Kermanshahi, is patient, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I was first introduced to him by a private eyeglass retailer who has since retired, named Mark from Spectrum Optical. Mark assured me I would be taken care of with Eye Opener and to this day he hasn't been wrong. read more

Eye Opener - Glasses - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Always very helpful and great quality glasses and lenses. Thank you! Highly recommend!!!

I've been going here since I was a little girl. They always helped me right away whether it was for an eye-check up, a new pear of glasses, or to fix or adjust my glasses. They have a large selection of glasses (and sunglasses) and have tons of patients to help you try on and pick a pair of glasses that suits you and that you like. Every single time (which was a few times a week) I went there to adjust my glasses as a kid or even as an adult they fixed my glasses perfectly to the way I like them without charge. I can't think of a better place to go then here! read more

This is the go to place the owner and his staff are so professional. Very helpful. Will explain everything . I went to lens crafters they did not do an eye exam and wanted to charge me $180.00. I came here, $49.00 great selection of glasses. I told my friends to come here. read more

This guy was really nice when I came in to tighten my glasses and sunglasses. He has the machine that heat them up to bend the plastic back into shape. He was very nice and patient and fixed both for free. Based on that, I'd definitely go back to buy from him. read more

Well, I wanted to have something to review here but we walked out after 20 minutes of being ignored by the dude working there. One star for some cute frames. -4 for everything else. read more

Fantastic store. Great selection, fair prices. Kind, soft spoken, generous spirited owner. Very patient with each customer. Also, they make minor repairs for anyone free of charge even if you purchased the frames elsewhere. I even order my contact lenses from this store. A perfect example of a mom and pop shop that is better than the big chains. read more

I just happened to stop in looking for someone who could give me a new eyeglass prescription and they referred me to a Dr. Newman, who used to work there. (See my review of her. She was amazing!) I was told that Dr. Newman would give me a discount if I was referred from Eye Opener. So I went to see her. Post the best eye exam ever, Dr. Newman gave me a quote for new glasses but highly recommended that I fill the prescription at Eye Opener. I went back to EYE OPENER and I got three pair of glasses for what I usually pay for one. And the glasses and service were top notch. Glasses were ready before the promised date. I had a little trouble adjusting to one pair, ran over there and they made a couple adjustments and I was on my way. Highly recommend checking this place out. It's been there for years, but I drove all the way to Pasadena to my trusted eyeglass guy, but I'm making the switch! What an EYE OPENING experience. read more

Great customer experience. Selection is good and the team has excellent taste. They helped me pick out frames and I get many compliments on them. Highly recommended! read more

Azaria is an old school businessman. He treats folks thoughtfully and kindly. He's great at what he does. It's a small shop so, since each person is treated like a royal, you might have to wait a bit as he gives the best he can to each customer. Several years ago I went in to pick up a pair of sunglasses that I'd ordered to fill a 6 month old Rx. I couldn't read the movie marquee across the street! I thought they'd made the glasses wrong. A few questions revealed it was probably a side effect of Humira. Not even my Cedar Sinai rheumatologist was aware of that, she treated me like a was a cute, deluded child until the next visit when I brought in the RX printout which indicated vision change was so important it was included above the more generalized list of possible side effects! Thanks, Azaria! read more

Fantastic store!! Great service. Conscientious and caring owner. Our 5 year old wears a very strong prescription and his last pair from another store were extremely thick and kept sliding down his nose. Eye Opener was able to make him the same prescription but half as thick with a good fit and at a very reasonable price. Our family will take all our future business here with pleasure! read more

What a great service!! great selection of modern eyeglasses for adults and kids. I purchased 2 pairs of glasses one for me and one for my son. we both have very complicated prescriptions but the owner did them perfectly and accurately. I have never seen so clearly with eye glasses. and I have been wearing glasses for most of my life! read more

Conway Courier did a delivery for Eye Openers. The store is very quaint & the owner Azaria is easy to deal with. The location is on Beverly Bl in 90036. I hope to do more deliveries for them in the near future. read more

Great place! Came in with my teenage son's broken glasses (purchased elsewhere). I had tried about four other opticians in the area but none could help. They took them with no questions asked and repaired then in a couple of hours. When I asked the charge, I was told there was no charge. This is the kind of business I will return to -- and so should you. Old-fashioned customer service, a nice selection, and a convenient location. What more could you ask? read more

Have been going to Eye opener for years. The glasses are excellent in quality and the owner is extremely knowledgeable and works hard to get the best possible combination of lens and frame for each customer. He gives full attention to whomever he is working with and this sometimes takes time. The wait is well worth it. Despite having early catarracts, he helped me get glasses that correct my vision to almost perfect, and they look good, too! read more

I've been going to Eyeopener for 3 years. It's a family business and the owner is knowledgeable, friendly and very fair. His prices for lenses are great and he sells you the product he's quoted unlike some very high end shops that I've purchased eyewear from that have delivered a cheaper lens after I'd paid for a higher quality one. They have a good selection of frames for smaller faces as well. read more

EYE OPENER. This is the name of the store and it represents it's name well. If it needs to be said, this is an eye glass store that not only sells all types of frames (an extensive collection) but can check your eyes and give you a precise prescription. Besides the clever name that represents what kind of store this is, it also represents the type of care that is unique to ANY business. I have gone to this store solely since I discovered it years ago, extending to my family and friends. Both the owner (and his assistant) are beyond helpful and kind. He will take you in and give you the help you need, whether you purchase anything at the time or not. I was recently in and he spent over an hour during which he provided me with a new prescription, as well as deciding on frames. Knowing I would not be making a purchase at that time. He does everything with a smile, patience and kindness. If this information is new to you, then i urge you to see (no pun intended) for yourself. I do not write reviews, but felt compelled to take the time to do so. read more

Eye opener is............ Awesome!! Azaria was very helpful, patient, and kind. He's a very trustworthy man and wouldn't charge me for any minor repairs. Ive seen kids between the ages of 9 and 15 go in there alone because their parents trust Azaria to outfit their kids with the latest style with a fair price to match. Its a very convenient location - Beverly! Azaria has earned my business as I frequently purchase glasses and sun glasses to keep with the style, try him out you wont be disappointed. read more
